Numerous people have hired private investigators to look into Patterson and i hear he has no executive experience, several bankruptcies, lawsuits, owns nothing, and this house he rented and living in that the company is registered under is being paid by VV. Prior to that he was living in some dingy duplex. I also heard that this just the tip on him. So this is getting interesting
and he owes his wife, and at the same time, COO of this clown company VVR, a lot of money. I have this from a source that was very near him. I also know stuff about Mikael Pettersson. He wrote to me on my Messenger account, and threatened to sue me both in Sweden (I'm Norwegian) and in the US, so he told me to thread carefully. He got scared obviously. Mikael is a crook and a bluff. Plain and simple. That is my opinion, strengthened by information I have on him. @@michellejessey8654
Nice and good thoughts. I think it is b). Stringing people along with the bimonthly "next week" bs, in order for the residents not to give up. In order to avoid cancellations. In order to avoid his card house to collapse. By the way. It is spelled "Braemar". Not "Breamer". It is spelled "Fred. Olsen". Not Ohls(s)on. It is a Norwegian company. Hence OlsEN, and not the Swedish OHLSSON. Two s' in Swedish. So remember. Fred. Olsen. "Fred" is an abbreviation of Fredrik. A Norwegian first name. He was the founder of Fred. Olsen.
@@henrikbredal7517 Yes- I have heard the scuttlebutt surrounding Mike Pettersen and none of it is good. Buying the ship in the first place- his most recent actions- stringing passengers along, makes me think, at minimum, he is incompetent, and worst case scenario-a conman. Many people from Storylines and Life At Sea believe the latter. You have to ask yourself- did he seem too charming? Did he tell you exactly what you wanted to hear? Listen- I've been conned- so I know their MO.

