You get a sub from me! This are the kinds of labbing I do with characters I like to play. I take a long time labbing and these kinds of guides are the ones that lessen my time in practice mode go straight to rank. It's just different when you know these kinds of things. I suggest you make frame trap videos like from Jun's side SS 4 or f4.
amazing video, can't wait to see more! love these, keep them coming. learning so much as a tekken noob playing jun! any tips on how to approach neutral? i'm sure a video is coming out but i find myself relying too much on the 11 string and feel like it is super punishable against some advanced opponents to simply duck or block low. finding a hard time finding a reliable move to get an opening?
I forget the string exactly but ff3,4 (or is it ff3,3+4) is my favorites. Super long reach on the kick makes it not whiff often and puts you at major plus frames and allows you to get close
@@ashernfiveit's ff3, 3+4 yeah. IIRC correctly if the second hit is blocked it puts you at +3 and cause knockdown on hit for a guaranteed follow-up. Be careful of using it against seasoned players though, as Jun can be floated out of the second hit.
@@leo_theSable you're definitely right! Especially if you whiff the first kick, my experience has always been getting jabbed or floated (even accidentally). Quick players can float you with a jab even if they block the first kick
d2 and WS 2 are also pretty good CH moves since they both work as a combo starter! For CH d2, I used WS 2 to get the combo started. As for WS 2, any tornado move seemed to work well.
I'm maining Jun right now and I find my stance transitions always getting interrupted. I labbed it and found out that opponents can hopkick you out of all the stance options except IZU 3 and the armored moves. The armored moves unfortunately lack damage or cost too much HP to be even worth the risk of getting launched. 😢
Thank you! I was actually thinking about it at some point but I need to buy a mic, I really don’t want to use headphones as they sound very low quality. Also, I am not really experienced with those stuff and this fact makes me nervous lol It is on my mind though!
I've managed to reach assailant and opponents no longer eat my launchers. It's very slowly getting to me how hard this game gets, with opponents no longer pressing buttons who wait for my move i sometimes feel very lost in neutral. i'm throwing in some jabs and trying to block their moves checking what can i punish with uf+1. it's going to be a long journey, haha.
Great video! Only problem is landing any of these in purple ranks or above. I always practice the FC df2 combo during warm up but even after a couple hundred matches, nobody has ever fallen for it. I mostly get launched when trying to go for obvious FC setups like this one. I've had WAAAY more success sneaking in FC db1+2 here and there.
Thank you! I have no problem with fc df2, I can say it is one of my main low poke. I just crouch in front of them and do it lol I haven't played the game since March, will see how it goes in the blue ranks. But as a fact, I should do more crouch throw. I always forget it exist; it is really powerful now that the throws are buffed in Tekken 8!
When’s you go up the ranks above warrior it’s when you have to stop mashing and learning punishs moves and counters moves like it 100 percent matters I’m still stuck on warrior but I’m understanding I also need to play defensive as well you can’t just go offense too much.
FC? WS? Those green dots? Tekken is soooo hard for a new player. I feel like I'm constantly asking questions because everyone does notations differently. Edit: For new players (WS is what Tekken 8 calls Rising. As in, when rising from a crouched position to standing.) (FC is just Crouch but more complicated because Tekken. It means Full Crouch, as opposed to a half crouch? I'm unsure.)
Yeah that’s on me actually. I’ve prepared a little chart for newer players for abbreviations. It is in my Jun Combo Guide video but I always forget to put it in other videos. You are also correct! WS is While Standing (sometimes people call it While Rising) and FC is Full Crouch where you have access to different moves from crouch. Those green dots have no meaning, they are just arrows as in “>” (tho I agree it looks small) to show you what to do after a move. When you see that it usually means “follow that move with this move”. Hope it is helpful!
@@Pssms It's fine, I found an old Gamefaqs from 2009 that broke it down for me haha. You're one of the best sources for Jun so far, so I'll definitely be watching this space. I never played 7 so I don't know Josie much, but I've a feeling I'll be tracking similar characters to you, so anyone you want to play I'll be following. :) Thanks for the explanation. I asked about the green dots because in your Wall Combo video some of the moves don't link up properly and were separated by green dots. So I figured they had to be special somehow hehe.
That’s so nice of you! Thank you for watching. You probably mean Julia, my main in Tekken 7. Sad that she had to sit the base roster out for a second time but it is what it is. I hope you enjoy Tekken 8, I would be happy to help if you have any more question in the future!
@yadavpawan384 I screenshot them and use photoshop to cut into png, I will keep searching for better tools - hope someone do similar stuff only for Tekken
All setups timestamped:
0:02 FC df2 - WS 3 (open)

As a Josie main 😢 I’ve gotten attached to Jun so thanks for the helpful content
No Azucena?
I was wondering what all she could get from CH Izumo f 1+2 😮 and I love the combos you did from the Heat engagers !
Excellent work as always!
such a beautiful style

On the last CH, if you use 1 instead of 2 you get a better launcher

i wanted to know the follow up for counter hit while standing 1+2 :(
That’s a CH launch so you can do any of the combo routes you know!

Do you know what's the best wall combo for Jun? Because they nerfed ff+3, 3+4, 1+2.
oooh i didnt know you can enter gen from b2,1
hello is it ok if you make a staple combo video with optimal launchers
Hello, I already have a Jun combo video with all the staples!

Yo, you're one of my favorite youtubers. Do you have a discord server? 🙏
Thank you! I don't have a discord server, maybe in the future? I don't know lol
I see, well if you have a discord account, can i add you? I'm a big Julia&Michelle fan and i really hope they add Julia (or Jaycee) in Tekken 8
I do have a discord account but I rarely use it, but you can find me with my own youtube name I think? Idk how that works
I can´t hit the 0:13 combo
I tried to learn Jun, but for some reason, I just gravitated towards Azucena. I like my coffee queen.
I actually been playing Azucena as well, she is fun!
1,2 into 1,3 into df 1,2 continuously till they adapt.
how about her df+4?
Awesome
Also I’m still new at the game, question anyone is the nunchuck move from law punishable?
Pick Law as an opponent in training and have him use that move so you can find the best counter bruh.
