That dad is a special kind of awful. Even after losing two of his children because of his tyrannical ways, he still refused to change. Marcus, Gabe, and Tristian all deserved so much better than what they got.
Agreed. This is an example of someone who's truly evil. Any normal sane person would feel bad about a death. This guy is an evil disgusting person and the fact that people this bad even exist is not only extremely concerning but also makes me want to vomit. Last I checked the only people who have this little care for the people around them are Sociopaths or people with other extreme mental disorders.
Honestly, i was really hoping that the father learned his lesson. But after seeing how he talked to his grandsons, i was like, "wow!" 😔😓😣 Tbh, this needs a part 2 where Marcus cuts off all contact from his dad and the dad finally comes to his senses.
I did because I have African parents it’s not like he was absuive eh was actually nice he wanted us to call him sir when doing in sports since he was my football coach
“You can’t control the family that you’re born into, but you can control the one that you create.” NO ONE should be FORCED to do things that parents WANT them to do, people should choose what THEY wanna do. Not to be fed up with HARSH family members that will lead to WORSE consequences.
Yeah why was that the message when two of the brothers never got to create their family and also the dad never learned his lesson he even did it with Marcus kids. Very poor video
It's kind of a broken lesson when the remaining son lets that asshole be around his own family when he hasn't changed at all. The message would mean more if he cut ties with his father entirely and dumped him in a nursing home. Because, yeah, that's reality. If your abusive parent is unwilling to change (esp. when their actions caused you to lose your siblings), you're within your rights to cut contact with them and move on. Bonus points if the dad's wife leaves him, too (since she basically lost all three of her sons because of him). So his unwillingness to change left this old man alone. Now *that's* a life lesson.
This video was so emotional ! Just to think parents treat kids like this in real life it’s so sad. The worse part at the end the Dad never learned his lesson for crying out loud.

