Excellent! I might make one of these. Would be very helpful, as I get more and more hives. Thanks again.

I'm excited to use it throughout this year and especially during the harvest because I use bee escapes and to be able to lift the honey supers up and place the bee escape between the brood boxes and honey supers will be much easier not to say pulling the suppers, putting them on the trailer, and delivering them to the honey house. This last year the honey harvest was hard on the back without the lift. Also I can weigh the supers as I take them off and have a good idea how much I will wind up with. Thank you for your comments and good luck on your build!

Hi I built a hive lift following your design I kinda changed the base set up only because of other designs I have seen on TH-cam also the simplicity of building,
Otherwise thank you for your TH-cam build design I based my project on your guide lines and I will try sending pics of my finnished results ty from New Zealand
    😅

Sonny, it’s nice to hear from you and yes the build of the hive lift isn’t complicated at all. I’d love to see your pictures when you have them.

Ha, definitely not you must be talking of Mike Berry! I plan on a 4.0 that I think will be a little bit better design and I will be making blogs on the build. Good luck on your build.

Thanks Mike it's going slow but I'm in no hurry. I'm actually in the process of building hive lift 4.0 and building jigs to speed up the build. Who knows maybe I'll get one out for you to try.

Great design! The best one I have seen. I do not do welding, so I wonder if you would consider making the frame for sale. I can buy the winch and battery locally to add to it. Thank you for sharing.

I'm going to look into doing some production and see what that will take. Once I figure out if I can do this and maintain the hives I have I will be able to see if I would want to market them. Thank you for your comments!

Good video I made a comment on the previous video. How many inches up from the bottom is the lower cross bar, and how many inches up from the bottom is the upper cross bar for the wheel
    carriage ?
I'm going to make one of these hive lifters. You are good inspiration ,job well done and also do you need a special lithium battery charger

Thank you for the comment, from the bottom of the frame it is 2" to the center of the lower arm and 20" center to the upper arm for the wheels. I would like to see your lift when you finish up.

Good job man, it has been 9 months since you posted this video so, my question is do you have any build to sale yet I would like to buy one and try it I have 80 hives and that would be a back saver please let me know something. thank you.

Hey Benjamin, we have become snowbirds and are in Florida until the end of March. I don’t have the equipment here to build the next generation hive lift but hopefully will be able to do it when we are back. I’m not sure where you’re located but we are in northern Colorado. I think this hive lift would help save your back. I’m hoping to do a blog with a step by step and materials to build it. Happy bee keeping!
