I have this video to thank for my collection. I started back in 2013 after i saw this video. Thank you so much bob! Youre a real original and a massive inspiration. Im 20 years old, so when i saw this at age 13 i was blown away. I had to start a library of my own. Thanks for sparking that inspiration in me. It has brought me great joy and led me down a great path with games
The set up of your consoles is incredible. So simple to switch which console you would like to play, but the true magic is how you have hidden all of those wires.
Your collection is EASILY one of my absolute favorites on TH-cam. The room itself is so perfectly organized and it's just.....Perfect. I can't even describe to you how much I envy your collection! Mine seems minuscule compared to yours!
Hopefully by the end of this month, I'll be attempting a redo of my gaming setup, trying to hook up 20 consoles across 2 TVs in one central area. This was the video that inspired crazy idea and I'll always come back to it every once in a while to pay my respects. Thanks for the memories Bob!
i'm sorry to hear that. did just the power supply burn up or was there damage to the system itself? to prevent that, some people use voltage converters. the power supply for the model one sega genesis/mega drive tends to be very universal. i have a few of my japanese systems running off of those and don't have to worry about variations in current at all. would a north american turbo grafx 16 power supply work with it (connection and output)?
i do have the wires tied up neatly behind the horizontal and vertical posts but there's a spectacular mess of extension cords, wires, and plugs behind the pull-out drawers. :)
hey man, you're my hero!!!! I'm a nintendo collector too, but no even close to your collection. I just have snes, N64, GC, Wii, GB, GB Color, GB Advance, ds and some games for every one. Mid april i'm gonna purchase the 3ds xl fire emblem bundle and later this year the wii u, which is pretty expensive right now. You're awesome, keep it that way!!!
I thought I glimpsed Crystalis in your shelf? Crystalis is the best game that no one has ever played. That's an amazing set up you got going on over the yauy!
yeah, it was available for purchase only for a limited time (probably until they pulled the port) through the nintendo store on nintendo's website. it was easily available in retail stores in japan, however. i bought a japanese one on ebay.
I don't know if they did it for the purple one or not, but at least for the silver Gamecube, when they took the component port out, they changed the color of this panel to black to match the handle. Mine was a bundle that came with the full game of Metroid prime and had a second disc for a demo of the second game. Also, you say you collect Nintendo games, but do you have Perfect Dark for Game Boy Color? I ask because it was one of the rumble cartridges for GBC and would stick out from the rest.
love your collection! it's beyond awesome! but you really should get some space to place a CRTTV for your non-HD consoles. personally, i think that's the best way to enjoy the picture quality of those babes. i don't have room for a CRT either, but i'm planning to get one really soon. even the Wii looks better in a CRT with components than LCD/LED with components... true story! anyway, keep it up! you've got a new suscriber :P
Power supply is still good and the fuse inside the system is good also. Doesn't look like anything is damaged inside.Played it for 2 months, had it unplugged for a month then plugged it back in and no dice. I may have to spring for a step down converter, the NTSC-J sytems cost way to much to replace. I have a dead Sharp Twin Famicom also (drive belt). They are expensive bookends now.
yes, the famicom is really just for show. when i want to play famicom games, i use the famicom av with nes controllers or my famicom controller that i modded with a nes cable and plug
Now I know why my power went out yesterday, you were using it all. Very nice set up, this is sort of what I want to do with mine eventually. Do you know a cheap way to safely power up NTSC-J systems here in North America? I just lost a PC Engine Turbo Duo-R to what I think was the difference in power. Not a cheap system to replace.
I see you got more RF consoles hooked up at the same time.. But how is it possible to be hooked up and switch from them without taking them apart from the TV?
not saying i don't. :) just that the game probably wouldn't have been very popular in the us because of differences in popular music. any suggestions for me in addition to arashi?
Very nice setup, I'm quite envious! Question--where did you get the bins that hold the GB and GBA games (as seen at 22:07)? They fit the game cases perfectly, and that'd really help out my own storage! Are those IKEA shelves? Their depth fits DVD-size cases quite well... the one I have is far too deep.
I'm not sure if Yauy does this, but you can daisy chain the RF cables. Usually RF boxes have an input that you can use for another RF box. The picture quality is greatly reduced the more cables the signal has to run through, unfortunately.
I find it interesting how Japanese video games always feature Japanese as well as English text and voices, while obviously in America games are English only.
from europe i do have freshly picked tingle's rosy rupee land for the ds but other than that, you're right, i don't have much pal stuff. it's mainly because the hardware is nearly identical in name and design to the the us hardware. also, the pal systems will not work on us ntsc televisions while japanese systems will (you just have to be careful with the power supplies).

Wow! That's a lot! I hope it turns out just as you want!
Your videos are always such a pleasure to watch. Your collection is an inspiration.
This is so awesome. The best part is I know you don't live too far away from me!

they're in plastic bins in my office closet. i think there are some shots of them at the end of the 2009 collection video.
Your collection is amazing, but it's not about quantity, it's because the organization and display, all looks neat. It's all about the display
Very tech heavy for the first half but it was all very interesting. Thanks for sharing your great room

Fantastic video, very jealous of your NSMB2 and 3DS XL pickup.
Wow man!! Your collection is so nice!

yes, directly to the coaxial input (not one of the av selectors)
That's an amazing collection

love your stuff bro
Hey Yauy, Can you please make an update video on how you set up your Wii U on the world of Nintendo and all? Thanks!
I find it interesting how Japanese video games always feature Japanese as well as English text and voices, while obviously in America games are English only.
Hey have u ever tried the 10 easter eggs on the gamecube it doesn't need any mods at all
I can't wait it get my Wii U at launch. I got 3 Wii games for my collection. The Last Story, Xenoblade, and Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword.
Man I love the start of the GameCube with the sound it makes I don't like it too much on the Wii console
yauy, what are your thoughts and opinions on Nintendo Power discontinuing the production of their magazine?
from europe i do have freshly picked tingle's rosy rupee land for the ds but other than that, you're right, i don't have much pal stuff. it's mainly because the hardware is nearly identical in name and design to the the us hardware. also, the pal systems will not work on us ntsc televisions while japanese systems will (you just have to be careful with the power supplies).
good looking dog :D
yauy... your game room and videos never fail to wow me more and more. did you label all of the switch boxes yourself? (oot ❤)
i'll be doing a video for that in the near future
I don't remember if I asked this so I apologise if I did, but how many inches is that Samsung HDTV you have? Just curious.
The one of 2011 is awesome to!
GAMECUBE FTW!!! :D
Nice video and I like that Japanese Spice Orange GameCube :D
I'm curious, why get the Japanese version of a console if the American version is the same?
yauy, What kind of switch boxes do you use to switch between your consoles
your dog looks cool
how many memory cards do you have for both your gamecubes?
was it really necessary to show us everytime you clicked a button on the switch box?

1:49 and 1:54 Made me press the like button. :)

its was one of the dk ones that use the bongos, dont know the name though
Shouldn't Ocarina of Time be sayin "No controller" since you do not have one plugged in? :)
why do you have a second wii?
world of nintendo collection 2013
please
hey yauy is earthbound rare?
It could be a Wii Family Edition, which only rests horizontally and lacks GameCube support.
Because the Famicom was 60-pin out as opposed to the 72-pin out of the NES, The Gamecube was region-locked, and the Super Famicom was sexier :)
Why you dont have Europe stuff? o:
thank you :)
Can a bird fly ?
get ready for 2013
Nice again! Not much has changed, seems u're more selective of your collection, unlike me... just a mass of stuff! lol... good ivid
do you really need to have a bs-x?i know you are a collector but still why?
