What If Rabbids go home 2 exists? Once upon a time, Rayman found himself in a strange world filled with crazy Rabbids. They searched far and wide, collecting bits and pieces of metal, glass, and other materials. Finally, after weeks of hard work, they managed to build a spacecraft that was strong enough to withstand the journey back to Earth. They hopped in and blasted off into space once again. When they finally arrived back on Earth, they landed in a field not far from Rayman's house. Rayman was overjoyed to see them again, and he helped them gather the rest of the supplies they needed. Together, Rayman and the Rabbids built a new spacecraft that was bigger and better than the first. They launched into space once again, heading back to the moon, where they would live out their wild adventures for years to come.
Well, fast foward to the 10th of September, and we now have the info that Rayman will be in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope through DLC. Let's hope it's a sign.
The Rayman community won't wait. Since the source codes for the games were leaked, several fan projects launched and are going strong today. I highly suggest checking them out. It's really cool and interesting to see. I'm especially interested in the Rayman M2 and Rayman 2 HD fan-projects.
Rayman was one of the very first video games I played back in maybe '97, and Rayman 3 is still my all time favourite game. I'm so desperate for a true sequel, and the parts of Rayman 4 that have been salvaged from the files of Rabbids are honestly everything I could have wanted from the franchise. I reeally hope that Rayman makes a comeback with a team that's passionate about the source material.

It is a shame that Ubisoft won't make a new Rayman. But, on the bright side. There is a rise of Rayman fan games such as Rayman Redemption and Rayman ReDesigner which were fantastic. Not to mention that Rayman 2 is getting custom levels and there is a fan sequel to Rayman 3 called Scepter Of Leptys. So, while we won't get new games from Ubisoft any time soon. Fans will continue his great legacy.

I completely agree. I think it's time for Rayman to come back and redefine what a 3D Rayman game is. Personally I kind of think that a new 3D Rayman game should take some inspiration from Mario odyssey's exploration.

Unfortunately... their plans are less than good with what they're working on. And fans are sick of mobile games. Would love to see him, hoping every year for any annoucement. Even just a stupid logo teaser would be enought but chance this may happen is like that weird kids show adaptation becoming a masterpiece when released.

Well, sadly, they are more focused of the commercial than creation. This is something very commun these days : Mario party for example. It is such a success that Nintendo decided to put their focus to lay one per year with different mechanics or making a remaster if it as long as they get money. But that doesn't mean that we have to give up (especially because Michel Ancel is retired) and be mad at these company. The marketing is the one to blame. Some of us can change it and bring back this golden age of creativity and experimentation.

You must have missed the CEO's statement regarding Rayman in between all of the "our players are stupid because they don't see that NFTs are great" interviews. They said something like this (from my own words): "Rayman no longer applies to our current mature target audience, so we won't make more games with him." It was either that or something like it but flipped in 180° somehow in a weird way that it would make sense for the CEO but for no one else, because the CEO must not know how Rayman games worked. I played Rayman 3 as a child and had an amazing time. Then I played Rayman 3 again when I was older and still had an amazing time + that time I understood all of the mature undertones. They literally designed these games for young and adult audiences. So no matter what way around, the CEO definitely said that Rayman games don't work for their current 'idiot players' that don't appreciate their shady crypto stuff. At this point I don't even want a Rayman game from Ubisoft, and if its Rayman 4 then I will not see it as canon. Fans are already coming up with better ideas than what that could be in the future. But I doubt that it will happen. At that point we can only hope that Ubisoft keeps losing money (as they are doing quite well currently with them continuously announcing projects that stop development) and then they get what they deserve and hopefully it opens a chance so afterwards we can finally get what we deserve.

i think a 2D side scroller would be much more likely, since they were the best received rayman games (and ubisoft games in general) by a long shot, as well as it being a much cheaper experiment for them
I think it’s important to remember that this drought probably isn’t by design. Rayman has always sold well so there’s no reason for Ubisoft to drop it. My guess is that everybody assumed that Ancel would go right back to Rayman once BGE2 and WILD were finished so they didn’t bother preparing anything rayman related, which would end up being an issue when both games got stuck in development hell and Ancel eventually left. If rayman comes back, it’ll probably be through Ubisoft Milan after M+R:SH or through another studio that picked him up after Ancel left.
saying Ancel left is doing a disservice to what got him to leave, but either way according to ubisoft rayman legends had disappointing sales to them and only sold well in the long run, meaning over the first 5 years, at which point they probably already put the franchise on the back burner.
I wouldn't say that he is gone He is in other Ubisoft games like Brawlhalla and Growopia, he got mobile games as recent as 2019 and he is gonna be in a Rabbids DLC

Its 100% a matter of time until rayman comes to grace our eyes that day. Ubsoft isnt dumb, they just keep making money on freaking assasins creed sales. But i am confident that well see rayman again and that it most likely will be a collecton hd rez up. probably not a remake. I have to play rayman 2 with a graphics emulator that downgrades my graphics just to get the thing to run on my pc. Its way to hard to play the lder games and i think that its a collection well see soon. Rayman was the first game i played and im 25. If the next rayman game comes out when i have a toddler ill still jump for joy like im 5 again. Not nestalgia fueled, rayman is just that enjoyable and capturing.

I don’t want a Legends 2. It was a fantastic game and one of the best platformers ever, but it improved basically nothing over Origins, so this time if they make another 2D Rayman I want it to be a radical different experience. Personally, I think it’s about time we get a new 3D game though. So

Its 100% a matter of time until rayman comes to grace our eyes that day. Ubsoft isnt dumb, they just keep making money on freaking assasins creed sales. But i am confident that well see rayman again and that it most likely will be a collecton hd rez up. probably not a remake. I have to play rayman 2 with a graphics emulator that downgrades my graphics just to get the thing to run on my pc. Its way to hard to play the lder games and i think that its a collection well see soon. Rayman was the first game i played and im 25. If the next rayman game comes out when i have a toddler ill still jump for joy like im 5 again. Not nestalgia fueled, rayman is just that enjoyable and capturing.

They should make another Rayman Trilogy while also making Rayman Legends 2 as well, but also I think a Rayman should also get his own attraction as well like Nintendo World at Universal Studios but also we should definitely get a Rayman Tv show or even a Rayman movie idk about a Rayman movie but a Tv show would definitely be great and you can even do spin-off shows as well.
I don’t want a Legends 2. It was a fantastic game and one of the best platformers ever, but it improved basically nothing over Origins, so this time if they make another 2D Rayman I want it to be a radical different experience.
Personally, I think it’s about time we get a new 3D game though.

You mentioned a chance someone might buy Rayman from Ubisoft. I heard that the makers of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope said if the Rayman DLC sells well enough, they’ll do just that.