I think going back to the US is the perfect place to hangout and get things done before you fly back for the sail away. Thanks for taking us on your journey.
Now that we are back, we completely agree. It was hard to accept, but now we have peace. We can fly back whenever she sails away or catch her at one of the first few ports.
@@MidLifeCruising95 safe travels looking forward to the official start I hope that villa vie really celebrate s when you all sail out for the first time @Inspire’d
Never change who you are, it’s why we watch you. You bring fun, honesty, and a beautiful positive attitude to your circumstances! We are along for the ride, whether in the USA or on the ship!
Being accused of being positive is a good thing guys. You wear it well. Love the birds chirping in the background and the porch - oh my goodness! Enjoy your time at home and keep the faith.
You did have 85 days of fabulous experiences and now you just need to come in for some Chik-fil-A. You'll be back onboard soon! Thank you for the update!
Stay tight as a couple. Everyone has different financial priorities and should not be bullied. We love your story, and this is all part of it. God bless you.
It is human nature to be disappointed when you have such high hopes of your end goal. That doesn't mean you are not supportive of the company. Angela, you look so cute! I kind of wanted to see you operating a still out in the woods making some peach moonshine with your overalls on lol. Best of luck guys! Thanks for the video!
@@MidLifeCruising95yes I agree, you look so beautiful with your hair up, and I love the porch and rocking chairs x x xI wish most U.K houses had porches ..we get enough rain we need them! X x x
Hey Friends! So good to see the 2 of you just hanging out and enjoying your front (back?) porch! You'll appreciate the down time while you await your floating home to be ready to go. Keeping it real is one of your best attributes! Until next time...
I worked with one of your fellow passengers (Andy G) years ago and have been following his blog. He was one of the Life at Sea people, and I have really been hoping the Villa Vie cruise works out for him. That’s how I found your vlog. You seem like a really nice couple, and now I’m rooting for you, too. Enjoy your time in the US. Best wishes that your travel dreams are realized soon!
I agree with your approach to life! Being negative and worrying accomplishes nothing but ruining your day. Focus on the positive, be optimistic and life overall is better and more exciting! You WILL sail, I am confident.
I think that this is why I enjoy following you guys. You are not rich or millionaires, you could be any of us. You give us ideas and hopes that we could do it too. Thank you.
i know how it is. we were planning on MY dream trip of cruising transatlantic to europe/driving around europe in our shipped over rv-van and transatlantic back after 6 months of traveling around. the pandemic made me move it 7 times then, i had emergency back surgery 4 months before our trip started. the amount of nay sayers and negative attitudes were abundant. my hubs got nervous but, i just kept plowing through. we made that trip and it was the trip of our lifetime. only regret was we couldn't do it again and again. you do you and enjoy, enjoy. it will all work out as long as you two keep your positive attitudes.
Thank you for sharing, MidLife Cruising: While I don't mind taking a cruise to Alaska and will, in 2026. I have found that seeing the country by camper van is far more appealing for me. The best part is getting to discover places that I've never seen. Hidden gems with scenic outlooks and seeing the sun rise over the mountains in the morning. Including watching the wildlife outside of my window, while cooking over an open fire and finding peace in those quiet moments. Surrounded by nature and overlooking a great fishing spot set on a picturesque lake. Often times boondocking for free, on a limited budget and you can't beat a free boondocking spot. While driving the open roads, all on a limited budget with money to spare and great memories to share. -All my best always.
Everything in life is a risk, some things more than others. This one seems well worth taking. I hope it all comes to fruition and the ship is your new home and it all works out, and soon.
It’s one thing to be disappointed, but you are still positive, honest, 100% transparent. I admire you both so much still anxious to see when you’re ready to board.🎉🎉
Steve, grumpy? Naaaaah! You guys are awesome, optimistic, and honest! And shame on those folks who accuse you of not being supportive of Villa Vie. You guys are great ambassadors for the project. Enjoy time with family and friends, and let us know how Steve’s cardiac tests pan out. Gotta keep your guy healthy and strong! Sending good vibes from Florida!🌴
💗No judgement here, you just have to do what works for you! And I hear those beautiful birds and see the lovely green in the back. So lovely. Don't worry, it will all work out the way it is meant to. Blessings and good health to you both. Angela, be sure you get your check-ups too!💗
Thank you so much for the beautiful video of Iceland! I am so glad you have content to show us and also to remind you both of the wonderful adventures you have had and of those yet to come! I think you are being practical and wise to come back to the US-money can be spent quickly while traveling, and none of this was expected expenditures. You do not owe us or the world any justification for this decision. I think this all shows good sense. Take care and I hope all goes well with Steve’s appointment.
@@MidLifeCruising95 nothing wrong with some home comforts, I’d quite like to visit Belfast for a weekend but not months 😂 not been to many places in the states so that would be the real adventure for me
New to the channel and just subscribed. Is this your house in the mountains? Side note, I’m from Boston and looking to move down south, and become a snow bird…either Tennesse, Kentucky or possibly West Virginia. Do you enjoy living in that area? As much as I’d love to cruise for a year, not in the budget at this time. Blessings to you both!
My wife and I have been watching from a distance…hoping this works for you so we can live vicariously through your adventures. We love to travel and plan to do it as much as possible when we retire. Good luck to both of you.
The way I see it, after all your waiting and traveling over the past 85 days, you need a break. Where you're at looks quiet and peaceful. A bit of normal and getting Steve taken care of medically will have you both rested, restored, and ready to rejoin VVR when they're good to go. Angela, I agree. You look like you're ready to whip up a batch of moonshine or tend the chickens, hang out laundry, and shell some peas. It looks good on you! You both look relaxed and content.
Thanks so much....definitely very peaceful and quiet here!!! My secret love is tending to chickens.... I said I wish I could have them on the top deck! ha
I admire your fortitude! My husband and I took early retirement more than 20 years ago and did a bit of traveling overseas and enjoyed every trip. Do as much as you can while you can!! But Father Time eventually catches up with you but you will have happy memories!!
I love your openness and honesty. Blow the nay sayers . . . it’s your life, your choices, not theirs! Wishing you both well in all of life’s adventures :). (UK Cornwall) x
Good on you for doing whats best for you and staying as positive as you can. Part of being on social media is that there are alot of people who think they know whats best for you and have big opinions without all the facts!! You just keep being you. Belfast is less of a city without you too lovely people! However it’s always lovely to get home for a while . Sending love hope and best wishes from Dublin ❤❤
You’re definitely doing the right thing by giving Belfast and Villa Vie a swerve until things are more definite. A change of scene will do you both a ton of good. I bet already it seems a long way away. You both will return refreshed and raring to go when you get the news you’re expecting.

That is such a beautiful place you’re in, the sounds and sights remind me so much of the small farming community in Tennessee where my Dad’s from, I have spent many an hour on porches with family members enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside. You've certainly made the best of your time while waiting for your world cruise to begin. All the travel, adventures, and remaining flexible in the face of some challenges & disappointments. Most people, myself included, would probably not be as positive & accommodating in this circumstance. You made the right decision to come back to the U.S. and take care of all the things you need to do.
Not sure about the right decision, but it is sure fun getting to know you and following your updates. It's kind of like Netflix series season 1. I hope in season 2 you sail 🙂
My brother's FIL was Irish and had the thickest brogue. I'd listen to him knowing this was the English language, but also knew I couldn't understand a word he said.
Whoa. This means conclusively and definitively that the company brazenly lied when it published a video (still live) where it said sea trials were "Successfully Completed." They also lied when they said "Next Step, The Odessey's Inaugural Voyage." Glad you guys are hanging in, but these people are beyond contempt.
@@MidLifeCruising95 Imagine being in the position of communicating the most significant news you've ever had, to hundreds of passengers hanging on your every word. If VV truly thought they were done, without having confirmed that every required approval had been granted, they are plainly incompetent. TBH, given that you are going to be trusting your lives to these people, I would say the happier interpretation is simply that they lied to you.
I read “successfully completed” differently than many people and don’t see that as a lie. I’ve read it that as the sea trial was completed successfully. Meaning that the sea trial ended and that in itself was successful. Hey, it didn’t sink !!!😂I think the problem was using the word successful, which caused many people to read that they passed the sea trial successfully. I know I’m could be crazy but that’s kind of how I read it. Either way I’m very sorry for your continued wait, but you both look so great sitting on the porch relaxed. Chick-fil-A can do that to a person. 😜 I guess the positive that you can take from the negative comment from your fellow passenger, is that you now know their true personality and going forward you know how to maneuver that and/or avoid them! Stay safe, keep the faith, and keep being you because it’s so refreshing. If you have to be there for any short amount of time, please post some videos on the area. I’ve always been fascinated and would love to see more of it. Bless you and you continue to be in my prayers 🙏🏻♥️💚💕🙌🏻

