0:36 Sounds like Squeeze Box by The Who
Could you do The Last Time by the Rolling Stones, or put it on your list. I think you would do a great version and it is only four chords
That's a really great tune. I am a big Stones fan. I have a lot of requests I am trying to answer right now as well as some of my own faves I am trying to get posted but I will keep your request in mind for a possible future project, thank You for tuning in and good luck
Hi Marty: could you show us how to do New Orleans lady by Louisiana Le-roux please
Thanx a head a time
Hi there, That is a great tune, I have a lot of requests at the moment, but will keep your request in mind for a possible future project, thanx for tuning in, good luck!!
I really like your version and the personality of this but would be nice if you put the strum pattern in this.
It's a simple up down strum - DUDU DUDU DUDU all the way through the tune, and then when you get comfortable you can add the suspends. Good luck, I hope this helps
Marty would it help you if we let the commercials run or click on familiar ones? if so i will.
both always help, but don't take time out of your schedule for me. I appreciate your thought and concern though, thanx for tuning in, take care and good luck
Hello, sounds great but I was taught C, A, C, A, C, A, one down stroke on the G, B flat, one down stroke A, then strum the D for chorus. take it easy! and I would recommend Night Moves, so much fun to play and has been how I am learning to switch chords fast
+hayden nelson That's the beauty of music, it can be played many different ways. As you get more comfortable you will start to play with the chords of a song. It's called transposing chords and artists have been doing it for years. Stick with it and it will reward you. Good luck
+PartyMarty EasyGuitarTunes Great video! Love how this tune is only a 5 chord song! Hey Marty, do you think you could do any covers for Social Distortion? I just barley learned how to play Ball and Chain, and now I can't stop! Don't stop making videos man!
Hey Marty, thank you for all your video,
But the good transposition of the intro is
F D F D C B Flat
Verse G
Chorus D And E min, it’s not a C,
but C works too with your vocals in the video.
I come to the party late but this song is in the key of D By CCR not G
Hello party Marty. i am 14 years old and im from Denmark. im just start play guitar. but i Wonder how can i learnd to play faster? i try to learnd the song Royals by Lord, on youtube.
+sanne friis That is a great tune. If you mean learn faster, you just have to play as much as you can and I promise it will come, if you mean strum faster, the same applies, play as much as you can and you will find your self speeding up your playing in no time, good luck and take care.
thank you
Could any one tell me what the strumming pattern is please
Hi there, It is a pretty straight forward up and down strum pattern. The thing to remember is to suspend your finger while playing each cord as I have suggested in the vid, to get that bluesy sound out of it. I find that strumming patterns just kind of come as you practice more. So as you get more comfortable with your chord changes, the strumming should just kind of fall into place. Good luck and thanx for tuning in
4 4 normal
Hey Marty, I'm pretty sure the progression goes to Em and not C (where the words "Proud Mary keep on burnin'" comes in on the verse). That's the way I've always played it. Good how-to video, though. All the best. --Jim
+StvMcQueen1 Yes it can be played that way as well. That's the beauty of music, it's not set in stone, different artists play tunes different ways. If I wanted to play it exactly like the record, I probably wouldn't try at all, as I don't quite have the voice of Fogarty but thanx for the info on your version. Just remember to keep your mind open to music, don't box yourself in on "the way it is supposed to be played" change it up a little. Play it your way, who knows you may find that you have your own voice instead of trying to play others. The best of luck to you, take care
+PartyMarty EasyGuitarTunes I didn't give you the right chord to hurt your feelings. And I don't like the idea of butchering anyone's song with major chords where minor chords belong. And, last time I was in the shower singing, I think I did hear my own voice. Have a great day.
+StvMcQueen1 Funny, 31,000 views on that vid and you are the first person to ever suggest that method. You didn't hurt my feelings at all my friend, I'm trying to help you here, to each his own I say, I'm no judge and jury. I'm just telling you to be open minded to other approaches as most or all other experienced musicians do, open your mind brother, it will set you free. As far as butchering a song, again your the first one to say that out of 31k views. I'm sorry you feel that way, but don't worry about my feelings, my friend, I'll be fine. Good luck to you just the same and thanx for tuning in
+PartyMarty EasyGuitarTunes Perhaps "butcher" was too strong a word. Please accept my apologies. I just think the melody line flows smoother with the minor chord, that's all. And, you're right, innovation is good. But, I gave up on aspiring to be on the Grand Ole Opry years ago and am happy to give each artist as much justice as possible, and choose to do so by playing their song as close to the original as I can. You do a great job of instruction. Keep up the good work. All the best. BTW, I zeroed in on your how-to vid of this song because out of all of them, yours is the only one in G. The rest are shown in the record key of D. I too am not John Fogarty. :)--Jim
Get the banjo in marty
I will soon my friend, gotta tonne of requests to get thru first i'm afraid but you never know, thanx for tuning in
would you beable to get together stair way to heaven
That is a really great tune. I am trying to answer a lot of requests at this time but I will put it on my list of possible projects. Thanx for tuning in
Better than John Fogerty. Congrats buddy! I'd like to play and sing in this West-Midland style but I am a Hungaryan guy so I cannot play in style. Here you are my own coveage: photo4u.hu/Feljatszasok/Proud%20Mary.mp3 Please don't laugh me!
No laughing here brother. Nice work. I’m happy you like
