  • Cut up a spruce log that I was able to get for free from a friends front yard. I was able to get 18, 10 foot 2x4s out of it. At todays prices that equates to around $144 dollars of lumber. I plan on drying them out and making a solar kiln. A great reason to own your own mill.

Nice work area with a beautiful view. Might I suggest that you turn your "dogs" around 180' so that the slant is facing the cant. That will facilitate its rolling. Let me know your thoughts on the Woodland Mills product, I have had a couple of design and quality issues with my HM126. I'm gonna do a review on my channel and want other peoples opinions first. Thx and subbed.

I know I should flip them to roll it but then i get carried away and the next thing I know i have cut into it so I just leave the point side to the log. most of the time my logs are small enough that I can slide them forward on the bunk then roll no problems. For the cost of the machine I cant complain too much the only complaint is that the angle iron track could never be perfect. Even calling and talking to support. This doesn't show on the cut so must not be too big a deal.

@@tinkertime3849 Yip, the track is one of the things I am going to address, along with the throttle cable, carriage lift, and a few other things I am tinkering with. Cheers!
