@@TravelsWithBert Turns out there are two of them, either side of a gate as expected, but in this case they are each standing on a sea turtle. I have not much interest in yaks, but I love me some sea turtles. Both my children were born in Ranong but I have not been there in thirty years. Maybe I should visit again.
@@steverosse As far as I can figure, they are there to ward off evil spirits, but I'm not sure where the turtles fit into the picture. Ranong is a laid-back province, maybe you should give it a try.
