It’s a lovely lager matey…. There is a bar about 10 miles from me and see loads of Thai people in there eating and drinking pints of Singha. Lovely to see will defo go in there next time I’m there😎🍺
Had a 'Your Sinclair' playable demo of this and (obviously) adored it. Have memories of having to eventually turn it off so that my Mum could watch Highway to Heaven/Little House on the Prairie.
I've been watching since your subscriber count was 2 digits, and I've commented a lot on these - this is the first time that I felt the CPC hit one out of the park. I remember this one from back in the day, and the only thing about it that I really felt was good in the 64 version was the music.
I remember playing the arcade game in Skegness and Teignmouth. My father got me the zx spectrum version. Admittedly at first i was upset at lack of bright colours, but I soon ignored tge graphics. I love the spectrum version. I will admit it hasn't aged well. If I remember correctly mine came in a box with a poster, but the poster had codes on the back.
Another belter OG The NES version of TMNT or TMHT depending on the country you live had two extra levels not seen in ither versions and that includes the arcade version Steller comparison video mate and I would love to see you do more like this 👍😎
Will try and get a few more done matey😎 Strangely they get great comments and reactions but the viewing numbers not as high as usual videos which is a shame as lot of effort goes into these… But worth it for the community and comments element 😎🍺
Had one of the arcade cabs in my local back in the day. Great game. Never played a home conversion. It just came along at a time when i was in my gaming wilderness years. Girls and beer got in the way at that time.
OG. Absolutely wonderful.. The 4 player Turtles was a joy to play and yes, beautiful memories. I'm glad you mentioned The Simpsons, that game was incredible and did it ever get a home port? CRIMINAL if not! I'm pretty sure it didn't. Great days..Konami and Capcom, both the greatest 🤙
Great stuff once again 👍 My memories about this game is from the NES back in the day and momeries are good, but To be honest I played it again on two player game with my Brother few months ago and it really didn't work for me anymore, I rather keep my old memories from this, than make New ones 🥴 Also I have this on my pile of C64 floppy disks To try, but after watching this I don't think I will Bother with this one 🤓 Keep these versus videos coming, these are so fun To watch 💪
Cheers matey... The VS videos are a strange one as get awesome feedback and engagement from them 😎 But the views not as strong as other videos.... But do enjoy revisiting the older games so more in the pipeline for sure buddy 😎🍺
I think the NES sold us on the idea of having arcade games at home and most of them are pretty decent. I did buy the retro turtle's game collection for my switch and the NES arcade version is on it, I'll have to let you know if they have fixed that sprite flicker ? One game I loved playing in the arcade was the very controversial NARC by Williams Midway, I played that at home on my C64 and from what I remember wasn't bad, I did revisit it later on the PS2 it was included in Midway arcade treasures 2 and it's just such a great game. Another top vlog OG keep up the good work mate 👍
Cheers matey... Maybe I could visit NARC for a future VS video? 😎 Would be interested to hear if the sprite flicker is evident on the collection matey. Thanks for the comment and so glad you enjoyed this video buddy 😎🍺
@@OGDuffy I did give it a go on the Switch, it's the cowabungga collection and it still had some sprite flicker but that was a decent playable version for the NES 👍
Played the Amstrad version back in the day, I remember really enjoying it. Although I remember the graphics looking better. Perhaps it was because these games were designed to be played on relatively small CRT screens where a lot of the deficiencies would be unnoticed. These games just don’t look as good on modern screens.
Og I have never forgiven the Amiga for that disater Outrun conversion. And I never forgave my Amstrad CPC for Gradius.......enough to drive me to drink lol I am well into the bottled lager range also my friend!!! For me I like the NES version for its smoothness. Cheers for the video and your opinion....
Great vids! Can I ask about your Bubble Bobble table top arcade: were all the games preloaded? Can you add games? Would you recommend it? And what was the cost? Thanks bud!
The Speccy & Amstrad versions were programmed by the same guy and play pretty much identically so not sure how you are feeling the Speccy version feels much different. Funnily enough, both versions do have all of the music in the code but the programmer devided not to use it as it caused too much slow down on both systems. A hacked Speccy version was released a couple of years ago that included the in-game music and you can see how much worse it performs th-cam.com/video/8jpQWlXPVlg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wgjkpFua_SvTTIuG
Maybe it’s physiological but the Amstrad version just did it and felt better to play for me matey 😎 Thanks for the info about the music will take a look at the link 😉🍺
Do we know which system was the lead one on the Amiga/ST? My guess would be the ST, given the Amiga version just seems like a sloppy port of it. Played this in the Arcade and on the NES. Also noteworthy is the SNES Turtles in Time which carried the same gameplay of the arcade and boasted a pretty stellar soundtrack IIRC (also done by Konami).
SNES Turtles i time is a great game matey... As for the ST and Amiga I would guess the same matey.... Seems the Amiga got a rushed through version for sure 😎🍺
Great game in the arcades but probe did a poor job on most of the home conversions, why in hell they left the mus9c out out the amiga version is beyond me , piss poor scrolling too. Agree with u the amstrad version for the hardware was great just ashame no music
I’m 49 now, been a gamer since the C64 days and owned most consoles. I rarely go back and play retro games these days as I just don’t get that same enjoyment from them. I prefer to stick with the memories rather than be disappointed.

Nice to see a comparison video and even better with the Amstrad winning
A worthy winner 😎🍺
Great choice of game for a V.S episode!! I completed this about a year ago in the retro arcade in Norwich!!! Love it!!!
It’s a classic matey, well done on the playthrough 😎🍺
14:46 Gotta love that Singha Lager! (I'm half Thai 🇹🇭)
It’s a lovely lager matey…. There is a bar about 10 miles from me and see loads of Thai people in there eating and drinking pints of Singha. Lovely to see will defo go in there next time I’m there😎🍺
Another one to favourite for the Pandora's box. I think wee Mikey and I could have fun with this one.
For sure matey… Get on it buddy 😎🍺
Had a 'Your Sinclair' playable demo of this and (obviously) adored it. Have memories of having to eventually turn it off so that my Mum could watch Highway to Heaven/Little House on the Prairie.
The days where we had to compete for the TV…. I feel your pain… Nothing worse than your parents saying…. We need to the TV now 😂
Nice to see another system comparison video, these are my favorite!
Will try and get a few more done matey 😎
@@OGDuffy Awesome, I'll be lookin' forward to 'em!

Yep you been here since the early days buddy… Appreciate it 😉🍺

Golden Age of gaming matey.... The classic arcade years and the memories of getting to play them at home ! Good and bad my friend 😀

Rare occasion where I’ve not played any of those home versions. Shocking to see the CPC better than the Amiga!
I know matey… Not something we see very often but a great conversion on the Amstrad none the less 😎
The Amiga one was unfinished I believe, as their parent company was collapsing
Had one of the arcade cabs in my local back in the day. Great game. Never played a home conversion. It just came along at a time when i was in my gaming wilderness years. Girls and beer got in the way at that time.
I remember those wilderness years very well my friend 😎🍺 Yep gaming was put on hold for a few years 😉

Was a great conversion on there for sure matey. As you say modern screens a lot sharper than our old CRTs for sure 😎🍺
Have a good week og ye had a great result yesterday against utd

Cheers matters the sound on the Amiga missing is a complete mystery matey 😏
Amstrad version surprised me in a good way 🍺
Recently went back to the arcade version and good grief, it’s difficult. I didn’t find it enjoyable at all.
Strange how our memories of games quite often don’t live up when we revisit the older games we remember so fondly…. 😎🍺
