The other day I was on a bus in London and me and my friend were sat down and this lady got on with her husband and her husband took the only free seat and left her standing. I would have given her my seat but she wasn't disabled (visibly), elderly, or pregnant. Then someone's dad said very loudly "do you want their seat?" Like it want even my Dad?? And then she replied with "Yes but they clearly aren't going to move."
How rude is that?? So I grabbed my friend and got up and went and stood (despite having a badly hurt ankle that is caused from too much exertion which I get quite regularly) and she sat down. If she'd asked me like a normal person I would've happily given her my seat. I was incredibly annoyed at both the woman and the Dad. Rude people.
That is really rude! Instead of calling you two out, the dad could have easily gotten up and offered his seat :/

This is super weird but I was in the u.s once and I bumped into a table and as a force of habit I said sorry to it and I got so many strange looks

I'm live in New York and stereotypically we are really loud and rude (which a lot of us are ngl) and I'm actually really polite to people if they like step on my shoes I'll say sorry but on the inside I want to scream at them oops

I once walked into a light pole and said, "So sorry sir, excuse me!" As it was an inanimate object it made no reply, but I'm sure it was grateful for someone with manners lol nothing is wrong with being polite, even overly so : )
