At one point in time, Italian brands dominated the football boots world! Leather boots that were made in Italy is what everybody wanted. Times have changed, but Pantofola d'Oro has not, until now.
In today's video we take a closer look at the 2nd generation Pantofola d'Oro Superleggera 2.0 Canguro in the Nero colorway. Kangaroo leather boots, hand made in Italy and ridiculously light! Mizuno MIJ have even better leather and better quality control. They also cost more, which I suppose is why they're better than Pantofola.

If you like Italian football boots you should check the Valsport Fuoriclasse produced in the 90s...dont know if they are still in the market... You should definitely check them, amazing quality

They get the job done. It certainly nothing exceptional in regards to traction, but it isn't that kind of boot.

Hi Joshua, great review as always, considering all the leather football boots u've tried, which one in your opinion is the softest / most cushioned in the instep part for a perfect first touch / stop on the ball? especially between the superleggera 2.0 and the allure calcio, which one would you suggest for a super soft instep area?

I own these boots, and although they are light, and the heel counter issue josh brought up was valid, I found that the adhesive to the sole on the outer toebox (the part that usually folds in a bit and fills with turf if you play on turf like I do, or even mud) is rather weak and kind of disappointing for a shoe at this price point. I own morelia neo II's and the adhesive to prevent the leather from splitting at the toe box area is a lot better. That said, the leather doesn't actually feel that great, the morelia neo II leather is clearly a whole notch above this leather thats feels rather odd...Despite all of that, I was stunned at how much I actually liked these boots, they feel very comfy and lightweight on your feet, I also play futsal, and these made me feel like I had the ability to do the skill moves I could accomplish with futsal shoes, which is something I haven't really felt before. Josh is also right in this sense, these boots do have a very unique character that I've never felt before. It feels kind of cheap, but it performs amazing, with seemingly minor durability issues. Overall, this shoe feels great, and I would definitely buy them, but I recommend putting in custom insoles.

Would you recommend using leather products on these? If so which ones would u use?
You can use leather care products on any leather boots. Any kind of leather cream or mink oil will work. Whatever they sell at your local shoe store should work fine. I wouldn't recommend anything specific.

Jollybolly Here's a MSN suggestion, you really should decide to make football boot connected skits. (i.e. like some guy wearing these pantofolo..... boots having to explain his boot to normal people) Just to spice things up. I think it can take you a whole new level.
