Some creative criticism... you need to work on the ending of your videos. They end so abruptly. Just have them say "good bye" or "see you next video/time" or "if you liked this video don't forget to subscribe blah blah blah....." or a combination of those.
@@pakbowl420 or a roundup of which they liked best, etc. I feel the same, but keep in mind, they may have filmed them in advance
It's funny to see a latina pronounce baguette better than 100% of yankees.
Bonjour de France !
That’s how French bread supposed to be. It’s supposed to be a hard shell and the bread should have a flavor. Also, Italian bread should have a hard shell with. Flavor. WALMART or other stores don’t know how to make real French or Italian bread. NEVER BUY FRENCH OR ITALIAN BREAD FORM WALMART. It’s an insalt
As a French person, I shouldn't have watched this video, I feel like starting a revolution again.
It's like having a Mexican watch French Moms trying "Mexican Food" for the first time and they're given Taco Bell. Please don't do that.
5:12 That's not even a tarte tatin, that's a putain de tartelette à l'abricot !!
I could not agree more... And the first sandwich looks more Italian than French... Pesto ? And baguette or... Ciabatta ?
Nevertheless congrats to the ladies for the improvements they suggest: coffee, vanilla ice cream, almond slices 👌🏻
Jamais vu une omelette comme ça de ma vie.
ce sont des vidéos de merde qui servent juste à faire des vues. il ne faut s'attendre à rien de bien sur cette chaine.
I love the “FOO” lady so much 😭😭😭.
I agree Lulu is the best! 🎉
I was worried when she wasn't in the Red Lobster one that maybe she was out. I would miss her vibe and her, "That's gooood!"
I love Lulu too!
She acts like my aunt on my dad’s side of the family….. I LOVE IT ❤❤❤
I fkn love Lulu too💯🤷🏽♀️🫶🏽👊🏽
FRENCH CUISINE IS VAST AND UNIQUE, THEY ARE NOT GETTING THE BEST EXAMPKES OF FRENCH CUISINE. 😢
I agree. Most of this food likely came from an inexpensive and Americanized bistro.
And I don’t blame Lulu for not liking that Quiche - it doesn’t even look like an authentic Quiche.
Definitely not authentic
Agreed!
@@monicat.4880
That omelette was definitely over cooked and the bread was a joke!
@@jesusgamboa9899maybe everyone doesn’t have to like french food. Everyone doesn’t like all soul food, all white american dishes, all itialian food etc etc
Not sure where you picked this food, but a lot of it didn't look like French food at all.
Yes, the sandwiches were italian sandwiches xD the rest was french, but not fresh enough.
Hard agree with others on the comments, this is very basic "French" food. As a French, I probably would give a "meh" at best for these dishes. Yo producers at Mamah...What about beef Bourguignon, raclette (which is probably as French as it's Swiss), steak tartare (for the shock value), foie gras, cassoulet, choucroute, etc...etc... If you could do another one actually representing French cuisine, our gorgeous Mamahs would have a better understanding of our cuisine. 🙂 And those snails do not count, that's blasphemy, where's the garlic/parley butter and FRESH snails at?! ;-)
LOL don't let them try things this complicated, given they bought italian sandwiches and made a video with food that was barely fresh.
The “foo” lady got me dyin 😂. She’s too funny.
The quiche had no flavour ? 😮 That wasn't a French quiche 😂
I was born in Nancy (Lorraine) and I approve this message !
Snails are so good! Especially when the snails are cleaned and cooked properly, and stuffed back in the shells with a good amount of garlicky butter infused with herbs. It is excellent!
Yes! I was thinking, maybe the lack of garlic butter was what makes it the punishment XD
And it’s quite a common dish in many countries, not just France! My own grandmother had her personal spin on the snails/butter/garlic recipe, she would get all of us to de-shell the snails and then she’s roll down her stockings and pass water into a small bowl and pour it onto our heads. Sometimes she would toot some gas too.
Yes. Garlicky butter, shallots, fresh herbs and a baguette.
@@ah7910no way my grandma had the same recipe
Snails don't really taste like anything - maybe slightly mushroomy - but they are a brilliant delivery mechanism for garlic butter :D
They should have also tried Brie, Comte, Chèvre cheeses.
And Beef Bourguignon (or Coq au Vin for Xochitl since she doesn’t eat red meat)
Brie might be on its last legs...
@@LindaC616 why do you think that?
@@jesusgamboa9899 because I have read articles. The mold that they use to produce Brie for some reason is not reproducing. So that means that it's going to eventually die out. Prices were predicted to Skyrocket on brie.
@@jesusgamboa9899 I love boeuf bourguignon. I use Ina Garten’s recipe
Chocolate eclair and french onion soup are my favorites! 🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵
Together???
