    NO co driver audio, only engine noises from the Ford Fiesta RS WRC rally car, 2:53 small fast jump, fast through the small village of Les Rousses, 6:06 bad bump, 6:22 many rally fans, 6:53 cuts the corner with a BANG in the village of Le Villard, 7:42 scary flat out full speed for a LONG time, 8:20 fast into village of Les Bouteils, 9:40 bad bump and close to the wall, 10:13 many rally fans to the end of the stage.

    I think Kubica proves that ŧhere are still those old fashioned gentlemen in motorsport who are not driving just for money, but also for passion and love for the sport. That almost fatal crash in F1 couldn't keep him away from racing, instead he left his comfort zone and learned whole new thing, rally. Respect from Finland

    Incredible talent. A real inspiration. Robert always had to struggle with the slower cars, even in F1, and yet he always pushed them beyond their capabilities. In WRC he just needs to learn a bit more tricks how to stay on the roads, and there shouldn't be anything amusing or disappointing about it when he crashes, because he's new in this sport. He has to crash in order to find out his limits. Once he masters it, he'll be unstoppable. One of the best racing talents in the world, respected by many top racing drivers. No wonder he's a close friend with Alonso. The world, and especially Poland needs to learn how to appreciate their hero, instead of bitching about him all the time.

    That's positively the most fantastic tarmac stage I have ever seen in my life -- and one that I could not even conjure up in a dream :D. It has absolutely every fun and thrilling element a tarmac stage can have! It's a nature-made theme park course -- absolutely incredible! :)

    Next time I would love to see The futtage from camera mounted more at The back of The car. Like from behind their heads. The feel of The speed would be much better. Kubica's driving style is very similar to The Colin'z. That type of driving we Love The most!!!!! Go Kubica Go!!!!

    • @barsorrro
      @barsorrro 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Please, stop the nonsense. This camera positioning is _perfect_: we get to see where the car is on the road and what line is being taken by the driver; even if we're "sitting" a little bit lower down than the driver, we can have a good notion of where the corners of the car and its front wheels are.
      Please, don't give the onboard producers an incentive to mount the camera in the back of the car, from where you see the helmets, the dash, and a tiny bit of road through the small opening of the windshield -- this view of the road being something like 50% of the actual image.
      And what's up with the impression of speed?! Put on a bumper-cam view and you will get a feel of speed unmatched by any other. Which doesn't change the fact that it's absolutely rubbish. With the camera placement like in this video you actually get to see what the driver (or, more precisely: the co-driver) is seeing -- isn't that ideal?!

    • @kamiladamczyk9471
      @kamiladamczyk9471 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish to see only once from Robert's car, to see how is his 'dead' hand doing

    • @barsorrro
      @barsorrro 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kamil Adamczyk Mmmm... Isn't that sort of a slightly morbid kind of interest? :D Kidding :). But, seriously... Firstly, I don't see a reason why expose his physical deficiency. Secondly, I think he's probably doing so-so with his right hand, but, let's be honest, it was always possible to control the steering basically one-handed: in the era of H-pattern gearshifts, rally drivers would grip the steering wheel with two hands only on the really fast passages -- normally, you would have to use the right hand constantly to shift gears. So, while any deficiency _is_ a deficiency, making a "disability driver" out of Kubica is a little bit of a stretch, in my opinion. His hand is working, he can tug on the wheel with it (so as to take some strain off the left hand) -- I guess he simply doesn't have much precision in it, and not much strength.

