mounting a bedroom tv high on the wall makes watching better from the bed.. a lower mount location you need to prop your head up with pillows and you often have to look thru your toes/feet. I would consider a higher mount that tilts down slightly..

People can hate on it all they want, and it absolutely is no perfect - no one is claiming it is - but it is still a very rich, very diverse, very beautiful state with a lot to offer. Even if you absolutely despise Los Angeles, you need to keep in mind that LA is NOT all of California, it's not even representative of the rest of SoCal.
I owned a top floor 2500 sq ft loft in downtown Atlanta for 14 years. Lost it when the building caught fire and pretty much destroyed all 8 lofts in the old warehouse. Concrete floors are the best. You can drop bowling balls on them and any cracks just add "character" to the floor. LOL! Your pad brings back a lot of great memories. Have fun with it!

I did noticed the difference in your hair style, glasses and also change in colour of the video. But I also thought it was filmed on the same day, you know because you can tie up your hair and stuff. You do look cooler and smarter when you hair is tied and with those glasses. Loved this video.

You can see that color combination of kitchen cabinets in a lot of the apartments in Miami, so it is not a Dallas thing. Love the new floor, I would like to see more of it, and the ceiling.
Sara, I live in Arlington. I could show you how to make pipe furniture if you want to do that kind of stuff. I have created several things and incorporate valves and knobs and all kinds of stuff for an industrial look. It's pretty cool way to go, although the supplies are getting expensive with the price of piping, etc. Still cool to do accent pieces like that. You could create a bed pedestal, for instance and have pipe legs with floor flanges as the feet, for instance. Glad you're back home. ;)
This was really fun! Can’t wait to see the finished product. It’s going to great. Re the HOA situation, one thing you might consider is that one of you serve on the board. As a board member for several years I’ve learned there is a lot more to it than it appears from the outside.

btw Sarah it's called the herringbone pattern it's pretty popular in patios with stone. Have fun with the remodel we are doing the same now. Making the butcher block countertop for ours.
You can’t go wrong. Both designers did an excellent job 😊 I actually like the first rendering best. Less color...more uniform, less busy...cleaner looking, simpler. But everyone’s taste is different. And I don’t dislike the one you chose..
I got white counter tops and I don’t recommend. Pots, pans, and metal scuffs the white. Use a counter top material with light veins. I’m constantly cleaning marks off of my counter since I can see them b/c it’s such a large white area.
Nice space. You were very brave to rip out the wood flooring, but the polished concrete was worth it. I actually liked the living room shelving of the 1st designer, except I would have used thicker diameter of black piping to play off the black squares of your windows. As for the kitchen, I prefer the waterfall peninsula of the 1st designer. Its too bad that weird angle has to be kept due to the post in the kitchen. For the backsplash, I would go bright in a with a classic, timeless pattern which means either standard subway tiles or white carrera marble if budget allows. For appliances, you can never go wrong with stainless steel, starting with a industrial wolf range with chunky red knobs. The last thing I would add is an butcher block island on casters to be positioned in front of said range.
Love the redesign, the one you picked is great, the only thing I personally don't like is the angled peninsula, it cuts into the living/dining area too much

Your apartment reminds me of the downtown Dallas office I worked in during my first video editing gig many years ago. The industrial, city look is just not my vibe, but that night also be because it conjures up awful memories of working long nights and attempting to pull off miracles for a boss that didn't have a clue. To each his own. I just want to buy a house that looks like a miniature castle, but there's probably not a whole of those in DFW.

On both of our comments alone she was able make enough to hire people on fiver to design her her own personal algorithm that prints her own 1000 dollar bills using blockchain technology out of thin air, via YT brinks truck, by way of old school valve shutoff into their home office. The yt algorithm is a bit like the music industry in the 1970s meaning it’s many many many money funneling schemes ads and media in order to make the host company enough money that by the time you’ve figured or found out that currency doesn’t exist or there is non left for anyone. The internet is still a huge wild Wild West with not many regulations in many areas that are starting to change yet again in such a way that some the rich will likely get richer and the poor will likely be much poorer working that much harder in certain fields that pay less/ more hours and some will understand new ways to make make money that most wouldn’t even say was work…. Props to ginger hotty with a relentless effort to promote her own brand
Love your industrial loft! When you get done making it over, it won’t feel dated. What your style? It took me awhile to figure out I’m a modernist and Bauhaus design and architecture is right up my alley. While its a mess now, it hopefully won’t be long before your new condo is uniquely yours and thanks for the tour!