@@telebubba5527 I think he meant separate
🤣 chocolate!? In SpongeBob character voice 🤣
Jambon-beurre is the typical baguette sandwich but honestly, this pesto one looks way tastier. French omelette isn't browned and usually only has chives, parsley, tarragon and chervil. The desserts looked so goood!
If there's a Part II, maybe try familiar dishes: Vol-au-Vent (Volovanes Veracruzanos), Vichyssoise (Sopa de Poro y Papa), Bouillabaisse (Caldo de Siete Mares), Gratin Daupinois (Papas Gratinadas), Palmiers (Orejas).
I just Googled all of these and my Mexican mom made all of these dishes growing up! No mames soy french oui oui 🤣
@davidb5205 Bouillabaisse also reminds me of Salvadorean Mariscada.
Escargot is definitely not punishment. I loves ‘em: they don’t have much flavor all by themselves, but they absorb whatever sauce they are in and then they become little bursts of incredible deliciousness.
This is American French food, not French...
Can someone please give that sweet lady a cup of coffee already!
But that escargot was supposed be baked in fresh garlic and butter though... yumm stuff seriously
I’m so scared to eat snails/escargot bc the thought of eating it makes me sick lol. Like I’m all for trying new things but sometimes I’m okay staying in my lane lol.
😅😅
I waa too lol.. ,honestly they are over rated ...very chewy almost rubbery with garlic butter ,not really for me ...now liver pate was delicious at Bellagio ❤
@@jnacsantacruz7965 If they were rubbery they weren't cooked right. The few times that I've had them they have the texture of mushrooms.
@andreabradley5837 I see yeah it seemed like forever to chew lol
If there's pesto in the sandwich, then the French are getting some help from the Italians. LOL!
We have also a pesto in France it's called Pistou from Provence. The south east of France and the north west of Italy with Genoa (where you have the best pesto) have similar foods.
Yes the bread looked like ciabatta, so with the pesto, it was likely an italian sandwich.
Yay, Lulu and Xochitl are my fav! Only one missing is Lucy!!! ❤
I'm french. The main problem with these products is they aren't fresh enough. The bread shouldn't be hard, it should be crunchy but easy to eat. This bread was either frozen, or the sandwiches were made many hours before. Also usually there is no pesto (it's italian) and especially no chilli in french sandwiches, although the fillings usually vary. But the bread was ciabatta, it was an italian sandwich.
The quiche looked quite normal but needs to be warm and it should be tasty. It's likely the cheese wasn't that great. The first pain au chocolat wasn't fresh either, you see it immediately.
Same freshness problem for the croque-madame.
I think all these things were bought at least 8h before, perhaps the day before for the video, and it really hurts the taste.
And you don't eat snails alone like that loool
Well.... Piment d'Espelette or Piment de Cayenne are very often used in French cuisine and they're chilis tho our food is not especially spicy we still use it in small quantities but whatever I 100% agree with you
Euh non la quiche ne ressemblait pas à une quiche.
The lady in the red Barrett is slaying
Lupe is one of my favs

Why does a "french" baguette have pesto on it??
😮💨
It's a pretty common sandwich in France
@@hidenname541 I live in France and I'd say, no it isn't.
@@KateOBrienCreative i live in France and litterally every boulangerie sells this as sandwich italien
@@hidenname541 Well, not in my region...
Not all tarts are baked upside down, mostly just tarte tatin to get that caramelized apple layer right. Desserts like tarte au citron (lemon tart) have the pastry layer baked in a dish before the filling is poured in, right side up.
Exactly! But gosh tarte tatin is good. But no abricot jam or other fruits, just pure good baked and caramelized apples and butter haaaaaaa and of course with a good coffee or chilled champagne
Croissants r actually from Vienna, that's why the French call it Vienoisserie.
not really
Was this video cut off ? It ends suddenly on the snails, I wanted to see more reactions to it.
Mexican moms try authentic Italian food next!
That means no Olive Garden.
@@jesusgamboa9899 of course I know that.
I have an egg allergy so it will be difficult to see them eat Neapolitan lasagna.
@@andreasfort1599 Im not a big fan of the boiled eggs in Lasagne Napolitana.
@@jesusgamboa9899 glad it’s not just me. That sauce takes HOURS to make
Love mamahs! This channel is amazing ❤❤❤❤
As someone who is from the Lorraine region in France, I have never seen anything less resembling a quiche lorraine as the thing they gave them here...
I liked the moms that spoke only and mostly Spanish
Only watch these series for mammah Lulu. She's so down to earth, charasmatic and funny lol.
I have a feeling a lot of that wasn’t very authentic. The escargot were all wrong. They taste like dirt when they’re from Asia.
