Check out the band Gunship. Look for the song Monster in Paradise. Also Check out the band... The Midnight, look for the song Vampires.
I'm 32 and love both the Eddie and the Cruisers Movies. My mother played the Soundtracks over and over again growing up. But still better music than anything coming out today
Well there's only a few songs that come out today worth any damn and heck the past had better music because they made more songs that were good than just a few hit wonders that's all we get now all we get a few hit wonders
“Music’s gotta live, man….it’s gotta breathe. So let it breathe.” -Eddie Wilson It’s not about vocal or instrumental gymnastics. It’s about using those instruments as the tool to express what you’re feeeling. I learned that vital piece of info from these 2 great movies. Forever thankful.
Im still learning that. I wanted to play like Edward Van Halen more than anything in the world when I was a boy. Eddie was one of a kind. And he didn't just play fast all the time. It's taken me a long time to learn not to play fast all the time.
These two movies had the best soundtracks. Wore the first one out shooting pool over the summer in the basement at home, had to buy a new copy for my cousin and one for myself. Tender Years is still, to me, the best sax solo ever.
Eddie and the Cruisers. A fantastic group. Their songs still want me to this day. They were a legend in their own time. And the music is an echo from the past. And I love the sound.
@@conditionone4925 Actually that's where you're wrong, The Beaver Brown Band existed long before Eddie And The Cruisers into a movie. All the movie did was give John Cafferty and his band their big break.

I absolutely LOVE this movie. Being a Montrealer, it was great seeing Montreal in a movie, and being totally in love with Marina Orsini certainly did not hurt. As good as the first movie was, and as great as the music was, it was simply too advanced for the era the movie was set in. In the second movie, the music fit the era much better. As a rock and roll double feature, though, it is impossible to beat. And if you add in Almost Famous Bootleg Cut to wrap up the night, you will have a triple feature that will never be topped. EVER.
Geezzz I love that soundtrack. Part one and part two the best soundtrack of ever heard in any movies. I’m not sure which one I like better, part one or part two, lol
I was in this bar in Vancouver a few years ago... waiting to see ACDC play. Man, that was a while back. Anyway, this young guy wandered off to find his way to the stadium. Not familiar with the city, I was getting lost in a scetchy area, and getting a bit anxious. This young, troubled looking homeless type guy comes up to my wife and I, and asked if we were needing help. He was suprisingly polite, and genuine in his concern. He offered to walk and guide us the whole way. Took us down a few scary alleys, but saw our concern, and promised " Nobody will mess with you, if you're with me." We chatted a bit on the way, he was very friendly and honest in admitting his troubles. I couldn't shake the feeling I knew this guy. He said he used to act on t.v. when he younger. Bernie Coulson was his name. My brother and I became big fans of both films when they used to play on the old "Super Channel" on cable back in the day. I introduced the films to many friends over the years, and later to my wife who was with me that day. He guided us safely, and looked so sad when he asked if we could spare anything for his help. Between the two of us, we had about 15 dollars cash to give him. I still wish I could have done more for him. I hope, everytime I hear "On the Darkside" on the radio, that he's been able to get help, and is doing better. Thanks, for your help "Rick Diesel," still have your autograph.
You're full of it. According to IMDB Bernie Coulson worked consistently from 1986 until 2007 and made another movie in 2016. You claim he was a "young man" at the time and since he was born in '65 that would have made him 42 in '07. I wouldn't think someone over 42 living on the streets would look young.
the acting was great as he realizes EXACTLY who that was in stage impossible as it was! No one plays and sings an original song exactly like another person. Forget where and when you are. forget what you think you know. What does your ears and your heart tell you? Who does that sound like? If you had to stake your soul on your answer in your heart of hearts. THAT emotion with one look. Now Credit to Micheal for his acting what John was singing!! Wowza.

The problem is, even when I listen to them, all I see is Michael Pare’s face 😂
Saw John Cafferty and his band last year. It was a Great show.
Yes 100%❤❤❤
Man all these years later and I still think John Cafferty has an iconic voice. Just sounds like the voice of a blue collar working man.
I guess u a red collar worker...
To bad Cafferty didn't sing in movie.
Did Springsteen steal cafferty’s secret sauce? Yep
Too bad you don't know wtf you're talking about. Cafferty's voice! Did you think Michael Pare was singing???
A poor man’s Bruce Springsteen, he should’ve got more credit for the music he put into this movie, aka I’m talking about John’s singing and melodies
I love the music from Eddie and the Cruisers I and II ... absolutely the best soundtracks of the 80s
add in Streets of Fire and I agree
It was a dang good movie I loved both actually they had dand good soundtrack best 80s music
John cafferty an American legend, hearts on fire from Rocky 4 another one to add to his awesome trophy cabinet!

“I knew it was you the minute i heard you play… you see, the way a man plays, he’s born with it…like finger prints, he can disguise himself under a different name, but he can’t disguise the way he plays”
Eddie was hip to the sax player when he walked into the bar..."the way a man plays...he's born with it..." Eddie knew.
Yep he did
"It is like a finger print."
If I remember correctly.
You missed it . When he first walked in the bar and started watching the band the sax player did a double take at him.
One of the coolest sax solo's ever.
I agree! Even the riff he plays while Eddie is singing is catchy and soulful.
Hey don't forget the first sax playing in the first song? That's what got Eddie to order him an Irish mist. Awesome all round.
When an older guy says he plays guitar, don’t be bold to doubt him.
Oh there's more,!