You both are so endearing and honest. In the world we all live in this is so refreshing and those cynics amongst us can only hope to emulate you both. From my gardens overlooking Belfast I can see Villa Vie languishing in the Port and every day my heart aches a little for you all. As a native I am fiercely proud and protective of Belfast, but I am a very pragmatic and nothing but honest, and I realise that Belfast (after a long weekend) loses it lustre after a while. I hope that this delayed experience hasn't blighted or prejudiced your view of my hometown and that someday, when you all return, you will see Belfast through different eyes. As always keeping you, your dreams, aspirations and hope's in my thoughts and prayers.

I love how positive you are in this situation! I am curious to know if there’s a “tipping point” where you decide it’s not worth it anymore? Such as if it happens to be another 2 months and still you’re waiting…or a certain budget situation? Bigger news than just working through sea trials, etc.? I truly hope it never comes to that, but just curious!
i think too much has been spent on the ship for it not to go ahead. Also all the crew are there being paid. Good Luck. I was on the ship several times, a very pretty ship inside. When the ship was stretched by 102 feet an extra restaurant, a forward viewing lounge, a pub bar and a second pool were added., plus some more deck space
I was just thinking about you and suddenly up popped your video. It's so good to see that you returned back home safely. It's such a gorgeous view you have there on your doorstep. I'm surprised that you would want to leave such a beautiful scene. Take care, and I hope that you get your dream sooner rather than later. 🤗🍀
hello fellow hoosier. would love to see videos from Appalachia too. I hope that you have actual launch news and a winter in the Caribbean . But the funding to redecorate and run that ship has to be inadequate. Im also hearing that the gal kicked off didn't get her luggage or an immediate refund. It doesn't encourage someone like me turning 60 to buy a segment or a nice cabin on 8. Many people are also waiting the shakeup of the condo situation in Florida as well. If you want to come visit in Michiana let me know.

Olsen.
Thanks for your thoughts. We have heard most of this before. We are basically in a wait and see pattern at this point.
I love that you guys are so honest about your budget. Good people and vibes. I think I will be watching you guys for a long time.

i know how it is. we were planning on MY dream trip of cruising transatlantic to europe/driving around europe in our shipped over rv-van and transatlantic back after 6 months of traveling around. the pandemic made me move it 7 times then, i had emergency back surgery 4 months before our trip started. the amount of nay sayers and negative attitudes were abundant. my hubs got nervous but, i just kept plowing through. we made that trip and it was the trip of our lifetime. only regret was we couldn't do it again and again. you do you and enjoy, enjoy. it will all work out as long as you two keep your positive attitudes.
Thanks for sharing and thanks so much!!!
I would love to do life that way, and have even suggested it. Steve says no driving for him... ha ha

Whoa. This means conclusively and definitively that the company brazenly lied when it published a video (still live) where it said sea trials were "Successfully Completed." They also lied when they said "Next Step, The Odessey's Inaugural Voyage." Glad you guys are hanging in, but these people are beyond contempt.
I think they truly thought that. The DNV and Flag don't agree with each other, and the poor VV team is stuck in the middle.
@@MidLifeCruising95 Imagine being in the position of communicating the most significant news you've ever had, to hundreds of passengers hanging on your every word. If VV truly thought they were done, without having confirmed that every required approval had been granted, they are plainly incompetent. I get it....just heart breaking to think that..
@@Ahyeee 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I read “successfully completed” differently than many people and don’t see that as a lie. I’ve read it that as the sea trial was completed successfully. Meaning that the sea trial ended and that in itself was successful. Hey, it didn’t sink !!!😂I think the problem was using the word successful, which caused many people to read that they passed the sea trial successfully. I know I’m could be crazy but that’s kind of how I read it. Either way I’m very sorry for your continued wait, but you both look so great sitting on the porch relaxed. Chick-fil-A can do that to a person. 😜
I guess the positive that you can take from the negative comment from your fellow passenger, is that you now know their true personality and going forward you know how to maneuver that and/or avoid them!

I truly hope it never comes to that, but just curious!
Not really...just going to live life now and hope for the best...not sure if there is much we can do now.

i think too much has been spent on the ship for it not to go ahead. Also all the crew are there being paid. Good Luck. I was on the ship several times, a very pretty ship inside.
