In these times where money is so scarce the Dollar Tree is saving us money. I love all of the wrappings, hard to choose my fav. Thank you for the gift bag idea to use as an added decoration on the package. I already wrapped all my gifts but will remember this for next year. Back in the 70's I lived in a small town, and I worked at a drugstore that was also a gift store with cosmetics and so on. We offered gift wrapping and I always got to wrap gifts for no charge for people during the holiday. I loved it and people were so grateful.
I worked in a card/gift/wedding supply store back in the late 80's; I also got to wrap gifts...we had a Bow Maker Machine...and I had the fun job of MAKING bows, if you can believe it! ...
I've saved this video to remind me how to wrap a few special gifts next year. Actually, we could do this all year long with birthdays! I'll be visiting Dollar Tree to pick up some festive paper and embellishments for special wrapping. This is one of my fav videos. Thank you!
Great job Rebecca. Knew you could rise to the challenge 😊 all came out great but i especially liked the black and white plajd and the bow. I have a white 9' tree and it was black and white different pattern ornaments from striped in different directions to harlequin, plain black, silver and then accented with pink.

I think this would be fun for kids to help with. Let their creative minds flow. This year I used flat black paper with bronze satin ribbon. I also used white paper with black pine trees with either black satin or black velvet ribbon.
Great ideas! One of the thinks I love about DT is that they carry regular Scotch transparent tape and regular cellophane tape which is almost invisible when used on foil wrapping paper.
This brings good memories of when my Budgies Blu & Sprite, and Lovebird (Mr) Lucie we’re still alive. They liked to help pick out the paper, ribbons, and tag, and decorating the Christmas tree. Sprite was the one who enjoyed it the most. He decorate the tree the most their last Christmas. The tree hasn’t been changed all that much since that Christmas.

I have a box of Christmas cards that people have sent me over the years. I cut off the fronts of the cards and recycle them as gift tags for my gifts. It is fun to match them to the wrapping paper that I am using.
I had a great time at DT buying mini ornaments and embellishments for my gift wrapping. I splurged on some of my wrapping paper but these inexpensive flourishes will be just the right amount of bling ❤
I love this! My grandmother always would add a beautiful accent to packaging, even well into her 90’s!!! Whether it was a beautiful bow or an ornament, I always could tell who it was from 🥰

I try to get wrapping paper at Costco; usually double sided and nice quality. I buy grosgrain ribbon from a company online; very inexpensive for 50 to 100 yards, much cheaper than the ugly ribbon at the store.. I’m also a card maker so I make my own tags and cards. Also found a cool idea for a big tag that intertwines with the ribbon and becomes like my bow or focal point so I can stack gifts and not crush bows.
I wrap exactly like you.....even the pressing of the seams.... everyone comments every year how pretty my packages are, it makes me feel good that they enjoy their gifts.. I use to watch my grandmother wrap gifts and she was so neat, tidy, exact when she wrapped gifts...You never saw tape on her gifts..She used regular tape but you never saw it outside the package... I loved her so much.. She was such a classy, beautiful lady and also a fantastic dresser..she seemed to do everything perfect(.to my young eyes)..She was a great cook, baker, Christmas with her was magical.....I guess I learned how to wrap, from her.
We got the cutest bags and boxes and containers at our Dollar Tree here in Lee’s Summit Missouri. They were just gorgeous. And last year we picked up some fabulous two sided wrapping paper at Walmart; one sides this metallic silver and the other side was this mint green; metallic silver with candy canes on one side and the other metallic green with fa la la on the other side. You just got a look and dig through the piles. Another thing why does everybody buy already curled ribbon. It’s so easy to do on your own. I make all my curly ribbon on my own. And I just love the polar bears on that wrapping paper. I’m glad I’m not the only person who saves good ribbon and use it again
Dollar Tree or 99cent store is the only place to buy gift 🎁 bags and wrap. Great job as usual, most of us do not put that much effort when there's so much to wrap, but you always inspire me! Trying to focus on keeping Jesus the main attraction! ❤️🌲🙏🏼🎁

Many people give us gifts in gift bags and I have kept all of them. I love the idea of cutting out the central design from a gift bag to jazz up a wrapped gift. Girl, you're after my own heart! I dislike gift wrapping, so I have to cull cards, leftover greenery, scrap ribbon, and all kinds of things from my craft stash to make it entertaining for myself. My mom always did that, too, and she could come up with some festive and beautiful packages. Happy holidays!❤

One thing about Dollar Tree, no matter your income level, they always have something that is just a better deal to be purchased as DT vs other stores!
