    Thank you for this! it's exactly what I needed! I am struggling with the click + shift + drag across - at minute 1:52. Can someone please help? When I do it - it does not snap into place with the pink lines. Thanks in advance!

    Super easy to follow tutorial, thank you! How did you decide what size to make the logos?

    • @nicolaschina3874
      @nicolaschina3874 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It really comes down to how large you want to display them, how many you want in each row, and how much space you want around them. If you want to do 8 logos across the top instead of 6, just divide the total width (in this case 120in) by 8 (instead of 6) and that's how wide you need to make your "template rectangles".

    If I am making them for a facebook cover photo (a 820x360) graphic what should the size of the rectangles be at the start?

    • @pixilatedphotobooth
      @pixilatedphotobooth  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey @bensalutz1938 I replied on the thread with donsu but in case it got buried, here is my response --
      For 820x360 you could go with 5 logos across by 3 logos tall. In that scenario, the rectangles would be 164px wide by 120px tall.
      If you wanted to have more logos, you could double and half -- double the logo count in each row and column to 10 logos by 6 logos and then half the rectangle size to 82px wide by 60px tall.

    If you are trying to align to the top of the artboard, and nothing is happening. You need to Go to Window -> Align and then set the "Align To" property to "Align to Artboard"

    do you group them at the end or not?

    • @pixilatedphotobooth
      @pixilatedphotobooth  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could group them if you wanted to keep from accidentally selecting one and moving it out of the grid, but it isn't a necessary step.

    Why don't you use the pattern tool instead? Indesign has a step n repeat option, too.

    • @pixilatedphotobooth
      @pixilatedphotobooth  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not too familiar with the pattern tool, but I'll have to check it out and give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion!

      Hi Kristine, apologies if this tutorial was a bit more advanced than you expected. We tried to go step-by-step so it was easy to follow, but you're right, there are some parts where the terminology or familiarity with the tools might be difficult for a beginner on Adobe Illustrator. Appreciate your feedback!
