Also I think it's worth considering how many animals are in an animal spot, as travelling between them greatly affects your efficiency.
In my experience (and correct me if I'm wrong) Bears are mostly alone, or max in pairs; Boars are usually 3, sometimes 4; Wolves are usually 3 as well; Wisent I'm not sure, 3 was max I saw, but I don't have much experience with them; and Deer I've never seen less than 5.
So with that in mind a Deer spot (46 XP) will give more XP than a Bear spot (18-36 XP), and also more XP than at least half of the Boar spots (38-50 XP).
Your assessment jibes with my experience. Regardless, maxing out hunting is a grind. Just found out, after playing on and off for over a year, that selling livestock is a great help in leveling Diplomacy; expect 50 points per animal. I also enjoyed Ubermiley's rabbit comment. LOL!
though you must take into consideration that herbivores run away from you while aggressive animals come to you straight

All I really hunt when I go hurting is tier 1(mostly Boar and Wisent). Just because I make simple bags and sell them. Every once and then I see an wolf and they go after me or I just got after them

Great video. Good with a stat table. Jag spelar i Dalen och lär mig hur man spelar. Det är väldigt mycket att lära sig för att komma in i det. Jag har byggt lite hus, rekryterat ett par bybor och gift mig. Det är lite klurigt att få igång dem att arbeta. Det mest grundläggande är svårt att få till.
Thank you! Känns dom en bra början. Det tar lite tid att lära sig allt men när man väl har lärt sig grunderna så flyter det på bra. Storyn i dalen är också bra men jag skulle rekommendera att vänta med den tills du har en åsna eller häst för det är jäkligt mycket springande fram och tillbaka. :)

what about the fish traps, there are 3 and can place multiple?
I actually didn't test these so i can't really tell if they are worth it or not. sorry mate. :)
I have looked into it now. The fishtraps doesn't give hunting skill. They give Survival skill and survival technology. Video about survival coming in the future. Just wanted to let you know. :)
Does villagers help build hunting skills?
No. You can only get skillpoints from doing stuff yourself. Villagers give you techonologypoints. In this case, hunters will give you survival tech. :)
