Great content Tim! Last night I was watching you entertain Dan and Lea in Vancouver, and today you're supporting the black owned iconic restaurants in Harlem. Thanks for coming out to the East Coast and choosing to go to a place where you won't see many TH-camrs!! God Bless!
Oh, there was so much food on both occasions. Really enjoyed Harlem especially meeting all of the great people there. What's not captured in the videos where the conversations with the people there like Curtis and others. Genuinely great people, very welcoming and inviting. The one thing I did regret was not mentioning or focusing on the rich historic events there.
Hi Tim so nice to see you that you are in Support of All People. I Am An african American and just started watching your Channel today. Needless to say you have made quite the Impression on me. Because you seem to be unbiased, I will most definitely watch your Channel Again. Enjoy❣
Love your honesty. Jacobs is one of my favorites especially on Sunday. They have live music and its just so comfortable. The food is delicious like at your grandmas house. Thanks Tim❤
You are very pleasant to watch the way you talk and eat. And how you interact with people. Appreciate the description you make on the food and how you take your time like we also got to experience it.
Everything looked so good! The food at Jacob's made me feel at home! Made me think of big family dinners, delicious homemade food and desserts!!!! But I'm still not eating anything banana! Thanks Tim! Another enjoyable experience!
I think you hit the nail on the head. It feels like one of those large family dinners where there's a variety of homemade dishes to choose from.. good on you on the banana dishes 😉
Jacobs is my joint. The food is always delicious, fresh and feels more homely and love the live entertainment. The place can get very cramped tho especially on the weekends.
Oh Tim, So Very Happy to see that you are visiting my old stomping ground. So many delicious restaurants to try!! .. Please do stop by Sylvia's when you can. .. So much mouth watering food to satisfy your tastebuds!! .. Tim, I so love watching you eat and enjoying every morsel!! 🥰 God Bless You!! ❤
Hi tim great video 2 nice restaurants that you went to the food looked really good especially the macaroni and cheese!! I hope you're enjoying yourself in Harlem it's a lot of history there. Thanks for sharing be safe tim
Hey Tim Thanks for explaining what the food tastes like. There's many countries that doesn't know what some dishes tastes like. Thanks for relaxing a little bit more. Love your videos. Keep it up🥰
We're late to this foodie episode but those first Short Ribs look so delicious melt in your mouth:) Nice cold clear day to explore locals. And you can't miss with chicken and waffles. Sending Best Wishes and Blessings, James and Kim ❤️
Oh my God Tim I was watching and eating along with you. Everything looks so delicious 😋. I love the concept of all you can eat by the weight because people waste so much at a buffet.
I just love when employees in places of business are happy to see customers and don't look at you like " I know you passed 3 other places but you still came here."
Good stuff Tim my lad! While you're in New York, definitely check out Astoria, there are some incredible places to eat there! Queens in itself has some awesome restaurants and there is so much variety!
Thank you so much.. even though they charged by the pound, I still think it's a great deal. Have you seen the price of raw oxtail at the supermarket? 😉
GREAT video, Tim! I LOVE how much you loved the food. A lot of the food from Jacob's reminds me of the big meals my Grandma used to make. Except for the goat curry, oxtail and short rib. I want to try to cook those because I've never had them before.
It's a good thing I don't live near in NYC and especially Amy Ruth's or I'll spend all my food money there... Everything looks scrumptious! Thanks for sharing, dear Tim
Soul food is my absolute favorite! Especially oxtails with pigeon peas over rice with delicious oxtail gravy, some stewed cabbage and fried sweet plantains!
@@TimLeeLetsGo I was a pro at the by-the-pound buffet....Id work the bottom of trays with the boned meats, as you'd find lots of stripped meat at the bottom.. And never add salad dressing.. Blue cheese weighs a ton..😅
This is an awesome review!! I'll have to convince my family to come here if i can convince my mom to drive to the city with all of traffic lol 😅 thanks so much for this review! Food looks amazing, great review and description, and you have a very calm voice. Quality work! 😊 this is the first video i saw of yours found on my timeline. New subbie!
I notice soulfood buffet style restaurants have some of the best tender turkey. It literally falls apart. Idk how they do it. My family makes very juicy brined turkey but these buffet places hit it spot on. I miss living in NYC for these types of spots. Especially this one on Flatbush Ave in Brooklyn 🤤😋
Food looks delicious but when I think of buffet it’s all you can eat for a set price, not by the pound. Although it’s set up like a buffet, that’s too expensive! I went to Sylvia’s many years ago and it was amazing!!
Tim, your the Mr. Rogers of food! Thanks for letting us in your neighborhood!
Well said:)
Thank you Steve, you are very kind 🙂
I second that, well said 👍
Such a good analogy, both with the STRONGEST 1950s accents ever and super polite.
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood 🤣😂😂
I think Tim’s serenity, and honesty are very refreshing. He is the Mr. Rogers of food.

Tim, thanks for stepping out of your comfort zone (Asian cuisine) by showcasing soul food...kudos to YOU 👍💖😋
Oh, I think this is well within my comfort zone now 😋
Asian people love soul food
I'd love more shows like this.. original mom and pop shops.. on top of your amazing buffet experience's..
Oh that looked delicious. Just like food my grandmother used to make, especially the banana pudding. Happy memories. Thanks for sharing.
You are very lucky Dawn 🙂
HI TIM !! 😊 LOVE TO SEE YOU ENJOY THE FOOD I GREW UP ON .

