It aint nothing to glorify. This school got so many hoods going through it but they all family during class dont let them fool you. Beef dont usually start till high school

Brings back memories, even though I was just a youngster.Horace Mann & Crenshaw High. My parents would let me go, and instead sent me and sibling to an all boys high school, which is Junipero Serra High in Gardena. Still found a way to bang Rollin 60 Crip lol. Pretty Boy was on point regarding the O.G.'s going to school, graduating, and being very intelligent. As well as articulate. Even intelligent people can make godawful choices

Amazing gang history that goes back decades. On another note, I noticed that people who tend to keep reminiscing and bragging about their (Jr High School and High School) days dont really turn out to be successful later in life. They tend to cling on to the same friends and neighborhood throughout their whole life without experiencing much variety in life.

I attended Horace Mann in '97, and was fought into a girl's clique Looney Toons my first day. I had no clue that was happening at the moment, I was just Fighting back. It all started because those bad ass kids asked me, "where you from" and I told them Bethune off of 69th and Main. That's all they needed to hear. Next thing I know, I fought three girls, and was given a nickname. Smh. Horace Mann battle tested everyone.

I knew Victor when he was a youngster never knew he was banging nor a guitar player. I was playing keyboards and Music was and still is my thing . He lived right across the street from me. I lived on the corner of 67th and St Andrews. His sister and my baby sister were best friends. I never knew he was that deep in the gangs. I'm about maybe 5 or 6 years older than him. I only found out a few years ago how deep he was in the gangs when I was watching a video about Monster Kody and saw him. noticed his Street name was Pretty Boy and started following his videos. I knew Rolling 60's were pretty deep in that hood when I first moved over there . I knew Darryl C and his family who live right around the corner on 68th right across the street from Horace Mann I knew Darryl was banging and I think his older brother Jr was a OG too. Our families were pretty close My baby sister was close friends with their youngest sister FeFe as well. I also went to Bethune Jr high with Jesse and his younger brother Slam who lived in the apartments on Western across the from the Liquor store on 65th. I didn't really know at the time how deep the gang activity was and dangerous it was in the hood until I I started watching these video's I knew a lot of guys 8 Trey Gangsters Like Rayford Miles who live down the Street from the Jack In the Box on the corner of 83rd and Western that later became a Golden bird Chicken when we moved in that neighborhood I was 19 years old. I lived there until I got married in 1982 moved and in 1986 left Los Angeles and moved up to the SF Bay Area where I still live My mom and family continued to lived there until she passed in 2013 and I sold the house in 2016

I don’t celebrate any of these man made pagan holidays but I am going to chill ..clean etc🧼… …do laundry at home🧺 …take care of my fur babies ❤️🐾🐾❤️and ponder on what I want to cook me for dinner 🥘 and watch me some documentaries and movies today starting with my old Junior High School right here Horace Mann Jr High… I am currently watching this. This video was before I was a student here at Horace Mann Jr High
    L.A, C.A!
Then from here I went to Crenshaw High and I finished up at Horace Mann Hr High! Some people like my homegirls went to Washington Prep tho after Horace Mann Jr…or Manual Arts Sr High or Dorsey!!! Horace Mann was the same as this video when I was a student there…it didn’t change…the gangs were still the same when I went there…for elementary I went to Budlong behind John Muir…and Figueroa St Elementary School! Just me reminiscing watching this!!!!
The females in L.A bang just as hard as the men….it has not changed period!i

Lol, i remember the dude at da front of the mob was always the one bout to fight & most of the mob aint his boys its just other kids that saw the mob & followed to watch the fight by the time the guy at the front finds the dude he wanna fight the mob behind them is huge.....the good ol days!!!!

I knew alot if people who went to Horace Mann in the late 1970s because of my old Grade school Western Ave I went John Muir at the time it was Kool at that time but I had no idea that the 60s and the 8trays was about to jump off like that it's a shame all the lives that was lost on both sides I hope the kids today learn from their mistakes and do something with their life's before it's too late prison or the grave yard it's your choice also the police is waiting for you our there too
