I recently graduated high school but in elementary and middle school and the beginning of my freshman year in high school I was bullied and Unfournately it changed me in some ways one of them being that I harmed myself because it "took the pain away" or I thought it was taking it away but it wasn't and I know that now.... When I first heard this song I cried because memories of what I had done flooded through me and even now When I hear it or sing it I cry because I'm reminded of what I did and this song is telling me I should've stood in the light and got seen for who I was but instead I had cut on myself and constantly had thought suicidal even once yelling at my bullies that I was gonna be gone the next day cause I was gonna commit suicide like they wanted..... Which I clearly didn't and never attempted either but I did harm myself which was in a sense even worse........ Anyway I'm gonna stop rambling and I'm gonna tell you that YOU are STRONGER than them and please be stronger than I was don't let bullying make you think suicidal constantly or make you think that cutting is releasing the pain because it won't......
