Chaappa Kurish is a 2011 Malayalam thriller film co-written and directed by Sameer Thahir and starring Vineeth Sreenivasan, Fahad Fazil, Roma Asrani, Remya Nambeesan and Nivetha Thomas in the lead roles. The film started production in April 2011 at Ernakulam and released on 14 July. The film is the directorial debut of Thahir.

This song is one of the most underrated songs in the Malayalam film industry....it is unique because most malayalam movie songs focus only on the singer and vocals but I think nobody, except Rex has tried this kind of a music blend which gives importance to both the vocals and instruments...kind of an 'alternative malayalam melody' genre...I guess he got the inspiration from Linkin Park...this song has a 'Somewhere I belong' vibe...:)
