May the three members of Lutrell’s squad who died that day rest in peace. Along with the men who died trying to rescue them when their helicopter was shot down
It is very supicious how Marcus had 11 magazines, may the operators of Operation Redwings rest in peace! I wish for the safety and care our ocuntry servicemen and women deserve.
Crazy thing is a lot of people talk about this operation saying it was only 12-13 guys yeah, excluding Marcus Luttrell who by all accounts still had 11 mags on him, and the photo that gulab took of him showing no facial damage as he claimed, the real video footage of Michael Murphy and Danny Dietz you can tell by their uniforms and faces they had been busted up, and fought, Matthew Axelsons body was never shown, but that’s still 3 confirmed guys who fought 12-13 trained Taliban on unfamiliar ground and Danny was the only one with prior combat, so in my opinion they the three of them are heroes in my book for holding out as long as they did, I would love to see some of the keyboard warriors on here fight off 12 guys with automatic weapons and only 2 of their friends on unfamiliar mountainous terrain see how long you would hold out too
@@erich.2550it’s commonly believed through evidence and quotes from Marcus himself that this entire story was fabricated by the us navy as a recruitment tactic and to make everyone look good. It’s more than likely that in real life Marcus only survived because he ran away and hid from the fight and left his brothers behind to die. But who knows, none of us were there that day.
In such encounters, taliban casualties were normally very heavy as the taliban couldn't maintain fire discipline and couldn't achieve fire superiority or lay down effective fire supression. They basically relied on shock/surprise tactics and if they failed to achieve effective surprise or shock, they relied on numerical superiority advantage. In simple words, they could take casualties but the NATO guys were very casualty shy. If brought into a tight corner, we provided them with covering fire which could comprise of mortar, grenade or HMG or all three. This encounter is very accurately depicted.
Every failure has been depicted as a story of great courage and success.
we might have a hard life, but a soldier choses a hard life themselves 🫡
Chooses not choses
@@CodyTorres-s5c yup
They can choose not to fight it out unless forced to

11 full mags. This was written by the state department.
A soldier who complained the release of the hostages survived, but the others died. What a irony.
Damn this new Call of Duty Game looks badass 😂

@@erich.2550The lone survivor marcus was found with 11 unused mags on him which probably makes it obvious that he ran away and never fought
