Sonic: Scorched Quest, formerly known as Sonic 1: Burned Edition is a fan-made hack by Team Painto of Sonic the Hedgehog game for the Sega Mega Drive, which shows one of Sonic's adventures after the events of Sonic CD on South Island. It focuses on redesigning the original stages to set them in fire. Initial releases just burned the levels, but in later versions, a story was added to explain it and also to create a new experience for the player. Current version is pre-3.0 or pre-final which is the third release.

Didn't really work for me. The 50 rings code makes my game think I have 0 rings and the emeralds code seems to remove my transforming ability altogether.
