Man that navigator awesome. Great driving too. Rally racing is so awesome. I still can't believe it's not more popular in America. It really should be.
What a rally stage, so many blind crests with nasty kinks. Stunning driving. Rally drivers are without question the most talented and fearless drivers in motorsport.
1:04 "Remember the phone box!" I need to call my psychiatrist! 4:17 "Watch it, don't go wide!" 4:54 "Be brave!" 5:23 "Stay on the road!" 6:29 "Don't be a hero!" He's already a hero, mate!!
The thing about this is is that this is truly strange and inhospitable terrain as can be seen here in the background. Iv'e been there; it's extraordinary.
Excellent - good teamwork, co-driver definitely on it as much as the driver. A fair bit quicker than my best time in the late 80s!! Now takes about 30m in that direction on my bike...
The 4 people who gave the thumbs down are stupid and know nothing about rally and good team work. Amazing driving and co-driving, million thumbs up for Peter Taylor and Andrew Roughead :)
I've driven this road many, many times before. However I was touristing at 30-40mph and it was scary as hell, especially the first cliff part (even scarier just beforehand). Hats off to driver and navigator
Although I do not have a driver's license, I do own a Razor brand Scooter over which I possess a comparable level of control. I've been known to flawlessly navigate through large crowds, threading the needle, as it were, at the midnight releases of the latest tech gadgets. Sure it takes skill but more importantly, it takes a high measure of confidence the likes of which can only be found in Gilded Redditors. Ciao.
Great driving what was the previous record this looks more like a wrc car the gear ratios look perfect for the stage,Massive respect to these guys but when you see MK1 Escorts flat out on the stage you know they are on the limit..
Around 0:20 and lasting at least 3 mins can anyone spot "absolute certain death guaranteed". I spotted it immediately and couldn't keep my eyes off it.
Maximilian Bui Think about it like which gear to be in during the corner (1-6) then how far the next corner is (50-300 meters usually). The co-driver will also describe the corner usually so the driver knows what is coming up (corner opens, tightens, over a crest etc.) On the corners where you can cut onto the shoulder, he'll say cut, or don't cut etc.
why cant people ever set their cameras up properly!!! All we end up with is perfectly exposed cockpits shots with over exposed exteriors. Under expose the shot 2 stops and who cares that the cockpit is a bit dark!!! A simple mask over the shot in post could fix that if you really want to. Such a pity the action is great.
"Aim for the rock dont be a hero"

Bloody superb, for an amateur crew to be that committed. great driving, great notes and calling.
Jeez. Jaw on the floor. That was brutal! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time when they were driving by the cliff! The speeds were unreal!
What a rally stage, so many blind crests with nasty kinks. Stunning driving. Rally drivers are without question the most talented and fearless drivers in motorsport.
My hats off to both in that car! Balls of steel… What an epic drive the car is so set up well! Got to be one of the best iv seen for commitment..!
"Now, don't be a hero!"
That lil "be brave" got to me. Amazing team :)

Cool Vid. "Dont be a hero!!" Love it.
I quite like those calls, might adopt those myself. Be brave. Don't be a hero. :) Didn't put a foot wrong on that stage. Well done.

i don't think i've ever heard a co-driver so busy in me life.
Watch Petter Solberg Ouninpohja.
Robert Reid sat next to Richard Burns is the busiest I have ever heard.
Wow to the both of them. I was on edge for the entire video.
The 4 people who gave the thumbs down are stupid and know nothing about rally and good team work.
Amazing driving and co-driving, million thumbs up for Peter Taylor and Andrew Roughead :)
Peter Taylor...I salute you and your navigator. I thought Knockalla or Atlantic Drive in Donegal was scary but Gribun Rocks in Mull is the mothership!
Just awesome! Great work, lads!

Fantastic video of teamwork at its best.

Truer words were never uttered.
Excellent co-driving.

Fantastic Stuff, we had a great weekend watching these guys!!
It's why these boys get my respect above circuit drivers. Stunning.
wag finger..."don't be a hero!" - brilliant tempering of a maniac.
respect from shirebrook massive>>>>>>he drove it like he stole it!!!!
That was intense!
Like to see him do the same thing in a road rally spec RS2000 !!!
Great driving, well done.
Enjoyed that a lot.
"BE BRAVE!"
The camera doesn't do it justice ... look at the speedo in front of the co-driver !
Around 0:20 and lasting at least 3 mins can anyone spot "absolute certain death guaranteed". I spotted it immediately and couldn't keep my eyes off it.
What do the numbers mean?
The numbers means how open or close the curves are. 1 is for the closest curve and 6 for the wide opens.
How about the bigger numbers likes 40 and 300? He says 40 and 300 within the first 10 seconds...
That numbers are for straight lines after the curves, to know how much to push after the curves

Ahhh very helpful! I've always wondered what they were saying
Very well driven! What a class stage! would the irish Mk2 be that fast out of his own country? probably not!
great co-driver
Stage record, even with a new chicane in!
that steering rack ratio, wow.
M-Sport Ford Focus WRC ?
Left over crest - be brave.
Fuck that, I would have gone straight into the weeds.
Good grief, he almost went off the end of the island! (as Willie Crawford once said)
nice one be a hero
I can imagine the passenger saying "Exterminate?!"
the guy sounds like he is about to cry
un-be-lieveable. My knuckles were white watching it.
Sheep, wild goats, deer, spectator on the road.?
I need a translator for the navigator...
Great post, wish there was a driving game with an even more real looking road track. Raaw!
Best! :)

Is it just me, or does the co-driver sound scared out of his mind
it's coz of the speed, it's hard to speak
No shifter? I miss the Group B rally cars.....
+AbarthPOV its behind the steering wheel
I know Peter he’s my dads friend
A very fast driver.
Is I'd sad that I'm an American and I understood every word that navigator said?
