looks really nice. I like the idea of being hired and having to take care of your client for prolonged periods of time. I wish there were more mercenary-esque games like this, kinda creates a fun low-stakes, yet still care about the situation involvement. Way more interesting than trying to save the world. a small polish thing i am thinking that would, for me personally, make it feel a little more... exciting is if the characters/enemies had a little more animated idle animations as they are standing in combat. Looking at that skeleton did not make me feel that was a skeleton wanting to kill you. he looked like he was waiting in a queue at a coffee shop. maybe just have him hold his weapon with both hands and kinda bend his knees and bob up and down in anticipation. I understand you are pretty early on, I am an artist as well, and have only dabbled in game dev and understand the exhausting process, but i also play a lot of indie games and the ones that really pull me in with little details of presentation like that. anyway I subscribed, excited to see where the game goes!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I agree that its the small details that go a long way to bringing life into the world. Idle animations sure are something easy to overlook but now you've said it, its all I can see. Thanks for the advice!
Looks like an interesting combo! I look forward to seeing more
