I just want to comment on you this time. You have no affiliate with company's which means you gain no money from doing these for us yet you strive for perfection in each and every video you do. You always try to get everything into the review and you do a stunning job at this. Also you always reply to your viewers which shows a huge amount if respect. I'm sure I'm it alone in thanking you for your videos time and again and please keep up the great work. If not for these we wouldnt see the vast range you can now buy so thankyou again.
Thanks Robert, that means a lot that you appreciate the reviews, they do take a long time and I have no affiliation with any company but they do send me things for review sometimes but I just try my best to describe the darts how they feel to me, if they are not good for me I say so but that does not mean they wont suit someone else. Personally I dont think there really is such a thing as a bad dart unless its bent or broken in some way then its always going to suit someones throw but there is obvious issues such as price/value and that is often a contentious topic as again you could argue if the dart is perfect for you then the price does not matter but we have seen a big increases in prices which is not a good thing overall but I will let the viewers make up their own minds on a darts worth, I think my main focus is in just describing the darts as best as possible then hopefully that helps people decide if its worth buying or not :) Having said all that I have seriously being thinking of allowing ads from companies in my videos, I am not sure if its a good or bad idea but buying darts is getting more and more costly so I may have no choice in the future, got a lot of thinking to do :)
@@DartsReviewChannel I'd be happy for that as you say it does take time and also there linked to your videos and not like random insurance ads. I'll watch as always
I actually thought he would stick with these because of how well he consistently stuck the doubles, but I think I saw he changed the next tourney anyhow. Oh well, you gotta throw your game, and I like Peter's throw, so I will say nothing to him ever, haha. Thanks for your great reviews as always 👍
Hey true to your word here's the review you promised. I was just watching one of your reviews and said I was interested in a diamond grip. Maybe the black diamond or snakebite euro 11 element darts and you said to hang on and wait for this before parting with my cash. Glad I did, these look great. You've given me some food for thought. I'm fairly happy with my Aspiras, love em actually. But there's something about the diamond grip, sparkly, I must have been a magpie in another life lol
@@AB-gr3fo Thanks didn't know that, I'll definitely keep my eye out for their new stuff :) Ya the Aspiras became such a favourite of mine I gave all my other sets away at the time I got them. Not only a great looking dart but performs really well for me too. But I'm getting the itch again to buy haha. Something with a diamond grip because I've never had that before.
Yep there it is :) A very nice feel to the grip its just a long dart for me but as AB says I am looking forward to seeing what Winmau brings out, some new type of grip I think as they showed a teaser a while ago, think it was called V tech or something, soon find out as launch starts in 2 minutes :)
yes! maybe dan higginbotham likes them in the soft tip version ;) I just saw the video without sound because i am in the library of the university right now :D
Bought these last week and a really good dart. He actually used the black diamond in the melbourne masters (have checked this by zooming in on TV as I have the black diamond as well). The grip doesn't last long on the black diamond which is probably why they changed it slightly to this grip before releasing. Hopefully these last longer as they're VERY expensive
Yeah its almost identical to the Black Diamond but a bit more grippy, pity if it does not last though as I really like the feel of it but the darts are just a bit long for me :)
Nice dart and very nice looking I just happened to be cruising some us Dart stores I seen a set of those you would have to take a second mortgage out on your house to pay for here in the US so not too bad of a price across the pond good review Darren thanks again
Thanks Andy! Yeah the darts in U.S. are pricey but they are in a lot of other countries too. Having said that some of the UK darts are getting more and more pricey also.
I'm sort of like Wright I'm always changing my set up my current set up is Scot Wattes 23g with intermediate stems and kite flights seams to be working for now. Great review
As always Darren, great review! I have a serious inquiry though, not on these darts, but on the grip specifically. I originally tried this grip (or something very similar) on a set of Bottelsen Shark Skin Darts. Not too big a fan of Bottelsen myself, but I loved the feel. The biggest concern I have for this grip is that I have been hearing a lot of bad things in regards to how long it lasts. With tight grouping, I imagine these will be hitting off of each other a whole lot. Can you give me any insight to the durability and longevity of this type of grip please? Thank you very much and keep up the astounding work!
Thanks! :) I think a lot also depends on factors such as how often the player is playing and how close they are grouping the darts etc Basic fact is all grips wear but they will wear different time frames for each individual. I have heard people say it does not last long and others say it lasted quite well.
They are a nice set of darts, personally i think they trident 180 points are a waste of time..they chip very quickly with me and i need to replace them. Does anyone else have that problem ?...Great review mate as always, look forward to the next one. 👍😊
Cheers! Do you mean the plastic Trident points or the metal ones like what is on these darts? I know the plastic ones do but these are the first time I have had the metal ones so not so good if they chip also.
The metal ones mate. I dont know if it's just me because i do throw my darts quite hard and i normally use slightly longer points, may just be me for the fact of those reasons.
I think they may only be aluminium so thats probably why they chip like you say, I am not sure if I have heard many people giving feedback on them yet though, they may have and I might have missed it.
Interesting grip - Reminds me of the JCVD film, 'Kickboxer', when the fighters dip their gloves into hot glue and glass before they fight... or "Hot Shots!! Part Deux" when Topper Harley coated his gloves with molten chocolate, peanut M&M's and Gummi Bears. But not a shape or coating I'd use. If I did I'd be playing for 167's all match so they didn't clatter into each other.
I've noticed quite a lot of attention on RD's new darts for 2019 in the forum. Was wondering if you have on your list of potential reviews, the RD Firebird or the Seiya Asakura sets, as they've been mentioned quite a bit in a few threads. Thanks for so many great videos. I check my email daily, watching for DRC video uploads. Cheers!
Its a long barrel and I do use the Josh Payne dart that's about just as long as these. Can't deny its beauty though. Peter loves his diamonds. Does RD sell those diamond encrusted points Peter used recently?
it's a "bit" expensive just for testing and rare playing but nothing horrible. I know that as I have recently purchased MvGs 23g that have been similiary expensive. I personaly prefer more thicker and bit heavier as I currently play with 23g RvBs but I think still duable. Perhaps another darts into my growing collection ;-)
Darters who collect dartsets can spend a fortune on Peter Wright alone!!!You would have to buy a set every tournament ,the guy plays,he even goes so far a playing with other pro's darts........love this set though!!