    • @kamiladamczyk9471
      @kamiladamczyk9471 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I completely agree with you, he's not disabled but its hard to imagine loosing main hand and still driving like that. I think it's Robert decision to show only that camera. I'm curious how is he's rehabilitation doing and possible F1 return. Tbh enjoying a lot him in wrc

    • @barsorrro
      @barsorrro 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kamil Adamczyk Well, again, I'm not sure if the right hand is the "main" hand for a driver. I don't know if the Formula Renault cars had paddle shift -- in case they did, I guess Kubica probably learned to use both of his hands rather symmetrically. On the other hand, for a typical rally driver, I think that it's the left hand that is usually the one with the more precise steering control -- I don't think that the natural "righthandedness" of most people has much importance there: the movements of the hand on the steering wheel don't have much to do with holding a pen or manipulating a random precision tool; if you drive a left-hand steering car from an early age, then with every drive your left hand will be learning the correct motions, since your right hand always has other things to do: change gears, operate the radio, operate the AC, and do other stuff.
      As for the camera -- I believe that there may not be another forward-looking camera in the car. I suppose the cameras get their mounting points already during the WRC cars' assembly -- and recently there's been almost exclusively onboards with the same onboard-cam angle as in this footage. Perhaps the TV company decided that it was the best angle :). Or maybe it was the teams themselves -- after all, the crews use their own onboard recordings for analysis, and this view, in my opinion, is superior to any other. (Although I personally also like the roof-cam overlooking the bonnet.)
      If anything,.. well, yes -- we don't get to see the shots from a camera directed at the crew, so either there is no such camera in Robert's car, or somebody has decided there's no place for that sort of footage in the material offered to the public.
      What with Robert's return to F1... I'll be frank: I think it's pretty impossible, and a rather irrational thing to hope for. To put it bluntly: time is not standing still, and Robert is not the only talented driver around. But perhaps my lack of belief in his return to F1 stems from the fact that I was always incomparably more interested in rallying than in F1, so I really love having him in my favourite form of motorsport :).

    • @KrystianMajewski92
      @KrystianMajewski92 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Because it's a private team, not factory. Some teams don't record the voices of the co-drivers.

      KRNM0001 But we can hear the motor, clutch and other noises, how possible, that we can't hear the co-driver, but Robert can.
      Is this something audio technical trick ?

    Differences between Kubica and Raikkonen.
    Kubica: He shows many rally skills, he's got the speed, but he seems also careless, or unlucky sometimes, with the result not to gain many points.
    Raikkonen: The rally didn't fit him a lot, even he tried before, but he was a little bit effective, and he gained some points.

      Kubica had better results and scored more points than Raikkonen

    • @forischatz1994
      @forischatz1994 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      zepter00 yeah yeah well, Kubica gained 41 points in 3 years rallying, and Raikkonen gained 59 points in 2 years rallying.

    • @zepter00
      @zepter00 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Kubica did ride for high results and gave always 101% like colin mcrae did. I did proven you that Kubica was better rally driver. Kubica in private shity Ford Fiesta had much better results than raikonen in citroen DS3 from factory. 14 won rally special stages against 0 and 5th place against 10th. And he made that with one hand (left) his right hand has 20% of efficiency. He was right hand guy. How can kubica is not superior than raikkonen? Everybody see that only you cant? 😁 Kubica won many rallies in italian championship and European championship. He won rally janner ERC even that was hist first janner rally, first time in Ford fiesta and first time on studded tires. He won longest monet carlo stage 30 second with Loeb and almost minute with Ogier. Raikonen never did even simiar things 😁

      @forischatz1994 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah of course he won many rallies, but in other categories/championships. We're talking about WRC category. In conclusion, for WRC category, yes Kubica is much skillful rally driver than Raikkonen, but Raikkonen at the end is more effective. This is my vision!!!

      Lasse Skjøtt Hansen Well, you don't get much of the looks when you're watching onboard footage, right? :) As for the sideways... well, you won't see anybody do drifting on tarmac in modern-era rallying -- the tyres are different, the suspensions have evolved: not only does driving sideways not bring any benefit, but it also gets the tyres to work in the grip zone which is less predictable and more difficult to control than when they are working within good grip levels. Plus, Porsches, with their specific layout, are not (and never have been) the cars to like drifting -- they generate too much rotational momentum: in a Porsche you just want to turn in, let it right itself up completely out of the corner, and then slam it, to use all that weight giving the back wheels good traction.
      But I have to agree about the sound :). And I can't deny that their onboards are exciting to watch. Even if these are usually not tremendously fast runs.
