Great video. I went a year ago tomorrow. We had similar restrictions in place too. No crouching etc. I spent ages picking out sand out of some Velcro. The boat I was on, it was its first time landing on South Georgia island which meant we had inspectors on board. They literally checked inside back packs, Velcro, boots etc.
I had such high expectations for this trip. I had been delayed twice due to COVID restrictions. I totally agree though that it still massively exceeded expectations.
Really enjoyed your excitement in this video.

Gorgeousness🙌 Beautiful work all around - I only wish I was watching it on an IMAX so I could see it even bigger than my living room tv 😎 Cheers
BTW what do they recommend for sea sickness?

It’s incredible how clumsy they are on land vs the skills they have at swimming like torpedoes 🐧. What a beautiful place

I think this is the best vlog I’ve ever seen. We are off to Antartica, South Georgia and Argentina March 2025. Looking forward to part 2.

Amazing!!! So jealous. As a Mariner and someone who is constantly on the water (240-270 days per year avg. in Alaska), you'll get your " Sea Legs" soon. Just need to keep taking trips like this one!

Hi Nate. Your videos are not as frequent as one would like, but they are always worth the wait.

Thank you so much. I agree that they should be more frequent, that's the eventual goal! Right now life is full of other projects, but my 2024 goal is to make these much more frequent!

Just discovered you and am hooked!!! I'm heading to Antartica (Snow Hill Island) November of 2025. Any tips for getting some decent shots of emperor penguins in the snow??? I'm a hobbiest photographer. Thanks again for your great content.

Man, gotta hand it to you for first time being on a live aboard cross the drake passage...I've traveled many seas/oceans and the thought of attempting the 1-2 day crossing makes me anxious. you should watch a PBS series that was done about Earnest Shackleton.
