My favorite spot. Been coming here for three of last four fall breaks, be back second week of October. Found nice rental within easy walking distance of Publix and beach is just south of Manitee Beach. Great food as well.
Thanks for the video! Very cool community if you stay in a condo on the water but if you are touring in a van or a Class B RV you'll find it nearly impossible to park and get on the beach except one little public beach near a small shopping area. The whole northern point of the island is covered in rental properties and large expensive homes on the water. The marketing of this "out of the way" tourist area is way over blown. It looks like everything else in coastal Florida. Terrible traffic, over priced retail and packed to the rafters like Key West.
Omw..your country is so beautiful. This gorgeous little town I think, is the epitome of communities. People all over the world desire to live in a such a peaceful, cosy, laid back environment, especially with all that's going on in the world right now. Blessings from South Africa.

A lot of people going to the USVI or Bahamas might be missing a great beach vacation right here in Florida. On the Gulf coast Anna Maria Island is great and on the Atlantic Coast I love Anastasia Island. Being a body board surfer means that for the last 28 years living in Florida, I have usually gone to the Atlantic beaches for some surfing. There is not much surfing to do on the Gulf coast unless you have a storm brewing out there. But, for non-surfers, Anna Maria Island is a delight for beach combers and snorkelers.
We could not agree more! We love Anna Maria, Siesta Key and recently we got to explore Clearwater. All are very beautiful and yet have a different feel to them. Although our favorite beach is Caspersen Beach down near Venice... not many people know about this one! Fantastic spot for Shark Teeth Hunting!

I like your regular updates on red tines near Sarasota, give idea of effects inthe area. Hoping it clears up ASAP. Regularly checking the FLA DNR reports. Be interested to see if it is better up in AMI as it seems worse the further south you go.

Thank you Nancy. We just made a short video showcasing Coquina beach but unfortunately the beach was not there on the day we visited. We only learned about it after we got home. :( We were sure to give it a mention though. Will be uploaded tomorrow.
This video is highly distorted and misrepresents AMI. It is crowded, noisy, has too much traffic, and the towns are extremely repressive in enforcing parking and noise ordinances that can ruin your vacation. Plus, last time I was there, the red tide was so bad you couldn't go to the beach and the canals were full of dead fish.
