Thank you for the overview.. would have like to seen the IRMAA brackets to compare to income brackets. Once you have been retired 2 yrs.. its pretty safe to assume one
can't appeal IRMAA based on future (smaller) income. RMD conversions between 65 (or retirement) and age 73 is the most daunting calculation with the variables of life
expectancy , future tax brackets, time one will be single after a spouse dies, and brackets of heirs ira money (over 10 yrs) will go to..

Initially, it’s enough to make my head spin. But the more I watch, the clearer it’s becoming.

Such good info as always! I have to call you to figure out if Roth conversions or withdrawals from IRA makes sense!

Very helpful overview. As we approach 2026 and income tax rate reversion. Consider creating a video for a multi-year IRA withdrawal strategy. For example $1M (or larger) portfolio to be converted to Roth over the coming four (or plus) years. The out year tax rates might prove to be an eye opener for some viewers. 2026 will be here before we know it. :)

You forgot the NII tax, especially when considering roth conversions that put you over the NII limit..

Why the government, insurance and healthcare companies cannot leave the retiree alone? We have worked for 40 years and paid taxes to federal, state government, social security, Medicare, medical and yet still they come after us. My head is spinning watching this video.

You get a SS check from the Gov and Healthcare from Medicare. In IL pension, SS, and IRA withdrawals are not taxed.

??? Tax brackets are not different for retirees...these dont seem correct for 2024???
Ex. LTCG for singles is 15% up to 518,900 income...not $291,850. There is an additional 3.8%, but its not 20%...