They have just updated the black diamonds today :)
The trident on the barrell-point transition is very nice
It's the Winmau Black Diamonds with a Snakebite-Logo and Set Up. The only difference is the higher price.
Grip is also different
Great review as always, love the look of the darts just wish they came in a soft tip version! Cheers!
Thanks Dan, I think its just the one version for these, 22g steel tip :)
do you know the (black) diamond darts from winmau? they are nearly the same

Hi Curtis, I have got a couple of the new RD sets, Virage and Rogue, will be getting them done fairly soon :)
Does this one got the same sandgrip as the Peter Wright Euro 11 Gold? Seems it got more sand on it?
its the same diamond fusion coating :)
Its a long barrel and I do use the Josh Payne dart that's about just as long as these. Can't deny its beauty though. Peter loves his diamonds. Does RD sell those diamond encrusted points Peter used recently?
Yeah the length is my only problem, but they flew fairly well all the same. I have not seen those points on RD yet.
Whats the ideal length for you? I like 48mm, which is Rob Cross' length of dart.
Yeah 48mm is my preferred length too :)

how to clean this dart pin....

Yes 24 grams would be good
My grams 😍 that's nice looking darts
Good video
Thanks! :)
No problemo
Quite expensive, aren't they?
They are indeed! :)
i think Red Dragons production is better right now than Unicorns
RD have always had decent darts but in last couple of years they have had some really nice ones :)
i can't say the same about Unicorn in last couple of years

LOL thats perfectly true, and the thing with Wrights darts is they can become rare collectors darts as often RD will discontinue them :)
Could u give them away
Not sure what I will be doing with them yet, I might do :)
I don't know if I find these appealing or not. And neither does Peter Wright.
They feel very nice in the fingers but Wright wont ever make his mind up anyway lol :)
Well.... not a fan of Peter Wright but I like the darts.
Darts are very nice just a bit long :)
