- FINALLY!!! after 2 weeks i am finally able to show you guys the final product. This facade came out awesome i am very happy with it, and it sure is not worth spending 400 dollars or more on this thing!! but it surely did take lots of time to make. Building it second time would be much easier though, but thats how it always is. when you do things for the first time you never know what will happen or how thing will work out!
Check it out guys, let me know what you think. And BTW I might start selling these, i am not yet sure. But if i get enough interest I might do it. And i promise you itd be the cheapest facade on the market, yet just as good. I got rid off all the gaps vs other facades. And my facade is only 3ft tall so its perfect for djs with a coffin. Unfortunetly a dj with a big tall rack will need a 4ft facade.
anyways let me know what you guys think!!
any comments or questions/concerns let me know!
More videos on this coming up soon as I will be exchanging the lights as i am not as happy as i could be with the colorstrip minis! - เพลง
Clean Job!! Awesome Façade!
Effing brilliant. The simplicity only adds to the elegance. Now I have to make one for myself.
okay first of all your right the semi gloss is much cooler looks like metal great paint job, and awesome job over all what a great mind you have! and your too cute asking if we are enjoying the video your quite the charmer very nice! keep up the great show!
Nice job, mate. End result looks neat.
One idea though is to use white translucent acrylic plastic rather than fabric in the middle of the panels. The plastic may be a bit stronger when some of the drunks at the gigs start bumping into it. It may also be a bit easier to fit - just cut the plastic to size and either glue or screw on.
Just an idea.
Cheers,
Barry from Australia
to make this video perfect all you need is the track list great video man!!!
They look really brilliant!! You did a great job..and you're right about the semi gloss paint. Rckon you'd do well if you start selling these..very professional looking. Looks amazing with the lights going.
Rob.
CONGRATULATIONS, IT HAS BEEN VERY LEGAL, PERFECT FINISH AND VERY PRACTICAL ASSEMBLY.
Polska, great work Bro! Best facade I've seen yet! You've inspired me to do this on my own. Thanks for posting the vid! DJ's, this is a TH-cam vid…not a live set. Give him a break. Great video for a facade. And yes, many of us felt it's not necessary…I know I've felt that way, but everything we add in this industry is just more production value.
Brilliant idea Polska! Looks awesome!! I'm trying to get my DJ friends better and look more professional and have been looking around for DJ booth ideas. This is definitely one of the top DIY DJ booth ideas I've seen! I really appreciate the video!
this is exactly what i have been imagining! i want something that i can make bigger with an extra insert! thank you!
Thanks :D going to give building one a shot and see how it goes. Looks brilliant!
That's probably one of the coolest ones I've ever seen. I'm here for the project, not to whine and moan about the mixing.
synapticflow same here everyone is whining about the mix when it’s all about the work he did which looks good but I can’t find the first video 🤔
Best DIY job I've seen! Great job & good idea not to make joints...definetly will be stronger. I will be using your ideas to build my own...Once again Great Job!
THATS THE BEST ONE I'VE SEEN
I was thinking how to do it, you gave me a great idea. thanks for sharing.
heeey nice job , i am fron mexico ,just starting with my lights and sound .good work .
good carpentry skills! I built mine a couple of years ago now and your video helped me along the way :)
Being one who builds these myself, I commend you and your dad on the great work... I know it's not easy to do. Using one piece of wood is a great idea too, but a lot more costly (I bet you already discovered that). I prefer the semi-gloss, BTW.
You should be proud of the nice work!
that mix is brutal
Great job on the facade. Looks fantastic.
Very Well made !!! good job !!
very clean, nice job, well done !
Well done....I really like that.
Omg very Nice Job ! Congrats
Awesome job
looks like i have something new to make during summer ;)
This seems very involved, but the end result looks well worth the effort.
very cool....well done
Thanks a lot eventually someone made some smart staff, u are a genius we love you here.....
Very nice love the mixing
Great job.
congratulation , great job
Yes you can do it with LED stripes me and my roommate build custom DMX LED Light Panels all the time you just need a simple DMX decoder module.
very nice video !!! thanks for share you skills
Hey man awesome panel literally! can u please tell me what type of wood was used for the panels please.
i don't have enough time to do this on my own but ill go to my local carpenter to get it done but i need to tell him what and how so if u can tell me what type of wood and what paint it would be greatly appreciated.
thx in advance
This is just what I am looking for thanks dude! can I be a pain in the ass and ask you to list the size of fabric used and what kind of fabric? Thanks so much for this vid.
i'm glad someone else heard it lol! Great Facade though!
Maad mi don...u changing the game mi yute..
Looks good. Well Done!!!
excellent job on the facade. Do you normally put a sheet over your lights that you use to uplight the facade? I use Chauvet power strips, and I put a piece of wax paper over them to even out the wash and it works great.
great work bro. wat kind of lights n hinges are those?
love it and love the mixing. Awesome job1
Great job man.
simple. makes your setup look much better, match the theme etc. my facade is very short doesnt hide me from my cell phone. 36inches tall......
Well man great video.. one of the best i've seen on youtube. looking at building my own. only problem is that i'm finding it hard to source the fabric. Any ideas where i can buy it on the web.
