Yeah the sad thing is the creator actually put a lot of effort into making that, like thats a raspberry pi with some custom work done to it, so its not cheap and he probably had to to some soldering for the controls.
But it's a THICC game. This meme has been dead and buried and people keep digging it up. Its like Grand Dad. You have to know when to kill a joke, or else you just turn into Jimmy Kimmel.

If SAW had a death situation with a plug & play console that slowly cuts deeper and deeper into the skin of the player while torturing him by forcing him to play the games on it, until it reveals a key on the inside when the joystick is already though half of his hand and not possible to seperate without surgery anymore, it would be exactly like this video.

I was super excited. I was like "Oh shit, a *custom* plug and play!?". It looked really cheap and goofy and I was excited. "What kind of crazy technical bullshit did they do?"
Then, I saw the Raspberry Pi startup. My confidence dropped a little, but I was still somewhat hopeful that there would be something interesting.
Then the intro FMV happened.
And then I saw it was just EmulationStation.
And then Plug and Plague was sadly no more.
This was an absolute dumpster fire. I don't know if I love it or hate it

A Raspberry Pi costs $35.
You need an SD card, which for something like this let's say is $10.
That case 3D printed cost maybe $25, conservatively.
The joystick and buttons were probably $25 or so total, again conservative estimate.

So this is a Raspberry Pi running RetroArch that's the easy part. What I don't get is where did the person who put this plug'n'play together get all the roms? Viny always made it a point he wouldn't release them.
My guess is that either it's the original creator of he thicc, or recreated the sprites based on screenshots and called a day.

This took 8 months to make according to what Vinny said in the video, so I'm betting it has all been recreated from scratch. If it was just reskins it wouldn't take that long.

I mean, to be fair, in the defense of egglikes, some of them, at least before the really bad ones started rolling in, some of them(Le Fantabulous Game, Crypt Worlds.) had two things that this abominable contraption does not: Effort and actual good content put into them, even with the shittier ones, you can tell that somebody TRIED, something that the maker of this did not.
I mean, I’m not sure if shipping a raspberry pi inside a custom made box with custom parts, a custom ui and some custom rom hacks (the thicc games aren’t public, so he probably had to convince the authors or recreate them himself) doesn’t qualify as effort. And even then, if you don’t count that as effort, the author probably spent at least 100 dollars buying, putting everything together and sending it to Vinny. I don’t get why people take video games so seriously, he’s just playing a goddamn meme game, he is not “suffering” or “in pain”.
You act like someone sent him hentai in a console and forced him to play it literally on stream and if he didn't want to, they would degrade him for it or some shit. It's nothing but a dead meme in a plug and play, you took this way too serious, lmao.

After the 6th (?) stream I have NO sympathy left, Vinny brought this on himself, I wouldn't be surprised if he was making them.
