I have to admit that I agree 99% on your opinion about Aventus. I have the same batch 15x01 and I don't know why but it doesn't last so much, at least I can't smell it after 2 hours and I just don't feel so much the pineapple note, just citrus and some aquatic notes and in the background some woody-birch notes . Nice review and classy presentation! Same as you, I like a little bit more GIT than Aventus but both are great value.

Well, I have quite an unpopular opinion on this one. I believe that Olivier Creed had a LOT of help, not only from his son, but from the great genius Pierre Bourdon. You'll see people commenting on how Creed Orange Spice has striking resemblances to YSL Kouros. Well, in 1950 when Creed released Orange Spice, Bourdon was a child. But years later, my guess is that he used the Creed's structure to create our beloved King Kouros. At that moment, Creed probably noticed Bourdon's potential. Years later, GIT is launched. To me (and Luca Turin too) GIT was created by Bourdon, or at least he had a great influence on it. Shortly after, Coolwater launches onto the market with strong similarities to GIT and becomes a world success. The reverse happens years later: Montblant Individuel and Creed Original Santal. Now, look at the creations of Bourdon: he uses a tremendous amount of pineapple and blackcurrant in many of his creations, and well before 2010. So yes, my bet is that the genius Pierre Bourdon, in 2010, once again has set a trend in perfumery.
Love your take on this brother. Production-wise, elements are coming together too. Keep up the great work! =] Also, I need to revisit Bois du Portugal again. Unreal scent!

I had to decide between Aventus and Virgin Island Water. I have to admit Aventus is great but VIW is another level IMO. Be great to have a review on Creed VIW.
This one is becoming my favourite... as many I tried to resist it for a long time but its such a great frag... plus super versatile... price is a killer do I have only a 30 ml bottle so i do use sparingly... and yea sprayer is a killer. Thx for another great video.

I bought myself a 120ml bottle of this to celebrate my country's escape from the EU. Although i now live in Japan the 23rd of June will be a day off for me and i will wear a few sprays of this too. A true victory scent.

About all the reformulated frags, those that survived it intact and those that didn't. U know what I did today? I tested Nasomatto Duro. Let me just say that I was underwhelmed. Either I got a stuffy nose right now, OR this has also been reformed? I used 2 sprays each forearm and one on the shirt, and performance, sillage, projection etc were rather modest, to say the least. Hm. Where all reviewers say 2 SPRAYS MAX!! We NEED that list, because we're all watching these fantastic reviews on SUPER HUMAN scents, then buy them -and sometimes spend a lot of money on them- only to get some reformulated half ass Blah. Smell has suffered often and power almost always. What say, U up for it? I think it takes someone knowledgeable like you or Jeremy frag to do this right... Thanks, Mark

Well, I'm two hours into my initial wearing of Aventus, and can honestly say it's the best smelling fragrance I've ever worn!. In my opinion, Aventus is as much catnip for men, as Dior Sauvage is for women lol.

Well, I understand Aventus it's a good fragrance, but not my cup of tea actually, I've tried Mancera Cedrat Bois (to me it's better then Aventus and cheapier) but still, didn't ring my bells, but I must give kudos for the performance, beastly (20h later i could still smell it on my arm which is crazy cuz most fragrance don't last long on me), and also most female friends did like it but said "you have much better fragrances" one of them said "It's too manly" in a negative way. Love you chanel, keep it up :D

Nowadays I am bit sick of it cuz it seems everyone wears aventus here in Australia I can smell it on the street tram school and everywhere. Specially on Saturday night out so many people wore aventus Maybe they think they can attract chicks with their scents? Sorry abt my complaint.
I agree but since fragrance taste is personal overall, I think your opinion is very mature without falling into fanaticism and unnecessary exaggeration. Aventus is a beautiful fruity fragrance and maybe a masterpiece in its category of smell but certainly not the Almighty holy grail in the world of perfumery. Moreover, if one considers the price, it is possible to have many alternatives of that juice much cheaper. To me, the best offer of Creed's brand is without a doubt Green Irish Tweed. Cheers!