Great video again
Cheers bud
Dj Seanie-D
thanks! wish i could sell them, the demand is so great. its much appreciated.
i like it,gonna try to make one.....
nice job!
nice work man!
BEACUSE ITS AWSOME!
looks good! I may be making something like this! How much was it?
What kind of lights are u using ?
link to the prodict if u have one?
Nice facade!
hey great idea where did you get does frames?
hi its a great idea................ very nice, one question, whats the names songs of all video.....? thanks
@TyroneBlue thank you tyrone! Yes i have seen youre videos before. Great stuff!
Well I gotta say that its not more expensive because my dad did it at work for free so all i had to pay for was paint fabric and hinges. But yes it would be more costly to do at home because the middle piece that comes out from the cut out frame is scrap and non reusable.
Ive been getting lots of great comments; on couple of the forums and people saying it looks much neater and cleaner then dragon means alot! thx
wow good job bro
this did make me laugh, for years i got slated for using light screens then this guy comes along and makes exactly that lol
Excellent work!!
yup have noticed and been notified by many ppl about that lol. not a biggie mix is just a plus to the video
Real nice workmanship there bro. Very professional finish, really impressed.
Your djing however needs A LOT of work. I don't think you understand the basics of what works at all. You clearly did your research and put a lot of thought and care in to the facade, you really need to focus the same amount of attention on your music if you're gonna call yourself a dj. Please don't take this as an insult, this is the advice of a professional dj. Good luck for the future
THIS PERFECT SUUUUPERRRRR # 1 100X100 GOOD,NICE,!!!
Dude, AWESOME JOB! WOW! I'm seriously impressed! I thought it would be easier to make one at home because I was thinking of doing it myself, but it's not as easy as it looks... Anyway, would you have the effort of making one just to sell it? If so, how much? I mean, if you don't charge as much as retail price I would totally buy it !!!
I dig the music too.
I would definitely interested in buying one of these... Let me know DJ!! Thanks
the fabric is a lycra stretch material available at most fabric stores. you buy enough to cover your facade and cut to size thats all!
It's beautiful. Where find the project? Pretty work!
I may make a computer desk like this and build it with removable Cathodes with reflectors
I like it good job
Clean!!!
good job man, i also build my own facade. just want to know where did u buy your hinges? the one in the middle..
Hey Polska, Where did you get the hinges? Local store or online? And what do you use to transport the facade? Im in the process of finishing up mine, used your ideas. Thought you had the cleanest and most practical facade. Nice job! Its definitely taking longer than expected to finish, but as well, I went thru trial and error. How can I hit you up? I tried emailing you from your website but I didnt get a response. I live in your area, maybe you can point me in the right direction. Let me know.
good job
What lights did you use behind it i know they are led but what make they look really effective
Nice Booth! im so into making my own!
and your mix is off and poping my dude! whats the name of the song @ 8:14??
love it!
hey there bro very nice work ! can u message me the name of all the parts u use please all appreciated please!
Great build. After you installed the black stick I could not see them anymore. How did you cover them?
Nice job :)
Where did you get those trim strips for the lycra on the inside of the facade? Looks pretty neat
Hey Krystian, do you know how your dad made those grooves in the wood and how he made it out of one piece?
what did you put over the lights and why? Didn't know if a different effect would happen with something on them
@djfrankis not sure exactly haha but the panels we made for free at my dads work so that cut the cost down. i think overall like $50-75 with paint and fabric
Have you decided to sell these facade's? I am interested. thank you.
Great job buddy! Yes, you saved yourself 400dls! Has the facade held up? Dope mixing!
This is MDF, i confirmed with him few days ago. We are building the glow towers for movings heads as we speak which will be done this month and a whole video coming on that then. The sticks are wood tho, and they are made in the shop yes.
Looks fucking awsome realy inspired me to make one for my setup, realy original and definatley deaviates from the boring black cloth wiked lights BTW.
-mike
I'm looking to build one of these for a 6ft table, what dimensions did you use for each panel? Width 22 inches, Height 40 inches?
what that sound name at 7:40 thats a nice work you done
How did you get the sticks in the wood to hold the lycra??? Were the slots previously made or did you make them
Did you shoot this on old film?
;)
what type of wood is the that with the groove? and do it come with the stick.
Where is the part 1 video? I am trying to figure out how you made the slit in the wood.
@VMEntertainmentIre thanks i did sell 2 of them and people well very happy. only if i could manufacture the panels all the time i could've started a small business because people ask for one on daily basis! but sorry i am not selling them any longer
hello super your work !!!
Can you give me the width of the timber used "to make your coaching?
Thank you
Muito bom ! Maravilha !
Saudações do Brasil.
just use a Light that has LEd and put it under it will change colors to beat of music
What kind of wood did you use and where did you get it? Also where does it say how and where the corner hinges can be found and installed? The ones you said look better then dragon boards
Końce internetów w Polsce znalazłem xD
Ale fajne ;)
Pomysłowe :D
that's pretty dope. a DJ and carpenter! QUESTION: How much did you spend for the materials?
I need one. How much will cost to make one thru you?
