Good origins interview... it’s black history. Unfortunately. I often wonder how things would’ve been if Raymond and Tookie stayed alive, and on the streets, whole, to grow and develop as men, long enough to influence the proper change in what they’ve created. From what my pops and uncles (ECC originals) have told me, both of them brothas sound like they pulled a lot of weight. As well as many others. Would be nice to see that flip into a different, more positive direction, for our culture. Or maybe it would’ve been worse, with them alive, who knows. Black folks tend to wait for a “leader” of sorts, before we move. That’s unfortunate.
