I've always been wondering: What DID happened to Rayman? I Absolutely Love this guy SO much, including his Evil Longtime Archenemy and Worthy Adversary, Mr. Dark.
Rayman 2: The Great Escape is one of my favorite games ever. I know Rayman Origins/Legends were good games in their own right, but I really loved the dark atmosphere of The Great Escape and how it took itself seriously. Now, I’ll just take anything Rayman at this point :(
@thorwilhelms9635 I agree with you as a die hard Rayman fan, who grew up with this franchise since the original Rayman. Origins amd Legends as plattformers work perfectly. But the tone is a bit too silly. There's no plot, no real introduction. And the magician becomes a ordinary teensie, a joke character - a cheap ripoff of Mr Dark. I didn't like that at all. The og trilogy, although it had it's humor, cared about their world building. And the characters. Especially the second game, that introduced so much to the series!
Rayman was the first game I ever played on a PC other than stuff like Solitaire or Minesweeper. I'm not even sure why my Grandma had this game. Except for Sonic 2, most of my games were on N64 or Gameboy at the time, so it was some the most colorful and expressive pixel art I'd ever seen. I rarely made it past the first level, but I never got sick of looking at it. It felt like I was getting to play a Disney movie.
My favourite Rayman game HAS to be Rayman Legends, I had so much fun while playing it for the first time and I have same experiences replaying this game again and again! I'm in this community and I do pretty crazy stuff like a DLC that is currently in the development!

One of the first games i got in my wii was rayman raving rabbids, and though i liked it, especially when the final levels where you have to shoot the rabbids in like a first person shooter, my love to the character came with rayman origins on the wii. I only really played Rayman Legends, so I’m more of a casual fan but i think it’s safe to say Ubisoft is the reason why there’s no new Rayman games… because Ubisoft. Enough said 😂

Ubisoft got greedy and sidelined our boy for an infinite number of Assassin's Creed titles. And the greed robbed them of common sense, given they're asking $130 for a Star Wars game. Star Wars is a dead franchise now!
You do know that only the Ultimate Editions costs 130 right ? And Those Ultimate or Limited or whatever editions always cost over 100. Stop talking Bullshit. The normal Star Wars Outlaws will have the normal price
Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc is my favorite of all time, because he's can shoot his hands to the the enemy like a bullet when he charges he's hand up and released it into the hoodlum faces!Also it's the only game that give Rayman powers from another way🥫 instead rely on the lady fairy 🧚♂️ ! To be honest, those games its proof that Rayman still have more spatial developing on, if Ubisoft can find Glitch production for a help, maybe Rayman still have hope to shine in popular and in the future maybe have hope for making his chronicle
Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends - better than most games made in the last decade. Unreal experience! I have both on the Vita 😊 Have fun trying them out guys.
I don't think we should specifically blame the rabbids themselves for "killing" rayman, more so Ubisoft for preffering to only do stuff with them and put Rayman aside, there is also a good chance that we might be getting a new game soon, Rayman has been gettng quite a bit of merch and cameos in the last year or so, the franchse has had more activity last year than it did in the 2nd half of of the 2010s. It is just a slow process to make it the series bit more relevant again, i am confident that soon, even if it may be a few years down the line still, we will get a full new game, from Ubisoft Milan most likely!

3D platformers went out of style during the 360/PS3 era in favor of more gritty and realistic games. The only notable ones I could think of from that time period were the Mario Galaxy games. Outside of that, his franchise got highjacked by Rabbids and he was sparsely seen since.
2:26 Rayman 2 was my gaming childhood on the Nintendo 64, one of the best 3D adventure games at the time! I played a lot of Rayman 3 on PS2 too, it's a shame that Ubisoft abandoned the franchise 🫤
I have hated rabbids since their inception. I remember being like 10 and having just played hoodlum havoc then going to blockbuster every month waiting for a new Rayman. I saw the Raving Rabbids cover and I was so excited to play a new Rayman game! So I rented it and quickly realized that it was not a Rayman game at all. Their gross little eyes... that was around the time they would play that weird Quizno's commercial with the little mutated hamster things with human eyes and mouths.. "WE LOVE THE SUUUUBS!! COZ THEY ARE GOOOOD TO USSS!!" i get the same feeling when I look at the Rabbids and its Depression.
It is sad that the franchise despite being great is discontinued, even though Rayman did appear on some other franchise’s games as a guest character or DLC. Hope that the franchise comes back in a big and successful way. I remember playing the first Rayman game back when I was young and boy it was awesome and a great nostalgia
Rabbids are annoying as hell, they are like an uglier more irritating version of minions, don’t get their appeal at all. Rayman games are so much fun, it’s so sad, Origins and Legends deserved much more success!
"10:04" Why everyone prefer consoles. What good things you can do with them? The consoles are just to play and anything else. And this is something that I disappoint. I really like if the DLC will have ports for other consoles or at least for PC.
Rayman is such a classic between the PS1, N64, and GBA. And Rayman Origins on Wii and Rayman Legends on Wii U were both amazing titles. It's a shame Ubisoft is a shit company that's starting to become almost as bad as Activision Blizzard in controversy.
I grew up with the n64 version of rayman 2. I just found out there was voice acting on the PlayStation version in recent years by David gasman. But been playing rayman ever since. I hope he comes back even tho Michel ancel is gone 😞

Look at "Rayman Mystery". It's a fan game that is looking really cool!

My favorite is Rayman Raving Rabbids for the GBA. Easily the Rayman 4 in 2D we never got.
