I've watched every Esu video you have posted, and they are all excellent. It's so great that there is finally some quality material appearing on TH-cam about Him, because it was sparse before, and your material is setting a bar of excellence. A video about the differences of perspective on Esu between Africa and Diaspora would be an interesting one.
6:22 omg I had a dream I was eating pizza with Elegua years ago. It was the first time he presented himself to me. I woke up that day and offered him pizza❤️💛 it went well. I wish i had someone like u in my life. Glad to have found you today.
I'm Brand New To The Yoruba Religion. ESU Is The First Diety I'm Studying Because Eye Feel It's My Orisha. It's Who Eye Connect With The Most. Thank You For Sharing This Information 🙏🏿
In Cuban tradition, Eshu is the dark side, while Elegua is the lighter side. It is twin soul orisha. Elegua is kept inside while Eshu is kept near at the door outside. The idea is that Elegua keeps the good within, while Eshu scares off the envious, the bad out. They both love sweet things, candy, Sake, Thai Chilli sauce food, chocolates, etc. Rarely I give them meat, unless it is sushi form (the ones assigned to me loves this stuff). Things had gotten better for me. I am going to have to get Red Palm Oil to better connect. I use Palm oil to anoint both every Monday. I feel it keeps the Elegua statue and Eshu coconut clean and protective, beyond just an offer. Thank you for your video. So far I haven't offered anything "bad" or big "no-nos", so that is good. I just give them what they tell me personally. You get visions and sensations from the orisha if it is good or not. I like how you gave an example from your own personal experience with a dream of the coke and pizza. 😅I felt the same when I gave Elegua Sake and sushi. But apparently mines loves the stuff. It really depends on the mood of the orishas and as long the big "No-nos" are avoided and we speak to our elders about it it should be fine. I haven't had any problems, nothing too drastic or nasty to be alerted about. Again, thank you for your insightful and educational video on this subject.
I forgot to mention that Elegua loves anything related to children, such as candy, toys, musical instruments, kites, etc. My Elegua loved the Captain America figure I offered him on a Monday, which he responded by giving me a good year of finding consistent jobs as a substitute teacher. 😎🥰After that, I gave him a Transformers figure of Shockwave, which lead me having a job that is even more consistent. He does and makes things happen when you least expected it, so devotees need to be consistent with Monday offerings, big ticket items on the first Monday of every month. At least from my own experience that is how Elegua seem to work with me. One thing I think you forgot to mention is giving people a warning about abandoning Elegua and Eshu. Once one works with them.... Whatever you do NEVER!!!! NEVER EVER FORGET THEM!! They are twin souls who take it very personally when you forget them, especially on purpose. If by accident, quickly give that offering as soon as possible. If ignored for too long... They will make you pay in ways that is hard to recover from afterwards. I keep taps. First thing on every Monday morning, offerings for Elegua and offerings to Eshu. Doesn't have to be fancy, unless it is told to you by Godfather that you give a big ticket item on certain day or days. The orishas are not to play around. They are not Catholic saints who forgive. Orishas give and orishas ca take. Eshu and Elegua especially because they control the paths and destiny of life. I am so shock that many of these videos about Elegua and Eshu tend to overlook and not give that mindful advice of being careful.
My elegua loves new stuff because It fuels his need for knowledge and expansion. Elegua has been places we can’t imagine and some foods remind him of the existence he had and the commodity he shares amongst other spirits that aren’t just in his lineage. Elegua is friends with all and because of his love for food It reminds It of certain walks he experienced and also introduced him to different cultures. For some reason my elegua seems to move quicker when I give him new things that just repeating tradition, he seeks to get bored with the same thing (just my experience). I’m a foodie like him, always trying new meals and new foods. Something that I do which is very potluck ish is let’s say I try 3 different restaurants for the week, I’ll save some from each restaurant in a dish, place the dish in the fridge and then on serving day, reheat It, combine all the foods and serve It like a little potluck of one dish. He loves that ish lol

Hi Jospeh! Im so glad I found your channel. I've studied Vodou and Ifa on and off for years on my own due to lack of community where I live. I was wondering if it's ok to have an elegua head at my door if I was not initiated. It was blessed by the shop from which I bought him. I am following all the guidelines for service and care. I was initiated and I have my Santos, but I don't deal with none of my God parents for really good reason I won't say it on here but if you need to know I tell you, I need help with something spiritually and a reading, can you do this for me?
I recieved my elegua my madrina didn’t say I have to say specific prayers to him, but pray from the heart like rest of my warriors, do you have prayers you have to say?
Hello first timer on your channel , I have a elegua that haven't eaten in years because I moved away from my God parents and no Comunication , what should I do ?
This every good! Id like to know more about the bushrat would you do another for the rat offering. I have lots of it but I was told to use it only when I have obstacles. I heard you say something different. Please explain the different ways of use in detail. This was lovely. I remember when I first got my eshu they told me not to wipe all the blood off of him. Now I know why. 😁
If you notice in the story of the man who offered Eku to Eshu he was facing obstacles, so this was good advice that you were given. I have seen it offered as a live sacrifice as well in dried or powdered form.

@@JosephBabaIfa Will do asap. Much love.
I’m not sure if you’re allowed to share this information but how long should you typically leave out his offerings or any offerings for any Orisha?
7 days or until it turns, whichever comes first.
What would be the best way to go about finding a new house? Sort of distanced myself from my last one for a few different reasons and have sort of been on my own path since. Looking to get back into a house to learn and grow more.

@@JosephBabaIfaah ha yes I've heard that story before. Ijs I'd love to know more ways to use it. Even the toasted corn. Used for prosperity, but can you use as an offering the same as you would a cigar (Example)?
@@feliciau3368 The corn can be used this way!