The way the guy pronounced crepe like crap was so funny 😂
I'm not french at all, but from watching countless chefs go on about omelettes I would say that omelette wasn't french... They're supposed to be colorless and a little bit undercooked🫣
Colorless no but very soft yes. They call it omelette baveuse or saliva omelette. My favorite is mushrooms omelettes, gosh so good
Also no chili - the French don't use hot spices.
@GlaukopisNox Spanish people use the word chili for bell peppers.
@@Pierre-LucTremblay I meant to say no brown parts 😅😂😂😂
I'm new. The lady with the tattoos looks like she would be a fun friend!
Lulu seems like that kind of friend who will help you when you are down.
The white beret lady is the cutest!
I love her! She eats with such love. Even if she isn't crazy about something she is still kind. ❤
You guys are crazy for giving them snail dry like that without it being cooked in butter ,garlic and persil
Smh, literally Mexico and France have a long history, and not only did France influence many Mexican leaders and icons but it also influenced many of our own dishes. Literally they chose the worst dishes and obviously reheated in the micro. You’re in LA, why not do work with the various French restaurants to not only get REAL French food, but to also show a better representation. This is like Gringos using Taco Bell to represent us.
It's hard to tell whether the croque monsieur (which looks like a croque madame), the éclair, the crêpe and the pain au chocolat are the real stuff. they look like it so we can only hope.
The baguette sandwich looks like something you could buy in the US, but doesn't look like baguette at all.
The omelette may be the real stuff but is never eaten as a sandwich in France.
the tarte Tatin isn't. at all. What they're eating is a mystery.
the snails, omg!!!!! a French chef would be fired if he served this thing.
As a French woman, I can telle you, that not all the dishes you have been made to taste look NOT good.
The bread of the sandwich is too old, the omelette is overcooked, the quiche looks so bad, the éclair is industrial.
In short, I'll stop the video there, but, it's a shame for REAL French food.
What a shame !
Lulu is my favorite!!!
All those food made in the USA look soooo sad. Only the quiche lorraine look ok, but I guess it lacked seasoning.
Snail without the shell and herb butter do not taste good, of course.
Like I would say that Mexican food is meh because I tried Taco Bell. There was a sauce in a small sachet with flame on it, even sriracha have more heat (and it's a mild chili sauce).
What the hell is this ? Almost none of those are representative of French cuisine and most of them rely on good products, which you clearly could not find...not even counting the cook itself.
They would actually need to try this food in France. None of this looks authentic. Also some of these aren’t even great examples. An omelette at the end of the day is just that. There’s not gonna be a ton of flavor in that.
Bon a petit FOOOOO 😂
That baguette was filled with pesto? Why? Pesto is not French. They could have made a ham-and-butter baguette. That's a classic filling. Very common to see a "jambon-beurre" in French.
Exactly!! As a french Canadian I know french cuisine but I've always had my sandwich with mayonnaise or mustard and a lot of garnish. But when I visited Paris I had my first french baguette jambon beurre (with some type of french cheese inside) and I thought it would be bland.
OMG because the ingredients are top quality, it's literally amazing!
@@Pierre-LucTremblay Le pesto est italien,, mais le pestou est français
When are they tasting South African food😊😊
I see Lulu, I click.
Mamas are fooled... Tartin means only a Pie and there are plenty and not every even in France is "titin"
I would like for the Mamahs to be educated about all of the foreign foods that they are trying out.
@@jesusgamboa9899 Then pay Attention of "Naminig" things and forget your "belives" - Those two have nothing to do with eachother...
It's spelled TATIN
I think you need to restart a new video with actual French food … it’s like saying orange chicken is Chinese food but literally it’s a made up dish Americans labeled it as Chinese ….
To be accurate most of these recipe are very common in France, but in this case they just looks so bad
You guys pick the worst punishments and it’s not even a punishment
Tarte and tarte tatin is two different things, tarte tatin is cooked upside Down but not classical tarte
Por favor mamahs try laotian food and drinks 🇱🇦
😂!! Much love from San Antonio, Texas! ❤
Missing Monica she’s so positive I bet she would have loved trying French plus she loves everything
MOROCCAN FOOD NEXT PLEASEEEEE
Interestingly, Merguez (lamb sausage with origins in the Maghreb) is also popular in France due to the past colonial links with Algeria and Tunis as well as migration from those regions.
French food is good, especially Bouillabaisse and Chocolate Souffle.
Don't forget the good cakes like queen of Sheba or THE MARQUIS mium mium.
When I've been to Paris I almost had a mouth orgasm when I tasted fir the first time the SOLE MEUNIERE (sole filet cooked in butter with lemon and capres). They served me this dish with a very good Sauvignon Blanc.

“Are You Sure Its French” ? Lol
As a Frenchie the things that were accurate were : L'éclaire au chocolat, La crêpe, Le croque monsieur all the rest wasn't it at all
A sandwich full of pesto has never made any french dish !!!