Marcus should have obtained a restraining order against his father and banned him from having any relationship with his grandchildren because of his past behavior - behavior that cost his other two sons their lives
Im shocked Marcus didn’t go to court to testify against his father and sue him for abuse, even if he didn’t end up winning the case. Im also shocked his father was granted visitation rights to see his children just to treat them the same way he treated Marcus and his brothers.
For his mother Irene divorce his father Alastor and she left him for his own good due to his cruelty towards her and she moved to new city as Marcus encourage his mother to leave his father asap, she take her son's words and agreed with her son Marcus and she moving out for safety reason of her and leaves Alastor behind nothing
For Alastor he already lost everything including his wife Irene that she left him due to his abusive towards her which Marcus barred him from seeing his mother to prevent further abuse on her
This was the most realistic video. The acting n everything were on point. What makes me sad the most was that the mother didn't even try standing up for her n her sons ....... She just kept quiet the whole time.
Really realistic? The dad literally got a massive reality check by his own son but still decides to follow his own flawed way of thinking. Also why tf is the dad still with the Kid 😂😂
The father is insane! Honestly, I feel bad for his kids. However, I do like how both older brothers support and only want the best for their younger brother
@quentindonahue9042 Yeah this video was intense. I’ve seen some f**ked up character parents on Dhar Mann’s videos. But this dad takes the trophy for the worst one.
Not gonna lie Harley and Marcus are the best duo ever, and the fact that Harley gave him the motivation to stand up against his own father is just surreal!!
It’s amazing that they now have two boys, but why should Alastor even be allowed to visit his grandchildren??? He should have been banned from interaction with them (via a restraining order)
Favorite one yet, this is reality to some teenagers out there. I literally started tearing up, and when Tristan died just because of PILLS, since his dad broke his guitar and there was nothing that could distract him from his pain anymore. This is a Father who shouldn't even be seen as a father, a father is supposed to be supportive. It's true what they say, "Every child deserves a parent, but some parents don't deserve a child."
The fact that the father was still present in his son's life 10 years later and was still the same, honestly that defeated the episode altogether. It would've been better if Marcus had disowned his father and wanted no part of him in his later life and would keep him away from his grandsons. Would've been a better ending really.
Or if the dad had progressive improvements like with the other videos and then in the end those traits remain but he checks himself like a daydream of what the scenario would have been if he was his old self vs reality of a new improved dad/grandad
He should have stood up his dad on behalf of his son. Something to the nature of, “If you ever talk to my son like that again, it will be the last time you ever talk to him.” Honestly, until the dad repents, he should be forbidden contact with his grandsons.
The middle child becoming the oldest child then becoming the only child is just disappointing since the dad only cared about his own reputation and not how his own child felt.
Bro I hated the dad so much. Even after he lost two of his sons and Marcus stood up to him, he didn’t get any punishment. Marcus and the mom should’ve left him for good.
My dad was a military dad and he was never like this thank God. But most dads are and it's so sad that they push their son's to be what they couldn't be. Trying to fix their own failures by forcing them onto the kids
The quote, “You can’t control the family you are born into. But you can control the family that you create.” It ignited me up to my own beliefs that is the same as my experience I have been through.
"Honey don't look at me, you need to listen to your father." LADY!!! What kind of guy did you decide to marry!!?? and the fact that the father told her not to cry is disgusting. Fathers like that have to be disciplined. How would he feel if Marcus died to!!??
This probably one of the darkest and also saddest dhar Mann videos ever. The fact that their father only cared about boxing even in the looming aftermath of one of the brothers deaths, that just shows how little that he cares about anyone else in reality. 😭👿
I cried my eyes out watching this🥺 emotional and verbal abuse can really take a toll on someone’s mental and physical health. Marcus’ father’s aggression and abuse is the reason half of his family is dead and because of that, it traumatized Marcus to where he took his anger out on that fighter he competed against, because that’s what he pictured doing to his father. To get revenge for the trauma he caused him and his brothers. Great video as always
Yeah cause do you what prisoners would do him cause they don't like that cause they get visitors as babies and children from kindergarten elementary school middle school and high school everyday i work in a nursing home i see that all time sometimes and i might take a career in drawing
Not gonna lie, this is probably the best video in a while. Some things were particularly relatable. I literally got goosebumps when Marcus read Tristan's goodbye note (almost produced tears too). Don't wanna trauma dump so I will stop here, but it's crazy stuff how the dad didn't care when both of his sons were dying. I know some dads like that exist so my thought process is that they want to see their sons succeed at their dreams so much that they end up becoming abusive and almost seeing them as tools.
This was one of the saddest and realistic Dharr Man ive ever watched. As a person who is growing up in a oppressive parenting i definetly loved this. Thanks Dharr Man
Its crazy how the dad still didnt change and tried to implement that same fear into his grandsons, this dharr man was so sad bc families truly go through that, its good that the last son that he even had alive broke that generational trauma and made sure his sons can be anyone they wanna be and would not be loved any less
What kills me though….Is that the mother didn’t fight the father either! Therefore she didn’t choose a favorite or choose for their life paths, therefore they were dying right under her wing and she saw it. Under their father’s control. Hope she was proud holding up her tears too.
the mom was also abused by the father. be it emotionally or physically. she flinched everytime the father screamed. I feel like she knew she messed up marrying him but she dont really know what to do.
This video is so inspiring. Not because my Dad was like the dad in this video, (my Dad’s the opposite) but because it inspires me… that when I eventually have kids of my own, I will make sure I don’t pressure them to like the same things I do, they will come to their own interests and I will support them for what they choose to do with their *own* lives ❤
This story was so deep. I even started crying.. this just gives a good lesson that people go through this in real life and we have to stand up for ourselves even when it’s hard
@@mejimiky Right? I'd have just told my kids that their grandpa died before they were born (if my brothers died because of my dad, he'd be dead to *me,* so it wouldn't exactly be a lie)
Id immediately fight in court for any of my family members if I caught them repeatedly abusing my children to have no visitation rights to see my children and risk my life if it meant keeping them safe and not letting them get hurt. Im shocked Marcus didn’t go to court about this after confronting his dad and that his dad was still allowed visitation rights. Abusive parents shouldn’t have visitation rights nor custody if they do this, but sadly the justice system is horrible and fails so many children :(
I guess it doesn’t matter, cause the father can control his son and his beautiful new family anymore. And he’s become a better father than his own father will ever be

NO ONE should be FORCED to do things that parents WANT them to do, people should choose what THEY wanna do. Not to be fed up with HARSH family members that will lead to WORSE consequences.
Yeah why was that the message when two of the brothers never got to create their family and also the dad never learned his lesson he even did it with Marcus kids. Very poor video
That's true. My dad is tough but he is less aggressive than the dad shown in this video. I'm just glad he supports my passion.

Marcus should have obtained a restraining order against his father and banned him from having any relationship with his grandchildren because of his past behavior - behavior that cost his other two sons their lives

Yeah and that the mom should of divorced the father the moment any of the 2 sons passing away
He should have stood up his dad on behalf of his son. Something to the nature of, “If you ever talk to my son like that again, it will be the last time you ever talk to him.”
Honestly, until the dad repents, he should be forbidden contact with his grandsons.
I wouldn’t forgive him
Nor would I allow to have contact with my kids if I have them
