Thermal Spraying - Part 2 - HVOF - a working horse of the technology

Today I had a chance to get an interview with Peter Ambuehl - a person who became part of Oerlikon Metco DNA and who has agreed to give me an overview of the Thermal Spraying (TS) processes.
In the second part of our interview, we discuss high-velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) technology and try to understand what type of HVOF is better for customers and why.
Peter, one of the dinosaurs of TS technology, as he calls himself, is already over 30 years working for Metco. Nowadays, he gives high-class training for customers of Oerlikon. You can learn more about his work at his LinkedIn channel:

I started with a leased browning hvof gun, then leaner guns based on this technology, then jet coat , Diamond jet,, JP 5000 , JP 8000

Which coating can deposit 1.5mm thick Ni-Cr-B having hardness 60-62HRc.
