Yes, the right tempo, on the same level of the 1986 recording with Pinchas Zukerman and Midori. There is a version on a recent Brilliant Classics release where the performance sounds like a grinding (string grinding) race. Not enjoyable at all. My local library does have music scores in their collection; l'Estro Armonico is in the collection.
Does " the right tempo" mean the tempo used in the era of romanticism in the 19th century ? Vivaldi, a baroque composer, lived and created in the first part of the 18th century. At this time, the feelings were different, the tempo too.
Not a really fast tempo like it's a horse race. The Brilliant Classics recording that I mentioned, the group performing sounds like most of the time they're just literally grinding the strings more than anything
Boris c'è l'ha da sempre nel sangue questo concerto...grazie
perfect tempo! most on youtube are waaaay too fast. so enjoyable like this!
Gorgeous! Beautifully executed with the right tempo for this piece. Too many attack the song in a crazed rush…this was just right.
Brzmienie fantastyczne!
Krystaliczna przejrzystość.

Meh. I like the super fast version. This has a different emotion, I like it too. It’s not a competition. 2 flavours can both be good
