I’m not into Taylor or printed tops but I bought this a few weeks ago (in Australia) the moment I saw it! Surprised it plays better the expected which was a bonus! Awesome design imo.
I wish Taylor would widen the nut and make the neck profile a bit fatter on the Mini rather than coming out with fancy tops. A good-looking guitar, to be sure, but it's just one more variation on a theme.

Thanks for review. I am big GS mini fan and bought a GS mini KOA + a few years ago that is my go to travel/couch guitar. I was intrigued by this guitar when you reviewed but was not sure until I saw in person. The top is absolutely beautiful and grain shows through much more than seen in your video. Sounds great and fortunately, the particular one I found locally is perfect! Plays well brand new. I did have to shave the bridge a bit on my KOA+ GS to get a lower action. This GS mini was perfect out of box. I do think electronics a bit better GS mini KOA+ but I mainly play "unplugged". Really not much difference plugged in unless you are very picky - the KOA+ is a bit better. You have to see this guitar in person. Very unique and 2024 is year of "wood dragon" which is why this guitar is particularly special!
I like that a lot ❤ that said I think there’s likely to be a lot of dubious looking GS Mini’s in the future if they ever give buyers chance to design their own 😂

Taylor also released a Year of the Rabbit version GS Mini last year. What bothers me about those two releases is they are both that same pink color and I wish they would have mixed it up a bit. The Dragon model has been graphics but the Rabbit model still looks good. I'm looking forward to what else they release with printed tops. I would like to see a US flag printed top and suspect they may based on a photo I saw of another Taylor guitar in a recent marketing photo. The Year of the Dragon model GS Mini's is missing the traditional 3-ring Rosette so that is something new, the Year of the Rabbit model has the 3-ring Rosette. Coop's playing sounded great.

I got the last one a major retailer had in May I think. I never had a Taylor before, but saw it online needed it. I didn't want to miss out.

That Dragon top is cool. But, I’d also put my vote in for a Western Themed top on one. That’d likely be a “take my money” moment for me.
Theres an outdoor brand selling a whole range of these. It's a cool idea, priced fairly and I'm looking forward to more options in the future.
A Western theme guitar should have Clint Eastwood’s portrait on it! It would be a guitar with no name !