Aventus is just a citrusy confidence booster. Not many fragrances do that for me. However, as much as I personally enjoy wearing Aventus, I'm aware Sauvage is the real womanizer. That's why it's in my collection too.
I can't comment on Aventus as I've never smelled it. However, I will be buying a sample soon. Sauvage is the real deal though, I like the smell but every woman LOVES it!. Bought my first bottle 5 weeks ago, and after a nonstop blast of compliments, decided to buy a back up bottle last week!.
+MrSmelly1977 very true!. I'm done with worrying about smelling unique. The "smell good and you know it" people pleasers are great for those around you and your confidence. Nothing but compliments with Sauvage personally....like nothing I've experienced before....even the guys at work love it, haha! 😂.
Have you tried the super-hyped Club de Nuit Intense Man by Armaf? I got it a few days ago and it can't compare to the real Aventus in my opinion. It smells like lemon and the performance is less than average (on my skin, at least). Also, you don't get that initial fresh pineapple blast. Shame... But if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys, right?
I haven't tried that one yet. I do have l'aventure by Al Haramain which is also an Aventus clone. I find that one to be pretty good actually. In the opening you can tell a big difference but after a few minutes it's very close to Aventus. I guess the Creeds have an X factor that's hard to identify that makes them more nuanced or something. It's really hard to tell if the real thing smells noticeably classier to other people smelling you or not.

MrSmelly1977 I'm pretty much 100% certain he would not be offended, he comes across as a very agreeable guy. The editing was hilarious. Also nice to have one of the few foreigners in the frag community reviewing (or are *we* all the foreigners)...;p Love/Hate relationship with Creed; I respect what they do and in fairness I am not a "freshy" fan, which is what a large portion of their line consists of. Fact is, I actually "like" Aventus...I just do not "love" it, at all, and the over-hype in the community drives me nuts. I won't wear it. I introduced it to a woman as well and she was immediately repelled by it (I did not prompt her *at all*). It would be a good $60 USD frag...not what they price it at tho. Drives me nuts. I enjoy your vids, keep up the great work, and btw, great background setting during the review on this one. Any scenery from over there is always welcome.

I can't comment on Aventus as I've never smelled it. However, I will be buying a sample soon. Sauvage is the real deal though, I like the smell but every woman LOVES it!. Bought my first bottle 5 weeks ago, and after a nonstop blast of compliments, decided to buy a back up bottle last week!.
Yes Aventus makes me feel confident too. There is much evidence to suggest you're right about Sauvage and women!
Ifg you get non stop compliments then that fragrance is a definite keeper!

Nothing but compliments with Sauvage personally....like nothing I've experienced before....even the guys at work love it, haha! 😂.

Have you tried the super-hyped Club de Nuit Intense Man by Armaf?
I got it a few days ago and it can't compare to the real Aventus in my opinion. It smells like lemon and the performance is less than average (on my skin, at least).
Also, you don't get that initial fresh pineapple blast. Shame... But if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys, right?
I haven't tried that one yet. I do have l'aventure by Al Haramain which is also an Aventus clone. I find that one to be pretty good actually. In the opening you can tell a big difference but after a few minutes it's very close to Aventus. I guess the Creeds have an X factor that's hard to identify that makes them more nuanced or something. It's really hard to tell if the real thing smells noticeably classier to other people smelling you or not.

Love/Hate relationship with Creed; I respect what they do and in fairness I am not a "freshy" fan, which is what a large portion of their line consists of. Fact is, I actually "like" Aventus...I just do not "love" it, at all, and the over-hype in the community drives me nuts. I won't wear it.
I introduced it to a woman as well and she was immediately repelled by it (I did not prompt her *at all*). It would be a good $60 USD frag...not what they price it at tho. Drives me nuts.
