"Soren you are a male alter why are you wearing make up?" Cause he is killing it! I am honestly baffled at how talented you are at makeup. This video specifically scratched the same itch as a Bob Ross tutorial. Keep up the great content, everyone!

Not realizing you’re about to switch or that someone’s close sometimes is so relatable. Whenever one of our friends notices it before us, they’ll reenact that one vine where a kid slowly turns around and goes “Wait a minute- who ARE you?”
Another common one is from asdf which we’ll do whenever we finally clocked that we’re in front.
    “DESMOND the Moon Bear.”
Desmond: “…How did I get here?”
    “THE END!”

I'm only a sophomore in high school (in the u.s.) but i want to pursue a career in specialized clinical psychology for DID and OSDD, and you guys were my awakening to that. the amount of information on therapy techniques and treatment of DID is so minimal, you guys have been such a huge help in coming to understand the disorder better and how to interact with it. this year I've been blessed with the knowledge that one of my older sister's best friends whom ive known since I was born found out they have DID themselves, and your videos have been a huge help in navigating that. thank you so much for all you do, and I'm glad you're feel better!!!!!!

Fun Tip: you can also remodel internal places over and over again. You can remake a space into something new like tearing down an old building and making a park in its place but there will often be an element of the place that never changes and stays consistent. This is the clue to the original trauma. It’s often in symbol or code to protect the system.

it’s so interesting to here from a system who can’t control their inner world. i can basically completely control my inner world (im the only one in my system who can, nobody else can make permanent fixtures, they’ll disappear over time).
when we were 11 we spent a summer almost completely isolated (unrelated to the pandemic, this was long before then). to cope, i started to completely build up our inner world unknowingly. and now i can still do that a decade later -Silver

I love this videos style and how open it is. You’ve never really hid your thoughts about having to live life with DID but in this video I really felt like you said it for the first time. I think these kinds of videos where you just talk about everyday life are really important for showing people more of how alters feel about their situation and how they deal with it. It’s like your sitting down and chatting with a friend.
It also feels like just getting to know you, Soren, better. You’re a silly and kind person who is struggling with trusting others. But you also feel like a friend who would make sure your breathing okay after a long run, or will walk you to the nurses office , or will simply hang out with you on a rough day.
Your channel is part of what is inspiring me to take up psychology, not just to learn about how the brain works, but to help people live average lives. Also, killer makeup.

Possibly like a 'Room of Requirment' situation for the first bit? Our Gatekeeper is the one who builds places, fixes, and runs the inside, so we have no idea and wouldn't need this, ourselves 😅

Forbidden chocolate mousse! Also the dots give monarch butterfly vibes, love it!
I love this style of video! The music in the background is very soothing, as is watching the makeup. I don't wear any personally, but I do love watching other people apply it. It is also nice to have these chats that feel a bit more casual. The other style is informative, this feels a bit like getting personal advice from someone experienced. Both are great, I guess it just depends what you're feeling and what fits topics you want to cover.

I have been going through a crisis since winter where i had my first memories about extreme dissociations and i have been on a journey between forgetting, denying and freaking out about dissociation / did related to me. Right now i am convinced i could have it since i just looked back over some diagnostic criteria again. Your channel has really helped me so far especially on days where i was unsure about everything. I love this makeup and also this kind of video, would love to see more of it :)

I love this style video of like a casual chat while doing something (makeup, arts/crafts, drawing, etc) could be anything! I'm also just blown away with the graphic liner you're able to do on the body! I would LOVE a tutorial on it, but otherwise I love the chill more relaxed videos, it feels very cosy and like you're chatting with a friend :)

NGL super jealous of how amazing and creative you are with makeup! Love the almost feline look, with just a bit of pixie shimmer and sparkle tossed in as well.
Also, thank you for not editing out the dissociating/switchy bits. All we could think about was "that is exactly what friends and family have constantly described us doing during conversations." I'm only recently becoming aware of our parts and everything has been extra messy for the last couple of months. Seeing in others what I know I/we have experienced our whole life makes it a lot easier to accept.

hey I saw a TikTok of someone testing their old eyeshadow palette for bacteria growths and there was like absolutely nothing growing in the Petri dish, so you're probably completely fine using your old makeup haha. as long as it stays dry, the only thing that changes after the "expiration date" is likely just the texture:) as usual your makeup is flawless, and this style of video is honestly very nice!

Smells and tastes are really strong triggers, we can’t use blistex berry chapstick because it’s the only kind we were allowed to use the whole time we were incarcerated or “hospitalized” as a kid and it’s a very distinct smell and texture.

Soren what you said about your discomfort when not being in control really resonated with me. You all look amazing in that look!! ❤
When you were talking about that space your therapist talked about making, it made me think that maybe she was talking about a room of requirement type thing, like in Harry Potter…. It’s a space but it will provide exactly what the person looking for it needs. Maybe that’s why a little was needed? To try and conceive of such a space is often lost as we grow and age, because our experiences make us disillusioned and dull our childlike wonder and belief in things like magic.
Always enjoy seeing you all, hope all is going well! ❤

@calzonexiv That's such an interesting concept! I was very intrigued by what Soren said about it and to me it sounded like some type of... "Reward" room for alters who are doing a good job at healing though since I saw your comment my idea seems quite silly 😅 It makes sense in a way of "it'll have everything that it needs" and the space kind of being an alter itself, changing depending on what the brain needs! Very good analogy to the Harry Potter requirement room.

A 'Room of Requirement' is the first place all our brains went to inside 😅 I didn't like the way (the therapist) said it's like an alter.. Because not exactly! But I guess that was the easiest way to explain it cause heck if anyone knows anymore 😅 -Pan & Aris

I really love this video❤ Also I think it makes sense that places in the inner world simply works if they need to work, every alter and place is made up by your brain and function on their own because your brain coordinates everything so that you can live your life. Alters are their own people, working independently, places in the inner world are too. As long as your brain-logic says something will aid you (wether it actually is or not) it will work.

I personally love chill videos like this, because we get to hang out with you. It's also still educational to see live switches and triggers. I used to love seeing day in the life vlogs of just normal stuff you'd do in a day and get to come along and hang out with you. I have been in bed trying to recover from illness and chronic fatigue on and off for months now, after a really traumatic year. so just putting on youtube to "hang out" with my favourite creators is so soothing when I cant get out of bed. so if you want to create more casual videos that take less capacity-- go for it!
P.S I've been watching you for like 5 years, and you're my favourite DID creator. I admire how bravely and authentically you share your life. I'm sending you so much love from Australia xxx
