Interesting that the owner chose single stage. But I know Toyota used single stage on all of the solid/non-metallic colors back in that era. So in that regard it makes sense. My other thought being an original SuperCharged car to keep it's value the highest would be to return it all back to factory and thus white again. But again doesn't look to be the goal here. The moldings down the side had embedded stripes so sanding of the molding would need to be done to reveal them again since they are painted over.

Base coat single stage, to be covered by a normal 2K clear coat for extra protection
