I actually went to New York to see Clay Aiken in Spamalot andI really enjoyed it. I took my 7 year old grandson and daughter with me and it was so good even my grandson enjoyed it. Clay was a natural. Gotta love Clay
I will always regret not seeing this production when it came through Portland. I was broke as can be at the time, but I should have borrowed the money and at least gotten nosebleed seats. F***!
I saw the original Broadway cast and the more recent Broadway cast. While David Hyde Pierce and the rest of the original cast were best, Clay Aiken did a good job here. The more recent cast seemed to be miscast as they lacked comedic timing.
The audience can at least be explained by them getting the sound directly from the stage mics. For obvious reasons, they don’t really pick up the audience.
This was Broadway and the audience was THAT dead?! Geez! He did a great job
It's a soundfeed so audience isn't really in the mix
David Hyde Pierce's performance may have been better, but I'm not gonna sit here and pretend I don't want more of Clay Aiken on Broadway.
I love how they added in the Fiddler On the Roof Dance at about 2:50

Clay Aiken as Sir Robin? Now that's good casting.
Excellent rendition! Love Clay Aiken!
Very good number!!
I love him!!!!!!!! I got cast as the Lovely Sir Robin. We have very similar hair
If you are anywhere near Stratford Ontario (Canada) come see this musical ( extended run until Novermber 18) . They really do a good job with it.

Cute decision for the piano bit. It's gotta be hard to follow in the footsteps of David Hyde Pierce.
David Hyde Pierce was the original and best. So funny!
Clay Aiken does the part proud. Saw DHP on Broadway. He was terrific. Aiken Carrie’s on the tradition nicely.
Either the audience had seen it before or didn’t get it as they hardly reacted
Or since it was a sound feed from stage mics the audience wasn’t in the mix,,,

0:48 OH DREIDEL DREIDEL DREIDEL I MADE IT OUT OF CLAY AND WHEN IT’S DRY AND READY WITH DREIDEL I SHALL PLAY

No one can beat David Hyde Pierce as far as I’m concerned.
Clay seems less enthusiastic - as do other cast members in this production.
even the audience seems weak ): it's really sad
