This is proper outlaw country. So refreshing to hear instead of the current generic country pop thats out there right now, usually some jock in a cowboy hat singing about "heartbreak" 🙄 This is pure, raw talent. Amazing to hear.

The very first time I ever grabbed my moms hand and dragged her into a store and made her buy me an album, was when I heard Steve Earle's Guitar Town playing on the radio when I was 4. I played that cassette until it couldn't play it's music anymore. 35 years later, I still love it just as much. In that time I've listened to, and made, a lot of music. Except for maybe a couple of songs I've written that are closest to the deepest parts of whats inside of me, no music has meant as much to me as what that first album's ignition roared awake in my soul. Until, that is, I heard Stephen's music. Turns out, his key fits the same. It's not often it happens, but it does, on ocassion. And it's always a magical moment when that happens.
