According to a recent Netflix documentary, there are more forgeries of famous paintings hanging in museums than most people suspect. From time to time, these cases come to light. But what about faith in God? The easiest thing to do is to simply say that one is a believer. But where’s the proof? James addressed this, giving four telltale signs to help us spot the genuine from the fake.
You’ve probably been in a situation where there was confusion, even pandemonium, and most people were acting like immature children. What was needed was just one person to act like an adult and bring decorum and civility back. In such situations, one might say, “Where is the adult in the room?” It refers to someone who will behave responsibly in a mature manner. The book of James is about spiritual maturity. It is a call to grow up and not just grow old. James was the adult in the room.
    HOW TO KNOW GOD

This message really moved me and helped me really understand true faith and works, after I was baptized in 2019 and did my alter call in 2013, I sinned and I fell away from Christ but I came back in the last few years, I never went up again for an alter call but I changed my life well Christ did as I asked him to and confessed and repented and saw how i was not really walking with him. But today this really helped me understand, thank you Skip for always preaching truth and making it understandable for people to understand. Thank you thank you 🙏🏻

Excellent to hear - in a world where evangelism seems to want to promise a simple confession of belief and you are saved and no works are required.

      Exodus 2:3-10
"3 When she could hide him( Moses😊❤) no longer, she took for him a basket made of bulrushes and daubed it with bitumen and pitch. She put the child in it and placed it among the reeds by the river bank.
4 And his sister stood at a distance to know what would be done to him.
5 Now the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river, while her young women walked beside the river. She saw the basket among the reeds and sent her servant woman, and she took it.

"8 In those days, when again a great crowd had gathered, and they had nothing to eat,
      he (Jesus😊1st❤)
called his disciples to him and said to them,
2 " I have compassion to the crowd, because they have been with me now and three days and have nothing to eat.
3 And if I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way. And some of them have come from far away."
4 And his disciples answered him, " How can one feed these people with bread here in this desolate place? "
5 And he asked them, " How many loaves do you have? "
      They said, " Seven."
6 And he directed the crowd to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves, and having thanks, he broken them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people; and they set them before the crowd.
7 And they had a few small fish. And having blessed them, he said that these also should be set before them.
8 And they ate and were satisfied. And they took up the broken pieces left over, seven baskets full.
9 And there were about four thousand people. And he sent them away.
10 Immediately he got into the boat with his disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha."( Mark 8:1-10 ESV Study Bible)

Oh my word, as a widow I can tell you how Christians do not help. I personally feel the church let's widows down big time!!! My bible study groups ask how I am. "Well ..I injured my back, can barely move. Can't sleep, can't do chores, can't look after my yard". Response: "well I will pray for you"... And they did with NO offers of help
in any form. I might add ten weeks of healing, weekly study, No help. Incredulous, so do not be like that. Help those who need help.

This makes me question if I'm saved and I've been so bothered too because I have asked myself this same question. Am I saved and is it showing in my life? You can read the Bible front and back and memorize it but without relationship with Jesus it's useless.

Obeying despite of consequence is reminiscent of Mary Magdalene at the feet of Jesus while Martha ridicules her for not helping with the chores, Jesus replied beautifully.
Any advice on what one should do when the demons ask them to "save them"? Besides know that Christ Jesus saves.

Seems to me, Luther has disagreed on many things about the Bible, how are people like that truly saved? First his antisemitism then his misunderstanding of God's grace and faithfulness towards us.
How do we bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit?? By our works which is a production of our faith in Christ. Paul and James compliment each other not contradict.
