    Hey, did you had any german counsellors in your camp? Because I'm from Germany and I want to apply for a camp but I'm afraid that I don't speak English well enough.

    heyy is it weird to want to go and work over at a camp in the states at 23? I wanted to go for it at 21 but covid set it aside which sucked, its still something I want to do

    • @victoriawhitehouse704

      Hey!! I’m going to be 23 and going to camp this summer! Most staff at my camp are between 19 and 28 years old!

    Hey, going to be my first time at camp this summer. Just wondering what time off is like if your under 21. Are you allowed into pubs/clubs if you don’t drink?

    • @victoriawhitehouse704
      @victoriawhitehouse704  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It really depends on what kind of place you’re going into! Most bars/clubs will require ID at the door, some will be fine with you going in and will only ID you if you’re buying a drink

    How does travelling to and from camp work?

    • @victoriawhitehouse704
      @victoriawhitehouse704  ปีที่แล้ว

      It will depend on the camp! My camp runs buses to help us get out to places for our time off but lots of staff have cars too!

  • @dailycas
    @dailycas 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey, so you applied with BUNAC, then got placed at your camp, second time you applied straight to your previous camp? were you feverous about at first being placed at a random camp?

    • @victoriawhitehouse704
      @victoriawhitehouse704  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes so most camps will invite you back for the next summer if you’ve done a good job, my camp reached out to me and invited me back so they just send a contract straight over! And honestly not until I actually got on the bus, I hadn’t thought about it too much until it actually felt real!!

    Hey, was there internet at the camp?

    • @victoriawhitehouse704
      @victoriawhitehouse704  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah there’s usually wifi spots over camp but they won’t be everywhere!

  • @millybeltrami7236

    I really want to apply for this next year but I was just wondering I know you don’t go through camp America but they say you can be there for 9-12 weeks, does the website you go through offer the same and if so how long do you go for and can you choose?

    • @victoriawhitehouse704
      @victoriawhitehouse704  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It won’t really matter what agency it is you go with it’s the camps that run for a different number of weeks, when you apply with any agency you’ll be able to put what dates you can go and they’ll only send your application to suitable camps x
