I went there for middle school in the early 80's. There were many Spooky spots in that building & on the ground. I heard a story from an older lady at church who actually stayed in the original building that the Black Sisters ran. She said she would get so scared at night & would push her dresser in front of her door to try & keep the sisters out.
@SpookyAppalachia If I remember correctly, she went there after they left but their crimes were well known. As I understood it. People in Christiansburg were very afraid they would come back. Not only when they were alive but people were afraid of hauntings from the Black Sisters ghosts as well.
Happy Halloween, Jimmy and Donald! 🎃 Ah yes, a tunnel to the liquor store, every middle school boy's dream! Of course, there probably wasn't a liquor store there when the tunnel was created.🧐 Always enjoy learning more about the Black sisters. I honestly can't blame the one for haunting the cemetery with that obviously vandalized headstone but I'm surprised to hear that she's the only one buried in the family plot! Where are the other sisters? Weren't they accused of killing some of their students? What happened to them? Thanks for the excellent video guys! Hope you and your families have a very spooky evening! 😊
Jimmy, I am from Christiansburg. I love your videos, and I went to that school. I never saw anything but I did have a teacher tell some stories. I also listened to stories that my grandmother told me. My family was one of the six original families that settled the area.
That is awesome! Glad you like the channel I've got a ton of stuff from the new river valley on here. My grandmother told me my grandfather's family was among the first for Blacksburg.
@SpookyAppalachia yes they did a walk through on Halloween night and talked about it all week. I remember all of us watching the news to see if they found anything. They might have it on TH-cam somewhere. Or maybe call the news station and see where you might be able to view it. It was fun, and creepy as well.
First time watching ur channel, very interesting on legends and hearsay of hauntings.. but u didn't give any history on the Black Sisters.. like who they were, names other than one, where they lived, and what was the story behind them for the hauntings.. were they born there? Thanks for sharing... from South Carolina
Maybe I should have linked this one we did last year th-cam.com/video/gHPVGSzDUrw/w-d-xo.html everything I could find was in that one I'm not sure where they came from or where they were born though

Thanks. Interesting tale.
I've heard rumors that one of the others is the one with the broken stone next to her.
@@SpookyAppalachia yes she is buried in the older part on the right side near the top of the cemetery, I live right near it.