You are the kindest soul eating soul food. That oxtail tho--looked so tender!! Love you
Thank you so much. I could have had a whole plate of that oxtail alone 😋
Both restaurants looked great. The 1st with so much to choose from and the other that chicken and waffles 🧇 😋 Thanks Tim.
Love the soul food, love watching your channel, can never get enough of your videos!
Love that idea of using BOTH sides of the container!! Will be doing that in the future. Gonna grab my daughter- Road trip!! Thanks Tim

Tim, it's 8 O'clock in the morning and you make me want to jump on the A train to go get some great Harlem soul food. 🍽
Let's go!
That's some tasty looking soul food, especially the oxtails! Can't beat a good chicken & waffle too!
Great video. You always find such cool spots with unique food. That Mac and cheese looked deadly. Thanks for sharing.
Great choices Tim. Everything looked amazing.
It's hard to make a wrong choice 😉
Absolutely delicious looking food 😍 I wished Australia had a few restaurants that sold soul food as I would really love to try comfort food like that.
Greetings from Canada! I have many family members in Australia and had the good fortune to visit there. I still remember the lobster morné.
There are loads of soul food TH-cam recipe videos. You can even make the spice mixtures from spices at Woolworths. Have a go. 💞🤗
Looked delicious. Nice video. Nice food review. Thanks Tim.
Thank you so much Karen 🙂

Very interesting. Thanks as always Tim.❤
Oh my God Tim I was watching and eating along with you. Everything looks so delicious 😋. I love the concept of all you can eat by the weight because people waste so much at a buffet.
Very true! I had to be a bit careful with what I take... I think this is a case of economics at work 😉
I just love when employees in places of business are happy to see customers and don't look at you like " I know you passed 3 other places but you still came here."
Omg the first restaurant looked amazing. It would be hard to stop my plate from being too heavy 😅
I know! I had to use both sides 😋
Good stuff Tim my lad! While you're in New York, definitely check out Astoria, there are some incredible places to eat there! Queens in itself has some awesome restaurants and there is so much variety!
May God bless you too man, first time watching this guy and I love him

Likewise! The consumption of fried chicken and oxtail would be astronomical
Eating Jacob's right now!
Mmmm once again Tim making me hungry! 😊 great video!!
Thank you so much, 🙂
Wow home style cooking!
Thanks for your lovely stream and very interesting what some people consider "good food".
Love fried chicken! Always looking for new places, specially in Las Vegas. 😍🍗
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! Really love it as well and when it's made fresh to order
I love your spirit! God bless!
Soul food is my absolute favorite! Especially oxtails with pigeon peas over rice with delicious oxtail gravy, some stewed cabbage and fried sweet plantains!
Those sauces and gravies are so flavorful... I could certainly use an oxtail stew right about now
@@TimLeeLetsGo me too 🥰
That food looks good especially the oxtails and candied yams thanks for the video
I am going to go there tonight. Everything he was eating I was tasting it.
My Mouth Is Absolutely Watering!

One of my favorite food shows
Wow sound amazing food tasty and delicious ❤
It was a very fulfilling day 😉
The food at Jacobs restaurant looked fantastic!
And that's a lovely message to end the video with.
Looked Like every other lunchtime buffet here in NYC, not impressive at all

It's easy with food like that, 😋
If you enjoyed NYC Soul Food you would really LOVE Mississippi's Soul Food 🤤
Oh yes. Get him some fried catfish
Thanks for coming to my neighborhood! You now have a new subscriber :)
Thanks for sharing 😊 I didn’t know about the additional soul food restaurants in Harlem.
So delicious I can tell from over here!
Oh, what I wouldn't give for another plate of that oxtail
Ive never had chicken and waffles and always wanted to try it!
I would highly recommend it.. and while you're there, go for the oxtail 😋
Food looks good especially that chicken from Amy Ruth’s
Can never complain about fried chicken 😋
I have eaten at Jacob's once or twice. The food is very good there. Tim, you are making me wish I was there right now!!
What a fantastic range of dishes
I would definately go back😋
That was a great buffet at Jacobs! Of course, I would go heavy on the oxtail, short ribs & pork ribs! The chicken & waffles were just OK!
The Church you passed in the beginning of the video. That is the Church my parents were married 59 years ago.
Love the restaurants in Harlem and will have to make another trip from Cleveland just to try some more restaurants. Never heard of Jacob's.
Jacob's was definitely a favorite 😋
That buffet looks amazing
Great show love this!
Thank you so much 🙂
Love it!! I don't know where you fit all the "goodness" you are sampling!
The food at Jacob's was absolutely delicious 😋
By-the-pound buffets..so popular during the 80s and 90s in Korean markets..the trick was not to fill your container with large bones...😎
I know! I was debating the value of the ribs... But so glad I added them to the plate 🙂
@@TimLeeLetsGo I was a pro at the by-the-pound buffet....Id work the bottom of trays with the boned meats, as you'd find lots of stripped meat at the bottom.. And never add salad dressing.. Blue cheese weighs a ton..😅

Another great city for soul food and southern cooking is Memphis, TN. They have great fried chicken.
This was right on time….tourists in NY visiting from VA looking for some soul food while here❤❤❤
MY GOODNESS! This place is AMAZING 😮
I really like Jacobs 😋
Oh to have one of these in the neighborhood. Looks like the perfect lunch spot
I'm so full right now 😊.

I could spend all days at Jacob's... Thankfully I don't in New York otherwise I'd spend all my days there 😆
ALWAYS GREAT TO WATCH YOU TIM HELLO FROM NEW ZEALAND CHEERS
This may be off the path a little for you, but you have to try Martins Chicken and Waffles in Gallatin TN. I was blown away.
Food looks delicious but when I think of buffet it’s all you can eat for a set price, not by the pound. Although it’s set up like a buffet, that’s too expensive! I went to Sylvia’s many years ago and it was amazing!!
Oh, I have to hit up Sylvia's next time 😋
