When Biden was elected I kept saying they must have a plan to get someone ready to be the next candidate because obviously he’ll be far too old next time. I thought at first they planned it to be Kamala but you could see they weren’t pushing her forward in that capacity. Then as time was going by I kept thinking how come they aren’t obviously grooming a particular person for candidate? Then they started saying he’s going to be THE candidate for the next election and there won’t be primaries and I was horrified. They are the most incompetent major political party I have ever seen!

From the cheap seats, we just see the Muppets on stage. When you sit closer, you can see the strings. Sit close enough, you can tell the muppeteers how to make the Muppets dance.
The point is the money, now. But the muppeteers forgot they had to be discreet. They only saw the money, they forgot we were following the plot of The Muppets Take DC and not just swept on the flow of donations.

His decline was obvious even during the 2020 primaries. I think it was one reason he was trailing almost all the other candidates until most dropped out and endorsed Biden due to behind-the-scenes maneuvers before the SC primary.
Watch how he performed during the 2016 and 2020 campaign seasons. The differences are very stark in the timbre of his voice, talking speed, how he moved his head around to focus on different people, how quickly he responded in back-and-forth exchanges with other candidates, etc.

Evidently, however ineffective and unreliable Biden was behind closed doors, it suited and benefitted enough people for them to try to keep up the facade for another term. And, to push for it as hard as they did, it clearly suited them and benefitted them enormously.

The DNC never should have pushed Bernie Sanders out; that was the first huge mistake. The Biden administration did some great work; however, the Democrats lost the younger voters because they told them they wanted Bernie and they blew them off like the younger voters blew off Democrats in November...I suspect Gaza wouldn't have become a pile of rubble and all those Palestinians wouldn't have died in such enormous numbers... Bernie would have cut military aid to Israel...

I think you overestimate the sincerity of Bernie. During the presidential campaign he never talked about populist issues, never raised concerns about Dems wrapping themselves around the Cheneys etc. After the election- all of a sudden he's raising all sorts of issues that he thinks Dems are not addressing. Bernie and AOC are just tools deployed whenever the establishment Dems want to tamp down leftwing anger.

Plus our US rich donors have always loved weak presidents. Look at the atrocious ones we had during the Gilded Age. Wilson’s wife ran the country for a few years while he was in bed recovering from a stroke.
The Dems are not a serious party. They are a fundraising/job placement group for liberal political operatives. We aren’t organized enough for a third party yet but we have to coordinate resources/volunteers across parties to support left worker focused small donor candidates at all levels of government. And we need to coordinate more internationally with other worker parties. John McDonnell has done some of this and more folks need to know about it.
