    Braver man than I fishing on a flat in that wind, I'd be looking for a cliff base or a cove, and probably not even going out then. Cold I can handle but wind like that is just too much for me unless I have a good sheltered spot

    • @gsp
      @gsp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do have to agree but I have no where local to fish that is sheltered in a northerly. Once the lockdown is eased things will open up for me

      Both shimanos one was 14000 xtc with the quick drag system and the other (smaller reel) shimano ultegra 5500 xtc with quick drag. I use penns for spinning and big game fishing abroad but for general UK stuff the shimanos are great and I think alot better than surfblasters etc

    Nice one mate. Really want to give this mark a go it’s less then 10 mins from my flat. Just very dubious about getting cut off by the tide.

    • @gsp
      @gsp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not a mark where you can really get cut off. The whole spit you're on is level so once the water gets up toward the top you can just walk back but by that point you've over fished by an hr. You're safe 2hrs before until 2hrs after low

    • @gsp
      @gsp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's ok, I've been called alot worse🤣head to sittingbourne and head out towards Faversham. Just outside of Sittingbourne is on the only Rd to Faversham is a road to a village called Tonge. Follow this road through Tonge all the way to the end and at the end it turns 90degrees right down a byeway. You can drive down the byway to the end but it is very uneven and puddles are over a foot deep if it rains so you can just park up and walk but it's probably a kilometre. The mark is directly over the wall at the end👍

      @@gsp Interesting. I know from reading the history around that area that there was a ferry which ran across. I believe it was twinned with the Harty Ferry further down. It looked to me like some kind of pully system. Think one of the wrecks there could be one of the old ferries but i stand to be corrected.

    Not the middle section of the swale!

    • @gsp
      @gsp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wait a minute! 🤦‍♂️😂 The middle section of the swale has been fishing really well recently at low compared to other local marks to me. I think the moral of the story should be don't bloody fish in a snow storm! 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

    • @jasonjoyce4487
      @jasonjoyce4487 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      GSPseafishing well, fortune favours the brave.. for anyone bold or silly enough, from shellness walk back towards Harty Ferry along the sea wall, then out over the saltings, over the mudflats to the low tide mark around the sand end bouy and fish there instead. Easy cast into the deep gulley but it’s mucky work. Cracking spot for flounders, hounds and skate if fished the right times.
