Congratulations Ranger, so proud of you! I have been watching you from the start. I had my doubts about many thru hikers, but I never doubted you. Your enthusiasm and love for the trail was very clear from the start. Thank you so much! Way to go!

I'm glad you enjoyed them. I'll be doing a gear review of all I used or would use next time, if you have any questions just ask here and I'll try to answer on that video.

VanMaiTai haha, yeah it being over is a little bitter for sure, but that just means time for the next adventure :) thanks for watching, and glad you enjoyed the videos. any suggestions for improving future videos?

Honestly if I was able to watch all of your videos and enjoy them, I'm not sure. You can't really help the noise wind makes... I saw someone suggest a cotton ball for the mic opening on the phone but I'm not sure if I'd be able to hear the speaker that well doing that. Plus that's just more weight you'd have to carry hahahaha! Looking forward to seeing future adventures!

Congratulations Steve! Loved all the videos from the start man. I'm planning on attempting it myself after I finish college. Can you make a video on your resupply strategy? I would love to get some tips on that.

What did you do with your food bag on the different sections of the trail?

congratulations Ranger Steve! one question regarding gear - do you think that running sneakers (not trail runners) would be doable? I have really flat feet, and just about the only sneaker that provides enough stability (along with my orthotics) are road sneakers. so, what do you think? would it be an issue to not have a "lugged" sneaker?
    thanks in advance!

I saw many different types of shoes on the trail and it's really up to your personal preference in the end but I would recommend a shoe with solid tred. there are many miles of uneven slick rock and that's when dry. I wore the Altra lonepeak 2.5s and 3.0s they are a trail running shoe with a zero drop.

thanks Steve. That is what I was afraid of - some of the trail being more like my stomping grounds, the AT.