An omelett is everything but french ! You can eat an omelett in Los Angeles, Frankfurt, Hong-Kong etc...
They should have tried the original Clafoutis with cherries - Xochitl would’ve liked it since it’s not very sweet.
I Wonder if France prefer the muslim women in burqa, maybe they would be so much more funny and closer to French culture ?! French seem to be so open to immigration of islamist culture !
The French cuisine is so universal that we don’t even notice how much of our everyday food is French.
As french, I can tell only by the look of this that it's not quality foods, lol. That the kind you find at the supermarkets, not at quality places.
"Eeyy, esse, fool, francia for ever homes!" 😂❤

I'm French and I'm delighted that we want to promote our gastronomy around the world.
But if you want to do it, just be honest, we have traditional dishes and none of them appear in the video.
Secondly, the tarte tatin is not a tartelette, as it is baked upside down with the top completely caramelised. Canned snails are an insult, they can't be delicious.
The budget is not compatible, but if you really want to make a video of discovering the dishes, it has to be done blindfolded, in a restaurant in France (and especially not in Paris).
The croque madame consists of sliced bread, ham, béchamel sauce, grated Emmental cheese, then a second slice of sliced bread that you put in the toaster. You place a fried egg at the end; no bacon between the bread and the egg. It's exactly like a croque monsieur, but with an extra egg.
The sandwich is made with a baguette, not a ciabatta; the Italians will be happy that we're stealing their recipe and stamping it as French food.
Not all the savoury dishes on offer are gourmet, but they're more akin to French-style fast food.
To put it quickly, French gastronomy is more like: Boeuf bourguignon, choucroute, cassoulet, bouillabaisse, tartiflette, Hochepot, Pansette de Gerzat, Kig ha Farz, Potée Lorraine, Tripes à la mode caen and the list goes on.
In short, the best way is to come to France to taste French gastronomy. But remember that France is not Paris. If you want to compare NY with the USA, it's a separate city that doesn't even come close to representing the USA; the same goes for Paris and France. Paris is still a beautiful city with a lot to see, but it's also home to a lot of scams.
I have bad news for you guys because I'm French, born and raised in Normandy:
5:12 What the hell is that?! You can name it whatever you want but this is definitely not a "Tarte Tatin" !
0:15 So you tell me this is a "poulet crudité" with pesto...? Jeez. BTW I'm not even sure there is chicken in this sandwich. The typical French sandwich is the "jambon beurre"
1:10 Same question.
Few dishes don't look french at all. For the sandwich the basis it is "jambon, beurre" or a "jambon, fromage". The omelette is usually dressed with lettuce and cooked with cheese, bacon, mushrooms, herbs or "nature". Tarte tatin looks odd, quiche also even if we can put inside whatever we want.
So not very french. 🇨🇵
French dude here, if I had the chance to have these fine ladies at home, willing to try for my culture and my food, I would certainly not serve any omelettes, by far too basic, and shared with the whole western culture, though not really distinctive anyway.
Same with the sandwich, looking more italian than anything. You should have made them try an actual jambon-beurre made out of paris ham and normandy butter (how to trigger bretons xD )
French food from america !!! Total bs 3 quarter of this flood isn’t french or done with american ingrédient !! You will never have an french omelette as eng are not washed and not refregirated here!!🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
HAHHHHHHHA such a FRAUD, watching the dish was disgusting, the WORST video. The Omelette come on!! and the Tarte Tatin no way!
If you're eating French in America, you're not eating French. Let's reverse the whole thing, it's like eating a taco in Siberia...
As a french, these products looking very poor quality, unfortunatly
The bread shouldn’t be hard to chew on, I think the baguettes were not as fresh as they should’ve been. But irl it’s sooo good.
At least when the bread isn’t stabbing the inside of your mouth.
hard bread??? omg, bad bread? for sandwich, must use soft bread !! Hard bread is for "croûtons" or "soupe à l'oignon"
If the "pain au chocolat" is cold, then it's not peak experience.
When they're freshly baked, they're crispy on the outside, soft inside.
How about these mothers try Korean food, or chines too. I'd like to see that🍝🌮
I love it that they try French food, because I'm French !
But damn, the "Tarte Tatin", it's definitely not a Tarte Tatin...
Love my mom
Sorry but this was s poor represenation of french food. Beef bourguignon? So many clasic dishes you could have served, not premade sweets
Put salted butter caramel (caramel au beurre salé) on the crèpes... It's more "french" than with chocolate !
"I didn't know that omelette was from France" :P She says the word 'omelette' but do not think where the word comes from :P
The sandwich does not look french at all... Italian bread with Pesto what a joke .. what is that thing with bread slice after ???
This is the extensive American indulgence in the French cuisine unless you go to a Michelin star restaurant there’s no restaurants really just bigger cities
